Came to hear an amp demo, but enjoyed your playing so much more! That first Beatles tune you did was awesome, lots of right hand movement and hybrid picking.....sounded great!
I have one of these that needs a slight repair and this inspired me to do that rather than consigning it to the junk heap. Excellent song choice and playing, too!
Got a USA made one today. My 2nd. This one is a LO meaning made in Lake Oswego. Came for an amp demo. Stayed cause of your tasty playing. You sir rock...👤✌
nice. up until yesterday, I thought I had fallen in love with a fender deluxe reverb. it's a great tube amp! but by the time I purchase it and then a pedal to get the distortion I like, I realize it's going to start costing over a $1000. so I come here, looking for comparisons to the deluxe reverb vs my Princeton chorus (black knob) that I've owned for 16 years and say...... I think i'll keep what I have and buy another guitar soon! great demo, bunky
I was supposed to learn about the amp because I was going to get one. Ended up completely ignoring the amp and focusing on your playing. Great guitar playing sir…
Thanks for the demo. I have had one I picked up used in the late 90's. Shelved it for years and have recently rediscover it as I picked up an American made Tele. Absolutely love it. Looking at a tonemaster next and passing this to my son.
I bought 4 new red knob PC's when l had my guitar teaching studio. We used those amps because they will do almost any tone and any genre of music. The first input is set-up for an acoustic but works great with electrics. Back in the 80s and 90s everyone wanted to play either grunge or hair metal and that amp will do it in spades. One trick w/ the amp is you can turn the chorus rate on zero and depth on 10 and get a great spatial effect. i still have two red knobbers left , both have eminence speaker upgrades and have been slightly modded to take some of the gain out. When l was gigging l would occasionally use them both together for a huge sound. I have 25+ other amps including a Two Rock, JMP Marshalls, Fender bf twin and Princeton and a Bogner Shiva stack but still play the little fenders around the house and for the occasional lessons. Try a red knob one sometime. Theyre a little more beefier in tone and distort better IMHO.
Thanks for the info, just picked one up- did you experiment w dif speakers ?...I know those fenders specials get a lil hate, got v30s in my marshall cab- but I want the PC to sound like a fender, not a marshall lol
Hey Bunkymark, nice amp demo. Great playing amigo! You put a smile on on our faces with Bus Stop for sure! Be well, stay safe, better days are coming! Dave in the Adirondacks
I got my red knob back in the 80's or so used. Love it. Goes well with my Ovation Stereo Preacher. Yep, no reason to get rid of it at all. I just wish I could play like this guy. LOL.
Thanks. They had 2 '63 Strats in Daphne Blue, one was used on Nowhere Man. One later became George's Magical Mystery Tour guitar. Mine is a '62, and it is painted Sonic Blue, it was originally a SB. It was stripped when I got it in '71.
Dude I only came here to check out the pr chorus demo after seeing one for sale. I am so impressed by your playing and song choice. I literally smiled from ear to ear. Really great
Scott, thank you. I can't tell you how shocked I am over the reception this vid has received. An odd quirk of something, certainly not from me or the amp. Hope you find a good deal.
Oh man "and your bird can sing" I enjoyed the riffs great skills and a very good looking guitar muy bonita I almost forget the amp bravo maestro!! congratulations
Thanks for the demo, great job man! I have one and occasionally think about getting another amp, then I see something like this and realize it's my playing that needs to improve, not the amp. Folks bitch about the distortion channel but to me it's very organic and doesn't drop the low end; nice harmonics, sustain, compression.
I have one of these and play it more than my 80s Mesa 50 Caliber+ 6L6 version. The Fender's cleans are better and it definitely takes my pedals very very well. I play everything from gospel to Slipknot and it never leaves me wanting more. Ill keep the Mesa though, the dirty channel (through the eq) is like no other and needs no pedals. The Fender is my daily driver hands down! I have a Gibson LP Standard, a Gibson LP Gem Series, and a Fender Boxer Strat. Im set for life.
I stumbled onto this demo. I owned one when they first came out and I've never had a chorus that sounded like these. Rich and beautiful. Ended up trading it for a Hot Rod Deluxe. Reasons? I guess I figured out I'm a tube amp guy. More warmth to the tone. One thing about these (that I was told) The control/input panels is a printed circuit. You need to be very careful not to stress the inputs or you can damage the panel. I always ran my cord around the handle a couple times so, if I pulled the cord, it would pull on the handle not the panel.
Awesome!! Like the others, came for a review, was treated to some beautiful playing! Great chord melody playing on “And Your Bird...” and “Bus Stop” especially!
Your playing is awesome. Also i tuned in to see demo of Amp. Its Feb 2022. G center has a used one for 100. Needs grill cloth. I think the Chorus eff was the main feature. I like spring reverbs too. I am not sure if the multi action foot switch was included?
Thank you. If it doesn't have the footswitch I wouldn't sweat it. It connects with a 1/4" stereo cord and you can get a Digitech FS3X 3 button switch or something similar and it should hook up fine. Good luck.
I’m an older beginner and watching your video made me hunt this amp out. Found one today and the guy was selling for $200, which I wasn’t gonna pay. He started playing for me and the input jack stopped working so we went back and forth, I offered $50, and he offered $100. He finally said look take it for $50 as I’m trying to clean out the house. The only issue is it has some cracking and popping when I turn the knobs. Suggestions from anyone? Thanks in advance. I did get it playing some.
It's my take on And Your Bird Can Sing off of Revolver by the Beatles. The original version is double-tracked by George but I combined the two parts for one guitarist to play.
This one did require a repair where the circuit board attaches to the pots mounted to the chassis. There were a couple cold solder joints. You might poke around and see to isolate it. It was an easy fix but it was hard to get to. Don't do anything you are uncomfortable doing. Find a tech.
Thanks, it is a for real '62 Strat I've owned since 1971. It is a player, it has been refretted twice (once by Danny Gatton) and has been refinished several times now in Sonic Blue nitro lacquer and white undercoat. It was originally a sunburst but it had been stripped to natural when I got it when there was no such thing as vintage guitars only used guitars. It was a $200 guitar, no one cared, all kind of terrible things were done to them. It's all there except for the paint, some replaced pots, and it has been sanded down a bunch of times. I just realized I will have owned it for 50 years in October. I'm old.
I got one that's 120 Watt 60Hz it's a PR 82 the model is princeton chorus and I don't know how much it costs it works and sounds beautiful can anyone help out
Came to hear an amp demo, but enjoyed your playing so much more! That first Beatles tune you did was awesome, lots of right hand movement and hybrid picking.....sounded great!
Same here. Great playing man.
Me too my friend at last forget the amp
And your bird can sing! Not an east tune to do on one guitar. Bus Stop....love it. Nice playing.
Thanks. Somewhat of a Beatles obscurity, no one knows it, and it is always crickets when we play it. Fun tune though.
Honorable mention for "My Old School"!
Came for the amp. Stayed for the playing...Wow
I have one of these that needs a slight repair and this inspired me to do that rather than consigning it to the junk heap. Excellent song choice and playing, too!
Thanks, man. this one needed a repair, pretty much cold solder joints on the PC board. You could poke around with a chopstick and find it. Good luck.
As soon as you started playing the Beatles I flipped out! GREAT PLAYING, MAN!
I don’t see how it could be better, you make it sound like a million bucks! I’ll never let mine come to any harm.
Got a USA made one today. My 2nd. This one is a LO meaning made in Lake Oswego. Came for an amp demo. Stayed cause of your tasty playing. You sir rock...👤✌
"And Your Bird Can Sing", fantastic!
I own one of these amps also and after watching this, I should pay a little more attention to it.

