Pepper Sauce

  • Today's recipe was inspired by some peppers I had sitting in the fridge. Houston is on lockdown right now, and I really don't want to venture out to the grocery stores too often. To preserve the flavor and potency of these peppers and chillies, Kevin suggested that I make a pepper sauce. I also added a few more immune-boosting ingredients to the mix!
Hope you are staying safe and healthy! Sending love and positivity your way ❤🙏🏽
    Recipe:
-25 red & orange habanero peppers
-15 serrano chillies (use pimento peppers as a substitute)
-1 inch piece of turmeric (A little goes a long way. Turmeric is a blood thinner, so don't overuse it).
The recommended dosage is 500 mg to 2000 mg per day.
-2 tablespoons of ginger or 2 inches
    -Juice of a lemon
    -1 1/2 heads of garlic
-5-8 bandhania (chadon beni, culantro, recao, ngo gai) leaves
-1 1/4 cups of white distilled vinegar
    -2 teaspoons of salt
-Black pepper (optional) : The piperine in black pepper helps the curcumin in turmeric to be more effectively absorbed by the body. More health benefits!

I love that you included health benefits. You’re like a trini Martha Stewart. Thank you for sharing. Never thought of adding turmeric but it’s great for your health and for color. Also you’re a real indo Caribbean girl for not wearing gloves when cutting the peppa! Love that!!! Have a blessed day, gyal!

Wow that's a veritable cocktail of immune-boosting freshness, goodness and deliciousness. That is a heroic amount of peppers. Plenty hot and spicy which I also love. Much love! 😋👍🌟 Saved and shared.

please tell me the process of seasoning an iron pot

    • @TasteofTrini
      @TasteofTrini  4 роки тому +1

Wash & dry the pot. Then brush some oil inside, and bake it for about an hour at 400F. Place it upside down in the oven and put a tray underneath to collect any oil that drips.
