Cluck Cluck🐓& A Cock a doodle doo to ya! LOVE that red wood grain fabric April!❤ The framing totally changed the whole look of the panel! Great Video!!!
Love that you kept the pictures intact and used the red wood grain for the frames around the pictures. Also, glad to see Oscar on the job as the project manager! Good job!
You are too funny with your chicken sound track in the background 😂. Love watching you figure it all out. A border would look very nice. Turned out lovely. Your little helper is adorable!
Love your channel. I like how you show everything along the way, all the changes and ideas not just the finished quilt. Oliver is just like my cat Fig. He wants to “help” as well. I love panels and this gave me great ideas on how to deal with different shapes. Thanks ❤ Lovely job 😊
I love how yours came out. I have to laugh every time you have Oliver "helping" cause I have a helper that does the same thing. His name is Willie. Thanks for your video and look forward to your next one.
Loved this tutorial. 🥰🐓🐣🐔Adorable Panel and Coordinating Fabrics. Thank you for your inspiration with your quilt ideas and also your comic relief. Going to go check out Di's video and the other 2 ladies as well!!!
Love the chicken wire. Fun to watch and Enjoy Oliver as Well. He is a Quilting showcat that could have his own Show. I have a Dick an Jane panel that I’m Going to work on. I have a collection of the books from the 1950’s. Thank you for a fun instructional video
I have seen Di's quilt. It was cute, but I’m not a fan of cutting up the panel like that but I did love the pattern. Your quilt I think is cute but I don’t love the two different added Fabrics. I think just one of them would’ve been really cute with the chicken wire fabric. I do hope you have enough to put a skinny border. You have an amazing talent.
I really like the extra fabrics that you included. I think you have enough yelliw fabric to put side borders on, which might balance the width with yhe length of the quilt. and with all the horizontal sashing on the same fabric in the quilt, you might not need top and bottom borders to finish it offm idk, just a thought. Great project!
Hi, Love this quilt! I would never have thought of snowballing, it’s a stroke of genius😍 I am happy that you changed the rows in the end, as it seems more balanced. But me being me, it still drives me nuts that you have two roosters/chickens next to each other in the top row instead of having the tree in between them 🤪 What pens do you use btw?
I watched all the panel videos. They are all great! I have hens and a rooster. They are so fun to watch. I enjoyed your chicken sounds throughout the video.
im really happy that you put the 3 frames on the top and moved the 2 down to the bottom. i agree that the chicken wire all around as a border is a great idea. i love your red wood grain framing each picture. thanks for sharing.......will go look at the others as well.....
When Di announced a panel challenge, I just knew you would be a participant. Great job. I do think an outside border of something would finish this delightful quilt. ❤
What a difference framing the pictures makes the quilt. Nice! Oliver reminds me of my cat gray and white cat name Oliver too. He’s always jumping up when I’m sewing to see what I’m doing and walking all over whatever fabric I have laying on my cutting table.
Hi April. I love your panel videos, so creative and bold. You had a lot of feline help for this one, could it be they were hungry for some chicken? LOL! Oliver thought you needed a hand wash too. Please stay safe and be well. ~~ Lynne
I'm not a big fan of panels but I do believe you changed my mind! I love what you did with yours. Oh, and thanks to Oliver, and all other sewing cats around the world. The struggle is real with my calico kitty sewing. 😊
I have watched all four of you ladies take the same panel and make 4 awesomely different quilts and I love each one of them. I have been a fan of yours for a long time, I always watch on TV so have never commented before. I am a big fan though...Blessings, Andrea