I had one of these years ago. Great amp. Really nice playing. Beatles, The Hollies, Steeley Dan, and The Police! Great overview. Thanks.
Thanks Les, that is kind of you. It is astounding how little thought went into doing this.
Great amp, great playing. You really covered everything this amp can do.
Thanks for the demo. I have had one I picked up used in the late 90's. Shelved it for years and have recently rediscover it as I picked up an American made Tele. Absolutely love it. Looking at a tonemaster next and passing this to my son.

@@mwyatt222 Thank you-
I didn't know if I should watch it or dance to it... ended up dancing.. Great video.. sounds fabulous amazing playing
great playing...love the 'and your bird can sing'.
Really good demo, just found a tan one totally refurbished for 200,looking for a good clean fender tone, all I have is Marshall and Line 6.
A buddy gave me a red knob one of these, I, like all amps I get patched it into my marshall 412 it sounds great !!
Great playing sir !!!!!
Very skillful and pleasing performance of "And Your Bird Can Sing"... and I nice demo of this great little amp!
Hey Bunkymark, nice amp demo. Great playing amigo! You put a smile on on our faces with Bus Stop for sure! Be well, stay safe, better days are coming!
Dave in the Adirondacks
Thanks David, you are very kind. I dig the Adirondacks.
And your bird can sing! wow, you blew me away with that
This is the best demo of the PC on the Web.
Awesome review!! Great playing too! There is guy locally that has one for sale for $200 seems like it’s worth it!
Great demo, your playing is fantastic! I own the red knob version of this and won't get rid of it.
I got my red knob back in the 80's or so used. Love it. Goes well with my Ovation Stereo Preacher. Yep, no reason to get rid of it at all. I just wish I could play like this guy. LOL.
Hey thanks. These amps are underappreciated. Keep 'em running.
Your playing was the selling point haha very bright and punchy
Lovely demo, loving the Beatles opening tune, especially with the blue Fender strat which John and George had back in the day.
Thanks. They had 2 '63 Strats in Daphne Blue, one was used on Nowhere Man. One later became George's Magical Mystery Tour guitar. Mine is a '62, and it is painted Sonic Blue, it was originally a SB. It was stripped when I got it in '71.
Great playing man!! I am pleasantly surprised

nice vintage amp and nice playing. Really enjoy the video:))

