If y’all are headed up to Montana thru Idaho after mid May, my wife and I are Camp Host at Sand Hills RV Resort.. Located just outside of Rexburg Idaho on the St. Anthony Sand Hills.. The best Sand Hills in the West.. We would love to see y’all again.. We met y’all at Ambassador RV a couple of years ago.. Stay Safe & Enjoy your travels.. Mark & Bev..
If you live where we do, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I watch container barges a tugs traversing the distance between New Orleans and Mobile Bay each day from my living room.
The RGV as you already know. Fantastic winter here this year. Went to cowboy church, which was cool. We stay at the escapees park in Gulf Shores every May and October.
Spending the winter back in our spot in the Foothills in Yuma. Exciting adventure ahead for us, we leave January 30th for an 18 day cruise to Hawaii out of San Diego. Try and get out to Howl at the Moon in your Can Am if you are in the area when it happens, awesome event, just to people watch and see all the side by sides...great riding out there during the day. Stay safe!
Hello! Another great video guys. You are definitely right. I know I enjoy seeing the scenery as you travel. My wife and I live in Sarasota Florida so from Thanksgiving to April we stay home. Like you said, there is no better place to spend the winter. They say that Florida and Arizona battle it out for RV capital of America. I have never been to Arizona, but as you see Florida definitely has its share of RV'ers. Especially in the winter months. It never ceases to amaze me how they all start flocking here in October. Then we have a mass Exodus for Thanksgiving and a mass return after Christmas.
Hi guys!! Yes we have a strong arctic system coming through. Snowing right now and high winds coming in tonight until Saturday night. Supposed to be -5 degrees by tomorrow. We've been preparing for it all week getting the 5th wheel ready. Wish we were down south right now!! 😂 Safe travels...💜
Hello from Patrick and I in Yuma!! We do plan on visiting Quartzsite tent show for at least one day. We’ll be here until the end of April, then off to Oregon.
😊 I've been a long distance truck driver for over 30 years. Originally from New Jersey, moved to eastern Colorado in 18. I've been in all 48 states many times. I can't get used to being in any time zone for very long. Rvs headed to Florida on January 2nd, could be headed to the Tampa rv show...
Jason....it was great to meet you as well. Sorry we didn't get a chance to get back together. It's been a crazy few days trying to prepare for Quartzsite. Enjoy your new adventures and we really enjoyed our visits. Hope to cross paths again at some point.
I recognized the roads y’all were not far from me. Wish I could’ve meet y’all I was not far from the Satsuma exit in Mobile. I live just over the bridge in the next county at the first exit 20 minutes away. I just had my 4 year anniversary of watching your videos and it has been a blast. I have a lot on my bucket list by watching your videos. Y’all are so awesome and I hope to one day meet you both and maybe travel to your side of the country. Love your videos so keep doing what you’re doing. Stay safe and God bless
Hello my friends. Thanks for the update. I’ll be retired by the end of the month. Currently riding the weather roller coaster here in Upstate New York. Stay safe out there you two.
Hey Guys! Love the travel videos. I myself run from OKC to San Diego for Christmas Then to Quartzite 15th-30th. Newmar Rally and Big tent. (See you there) then Phoenix for 2 months and back to OKC.
Hi, great video. I am in Iowa, we just got about 23 inches of snow this last 5 days, now we are about 40 below windshield. We are to be in this arctic 🥶 weather for about 3-4 days. I am trying to stay warm, lol. I am dreaming of the day when I can travel southwest, lol. Thank you again for an amazing video. God Bless
So good to SEE your smiling faces again. Love my Arm Chair travels with you. I look forward each time a video comes out to "see" where i am going next with you. Right now it's really windy and COLD here in Southern B.C. on the west Coast of Canada. -17c or 1F and gusty winds. Going to get colder before we see the warmth again. Have had a good winter but now it"s WINTER. thanks for having me along. Safe journeys God bless =)
LOVE your channel. Had hoped to have actually been able to meet ya when ya were in Gulf Shores. We are hunkering in Gulf Shores. We are not retired so we still have to work so we can't be mobile. Sitting is our only choice. I love your music choices --- I love your content. YES those darn pine trees are all over the South. LOL Be safe.
Great video. Just did this drive yesterday unexpectedly to escape the destruction left from Tuesday's storm! Currently north of Mobile for our first time in AL! Loving this state so far!
Great video and although it’s sunny and warm here in So Cal we’re going to brave the cold and wind to boondock out in “Q” for the tent show then Yuma area after that. Maybe we’ll see you again at the meet and greet. Last time we saw ya’ was West Coast HDT in 2022!! (Jim prayed for me) Too long- be safe! 🙏
Our first Snowbird experience! We are from Wisconsin and Now in Las Creuces! On our way to Yuma and Quartsite and sure hope we get to meet you! I watch you every week!