Di sent me her chicken wire fabric and I am going to use it was the border. I will be sharing that. I do try to limit Oliver time and put most of his antics in the bloopers. Thank you for tolerating him. He can be a nuisance. 😉
Yes, add a border. Also suggest you put the yellow fabric as a skinny sashing on the 2 sides. Just saying......... BTW, love the chicken panel and how you used it!!!!❤
Love what you did with the panel❤ and what would a sewing room be without kitties 🐈😺
You’re very creative. I would’ve never thought to lay out the panels that say. I like it! ❤
Thank you.
Cluck Cluck🐓& A Cock a doodle doo to ya! LOVE that red wood grain fabric April!❤ The framing totally changed the whole look of the panel! Great Video!!!
Thank you Tracy. 😀😘
I love your little helper!
Me too. 🐈
I like the way you snowballed the corners on the rounded frames. Good job April.
Thanks. I was pretty
Proud of myself for thinking of that. LOL
Maybe you could audition the blue woodgrain or check your stash for a similar yellow for the outer border🤔!
I don't know what I get more of a kick out of - your fun way of creating and teaching - OR - your cat's antics! Great job on the challenge
Thank you. Oliver is such a ham. LOL
it is amazing that 4 ladies used the same panel and came up with 4 totally different but beautiful quilts... job well done by you all❤
Thank you. Isn’t it great? It just goes to show there are always a million ways to do anything!
Love that you kept the pictures intact and used the red wood grain for the frames around the pictures. Also, glad to see Oscar on the job as the project manager! Good job!
He is large and in charge LOL
You are too funny with your chicken sound track in the background 😂.
Love watching you figure it all out. A border would look very nice. Turned out lovely.
Your little helper is adorable!
Thank you. It is my new technique. Piece as you go! 😀
I love it! Who doesn’t love Chickens! Great Job.
You didn’t leave a secret word…….😢
Yes, what is the secret word!❤
I agree with others, I love that red barnwood grain fabric. It is stunning and exactly what was needed to make this chicken project pop!
You just named the quilt. Chicken Pop!
@@aprilscraftroom How fun! Thanks! It really is very beautiful! I appreciate the honor of naming the quilt!
Love your channel. I like how you show everything along the way, all the changes and ideas not just the finished quilt. Oliver is just like my cat Fig. He wants to “help” as well. I love panels and this gave me great ideas on how to deal with different shapes. Thanks ❤ Lovely job 😊
Hi April, I like how the red wood grain material really made the blocks pop. Great job. Thanks for sharing
Thank you. Wood grain and rainbow 🌈 fabrics are my faves.
So cute!!! That hen cackling and rooster growing made me miss my hens. Thanks for sharing!!
Hi April, cool quilt. Oliver is so adorable. He had me laughing.😂❤
I love how yours came out. I have to laugh every time you have Oliver "helping" cause I have a helper that does the same thing. His name is Willie. Thanks for your video and look forward to your next one.
Thank you April. Willie is adorable I am sure. They are so funny. 😂
Definitely needs the outside border to bring it all together. Gotta love Oliver. He certainly is the best little assistant 😊
I agree on both. Thanks for watching.
Yes definitely needs a border. Sew cute
I will be adding one. Thank you for letting me know your thoughts.
Yes, a border of the chicken wire or similar color as the wire around the outside would look good!
It looks very nice.
Very farm folksy, great for farm girls
I liked the use of snowballed corners
Love the way you create and there is always something to learn from you.
Awww. Thank you.
I have been watching you for years. I love how skilled you have gotten at editing. Your style and thought processed are fun and relaxing. Thank you!!!
Thank you Polly. :-). That editing stuff can be hard!
Did not hear your secret word. How could I have missed it?
Me too and I watched this twice and Dy’s twice…