Thanks, it is a versatile amp IMO. It takes some noodling to dial it in, but for the price, c'mon. Hang on to yours.
That's cause folks dobt know how to dial in distortion
Got mine for 200$ Oz 20 years ago the chorus is amazing the distortion is trash but doesn't matter coz it takes pedals great
one of my fav beatles guitar parts
I have one of these and play it more than my 80s Mesa 50 Caliber+ 6L6 version. The Fender's cleans are better and it definitely takes my pedals very very well. Dang I love you man you are my spirit animal. That Cant see me was sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awesome arrangement and great playing!
Make that arrangementS! Wow!
Your playing is fabulous, sir thank you
Thank you, that is kind of you, all these years later.
3:02, song fantastic !!! Very good !!! Perfect
Love the Hollies track with the chorus
The best solid state amo ever
I stumbled onto this demo. I owned one when they first came out and I've never had a chorus that sounded like these. Rich and beautiful. Ended up trading it for a Hot Rod Deluxe. Reasons? "And Your Bird Can Sing" by The Beatles
"Bus Stop" the Hollies
Awesome!! Like the others, came for a review, was treated to some beautiful playing! Great chord melody playing on “And Your Bird...” and “Bus Stop” especially!
I figured out “bird can sing” before. Good clean fun. Sounds great
NICE JOB! YOUR HIRED! Loved your bird and bus stop, keep playing,
And thank you!
Those are really good dirt tones on this amp. This amp is worth it for the cleans and chorus alone. But I can’t get a good dirt tone out of it
Nice licks dude!
Lovely playing
Great playing brother!
Good demo! Nice playing!
I enjoy your playing very much
Thanks. I've gotten a number of likes and comments. I must have touched a nerve. Who knew?
Great choice of tunes
Tasty; your neighbors are lucky .
great demo
Great Playing!
That was great brother.
Awesome playing!!
Thanks!
That's real good man~
Cool stuff
Nice playing!
nice playing sir!!
It's funny I can dial nasty overdrive channel tones for metal and sweet tones for classic stuff
Nice playing.
dang son you play some guitar... that's very nice
I appreciate it, thank you.
That's one of the few Beatles songs I like, and you did a great job. Thanks! The amp is just OK. :-D
I just got this lol for $143 I wanted it for the clean tone. Fender clean Tone without paying big buks.
I have the dsp version and is much better if you can find one. Covers quite a bit. Not a heavy metal amp but can be decent on the gain
Your playing is awesome. Also i tuned in to see demo of Amp. Its Feb 2022. G center has a used one for 100. Needs grill cloth. I think the Chorus eff was the main feature. I like spring reverbs too. I am not sure if the multi action foot switch was included?

That amp "can sing!"
Hah! Thanks, not as well as Marianne Faithfull.
Andy Summers in the flesh
A lot of flesh. Thanks. I met him once.

rvlewis1 pot cleaner
Corby Kissler took it to a shop already and paid $50 to clean knobs and guy did some minor soldering. Sounds great!
rvlewis1 sweet / that’s what I says to do to mine - sold it later - wish I Hadn’t - it sounded amazing
wich song are you playing at 1:35?
It's my take on And Your Bird Can Sing off of Revolver by the Beatles. The original version is double-tracked by George but I combined the two parts for one guitarist to play.
I'm having some electrical issue with mine, cuts in and out.

Hey I forgot to ask what model stratocaster is that, an American made one?
Yes, I've owned it for 51 years. It is a '62.
Can you get rid of the hum?
Not with an old strat I can't. If I face mecca sometimes it will go away.
Does it come with a headphone jack port.
Yes.
WOW, I`m so in love with the tone, the guitar color and all the video. Which model is your strat? Thank you for the video
Thanks, it is a for real '62 Strat I've owned since 1971. It is a player, it has been refretted twice (once by Danny Gatton) and has been refinished several times now in Sonic Blue nitro lacquer and white undercoat. I had one of these and hated it. The 2 tens could never give me the right mid range from my les Paul.
Which is the difference between this and the dsp version?
I don't know other than it does not have the DSP features. This is from the 90s.
Is the amp worth getting can you plug it in the PA
I believe so, you could patch it from the headphone out or the effects loop send. Or mic it.
👍👍🎵🎸🎵🎶👍👍
Where are you located and do you still have the amp?? Price?? Nice playing man...enjoyed the demo!
I'm in DC, but sorry, I expect this is sold, it is out on inspection to a friend of mine. Thanks for checking it out, they're out there.
I got one that's 120 Watt 60Hz it's a PR 82 the model is princeton chorus and I don't know how much it costs it works and sounds beautiful can anyone help out
I think it is a vintage:june 1957 or retro: June 1996 it has the letters GF on the quality assurance
It should be after 1973 because it's tailless
According to Wiki the black knob versions were in production from 1991 - 2001.
Yikes...thats bright!
Not impressed with the amp ,,,,, many others out there that do a better job . Effects are very poor
To each their own. For a $100 - $150, you could do a lot worse. The new owner likes it.
What are these "many others" within $100-$150 range?🤔