Wish we were going west, -2 here in the Ozarks, this weather is hard on everything, my battery warmers stopped working, but warm thoughts, and Bourbon should make it ok. Safe travels y'all.
Well our US travels are coming to an end, almost a year on the road of your wonderful country, through 16 states and 4 Canadian provinces 16500 miles travelled in our European truck camper, total diesel 3513$. And thankyou Jim for suggesting AT&T, it’s been pretty good and we could use it in Canada. Back to the U.K. with a further 6 hour time difference for us.
Hi Jim and Kelly! I’m so glad you were able to hang out with friends in Alabama and now headed to Texas. Hope you have fun there as well and in Yuma and Quartzsite, Arizona. Glad your car is all fixed and ready to go. It’s been windy rainy cold all week here in Henderson Nv. This morning it snowed but it didn’t stick. Hopefully it will warm up. Where I’m from in Michigan it’s supposed to to snow a ten inches. My brother said it hasn’t snowed yet. But anyways. Stay safe and warm and safe travels. Have a great weekend and week. See you next week. Love you both! ❤❤
I'm like you, 2-3 wks max (more often is the norm) and then I move on, about 10 months out of the year, mostly western states. 2 months in SW AZ, but I'm looking to consider FL or Southern Texas next year. I'm currently bored in Parkerz, AZ...😂
You're getting that itchy feeling aren't you Kathleen! Parker is fun, but we try and explore some of the areas around Lake Havasu and Palm Canyon. Enjoy the journey and maybe we'll cross paths at some point.
Not to be picky Bill, but, her name is spelled KELLIE. 🤣 Please don’t nitpick the small stuff. Jim and Kellie don’t have to share their travels with us, but are graciously doing so. Let’s just enjoy 👍🏼
No snow birding this year...we got the HDT, got it registered as Motorhome, now bunk reno & design over winter, and start working on it in the spring. Headed to Tampa next week toy hauler hunting, never been so should be quite the experience. I get the time zone issues, I dealt with them when I was trucking, but we deal with the same issues as you when we get in the Pacfic North west. Glad to hear the smart car is fixed...lol...we or should I say I'm hunting for one, my beautiful bride Wendy isn't a fan of them but understands that's the only thing that fits sideways on the truck. Happy New Year & wishing you all the best in 2024.
The southeast is the pine belt. And this region is the largest producer of lumber in the U.S. You just don’t see it like you do in the Northwest . The southern yellow pine in a softer wood that you have in the northwest. The trees are not as large as they are in the Northwest. After transporting the chemicals that treat the wood different chemicals are used in the northwest because of how dense the wood is in that region. If you have seen the pressure treated wood in that region it has little slits to let the chemicals penetrate the wood we don’t need to do that because the southern yellow pine is like a sponge.
Great video like always! When you’re crossing all those time zones, just think of yourselves as time travelers. 🤣 With the added benny of that big windshield and a cushy Western Star seat, you guys got it made! Enjoy the ride! Be safe! (and enjoy that 🌞)❤️~W
Hi Jim and Kelly, i really enjoy your videos. As i get closer to retirement watching them gives me plenty of ideas of where i want to spend my winters. Next winter my plans are to start out in Quartzsite and then maybe lake Havasu. I was there a couple winters ago to check it out and loved the area. I was an over the road trucker for over 20yrs and seen alot of country but Arizona was my favorite then south texas. 1 more winter here in Minnesota and then next Dec its southwest bound. I hope i can meet you somewhere. In the mean time safe travels!
Really enjoying your videos - getting a little jealous of your nice weather. Arctic air just starting to arrive here; lows of -25F. Ugh! Safe travels, and God bless.
Another great video. We will be arriving in Quartzite mid week for our first time. We have a 45' toy hauler that we pull with our class 6 Sportchasis. Where is the area that many HDT rigs park together?
We purchased them at a furniture store in Missoula, but they are available at many stores across the country: www.stressless.com/gu-in/stressless-recliners/stressless-chelsea-stressless-mayfair-stressless-kensington/mayfair-signature

We've been using Synology equipment for about 8 years and are very happy with it. We lost some photos a number of years ago and swore it would never happen again!
Let’s of Canadian snowbirds go to Florida.
Lots and lots of them! We have a bunch that we've met on the road that visit Arizona as well.
That’s the way a southerner feels about cactus plants and desert!
LOL...oh we get it Carol! We enjoyed our time in the SE. Such beautiful country.
