I do wonder if the occasional misfocus is down to it being a Sandy movie. You can kinda tell from her uneven shifts in the show that Sandy's a hard character to do. She's the least flawed and silly character by miles, her main shtick is being aggressively overcompetent even. It works as a secondary role like a straight man, but in the main role it leaves her struggling to hold everything together by her personality, all the wacky chaos around her is driving everything, a likely reason they felt they still needed Spongebob around her the whole movie, technically taking away from the point of it being a spin off, or why everyone else is full on cuckoo bananas rather than that mix of silly characters and 'comically serious' characters giving it more weight. They're having to pick up Sandy's slack.

I had a hard time liking the movie because of; the cheap animation, the boring humans, Spongeobob smelling POOP and always laughing (He's annoying instead of funny, brave and kind.) Sandy's family not being developped, the music is not memorable, the Snakes were ugly, the villain was not intimidating. The pacing is fine but to me, it's not enough to make a good movie. If you like it, cool! I'm not sure i will rewatch it again 😐
I've seen a lot of bad videos in my days. And i can tell you this one is the worst. I've got friends. Great, intelligent friends. And they all think this is the worst video they've ever seen.