I love the 'wood grain' fabric! You've done a great job with this panel. I'll have to look for that grained fabric to use on my panel.

I watched all the panel videos. They are all great! I have hens and a rooster. They are so fun to watch. I enjoyed your chicken sounds throughout the video.
I love yours, you saved the integrity of the panels.
Love the additional fabric that you added to what you were given for you end result. Very nice!

Lovely quilt. Adore Oliver!! He is so affectionate. ❤
So cute ! Love the cat’s special appearances ❤😻
Love chickens and your accompanying noises was hilarious ❤😂
I was cracking myself up when I added them.
I enjoyed seeing you “piece as you go”! It’s nice not to have to follow a pattern every time.
Beautiful. I’m not a chicken fan but I really like that quilt!!❤❤

Would like the chicken boarder as well ❤ your videos!
great Quit April, Thank you for sharing with us x
where did you get that multi colored wood grain fabric??
When Di announced a panel challenge, I just knew you would be a participant. Great job. I do think an outside border of something would finish this delightful quilt. ❤
LOL. You know I love my panels. I will be adding a border. Everyone has said it needs one.

Cute quilt! Love the chickens cackling in the background, so much fun 😄
Thank you! 😊
I love it . I would love to have the pattern. Where can I get one.

I love chickens and would love to have one.
Oliver is adorable!! love the red woodgrain around each item. I think the wire border would look nice. nice job!
Than you. Di said she is sending me her chicken wire fabric for the border.
I definitely think it needs a nice border.
April you dld a wonderful job
Did you forget the secret word??
April, you've done an awesome turnout with this quilt panel challenge. I love it! 🧵💚
Thank you. 😀
I'm so glad you kept the pictures in tact....they are really cute and whimsical. I love that wood grain fabric that borders them.
I liked the pictures - they are so retro and wood grain is my jam! ;-)
What a difference framing the pictures makes the quilt. Nice! Oliver reminds me of my cat gray and white cat name Oliver too. He’s always jumping up when I’m sewing to see what I’m doing and walking all over whatever fabric I have laying on my cutting table.
It must be an Oliver thing. LOL
Lovely quilt April but I do think it needs a border. Love your sewing buddy Oliver. Desley🇦🇺
Thank you. I agree. A border will be added.
Hi April. I love your panel videos, so creative and bold. You had a lot of feline help for this one, could it be they were hungry for some chicken? LOL! Oliver thought you needed a hand wash too. Please stay safe and be well. ~~ Lynne
Ha ha. I didn’t think about that. Oliver does love chicken! 🐓
I love what you did with the panel. Yes, I think a border would just finish it off. Thanks for sharing. Love your kitties, they are so much help!!
Thank you. Oliver is such a ham! LOL
I'm not a big fan of panels but I do believe you changed my mind! I love what you did with yours. Oh, and thanks to Oliver, and all other sewing cats around the world. The struggle is real with my calico kitty sewing. 😊
Yay. I love to add another sewing to the panel lovers group. Panels are misunderstood. And I know what you mean about the kitty struggle.
Enjoyed your version and creativity. The panel is super cute! Love your furry helpers.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love how it came together. Beautiful! Love your furry assistant.
Thank you. Me too 😉
That turned out great! Love the cat 🥰

Thank you Andrea. I appreciate you watching and commenting. 😀
I absolutely love your use of the panel! I always get inspiration from your creativity!
Thank you so much!
Love the quilt. Have never used a panel; this has given me a lot of good inspiration. Didn't hear the secret word...Is there one?
Winner
Oliver sure likes to help. 😍
If you really want some more of that chicken wire fabric Di didn’t use hers so . . . .By the way, what was your secret word?
winner - and Di is sending it to me. LOL. Di's secret word is winner as well.
isnt cat love grand!
I’m not a cat lover. Cat is in the way!! I do enjoy your tutorials! I would like to see yellow border around the quilt.
Di sent me her chicken wire fabric and I am going to use it was the border. I will be sharing that. I do try to limit Oliver time and put most of his antics in the bloopers. Thank you for tolerating him. He can be a nuisance. 😉
Fun challenge--yours was my favorite. 🙂
Oh. Thank you. You are very sweet.
You have a sew a lot done. Very unique quilt. Like how you did the corners. Thanks for q
You're welcome. :-)
Just got done watching Chick's video. This is cool seeing what each creator makes. ❤ your quilt!
I love how we all did something different. 🥹
You need a border all the way around. It will finish it off. But I love it. Thanks April
Sew adorable, love it.
April, I agree with Tracy the wood grain fabric was a perfect choice. Great quilt
Thank you. 😊
Can't stand the sound of the chickens. I've got chickens so hear them enough. lol
So sorry. I thought it was funny myself.
I love your channel ❤❤
I really like the wood grain fabric & the snowballed corners!
Thank you. I kind of surprised myself that I thought of doing that. LOL
I put bird videos on the TV for the cats. So they leave me alone while I sew. 😅😅
Nice!
Never mind - I think I saw it but not sure if that's the clue, but it's what I'm going to use.
winner is the secret word for both mine and Di's channel. :-)
I think maybe you should put the blue wood fabric as a border.
I think you are right! :-)
Glad you swapped the top and bottom rows. Much better.
I think so too. :-)
Very cute! What about using the red wood grain for the border?
That is a great idea but I used all I had for the frames. Maybe the multi colored wood grain would be good. What do you think?
I'm not that confident that I could figure it out. I do have a few panels tho
Don’t doubt yourself. It is fabric and if you make a mistake you can rip it out and do it again. LOL
You definitely need a border. Hope you have enough.
Thank you. If I don’t have enough chicken wire I think I am going to try the other wood grain I liked with it.
Yes, add a border. Also suggest you put the yellow fabric as a skinny sashing on the 2 sides. Just saying......... BTW, love the chicken panel and how you used it!!!!❤
Love the wood grain you incorporated. Looks good!
Thank you 😀
Wow it’s really neat
Very cute. I love the fact that you kept the panel elements whole.
Thank you.
Love your quilt! I was screaming to my screen "please put the row with the 3 panels above". Glad you "listened". LOL
Thank you for sharing!
I am glad I heard you. That row on top would have haunted me. 😉
@@aprilscraftroom 🤣
so hppy to have found your channel. What a fun challenge
I'm happy you found me too. :-)
