Hey jt. I put a 12 turn brushed motor and a 19tooth pinion in my nephew in law's voltage, ran it on a soccer field and the esc caught on fire!! Guess we're going brushless..lol
Hey Bro Thanks for all your videos, appreciate it! I'm starting to get back into the hobby back from the days of the original Tamiya Monster Beetle, Blackfoot and Clodbuster days. I purchased the Granite Voltage after watching your videos. Out of the box for 100 bucks is awesome! Now I'm looking for more speed, however I want to keep my spending down to a minimum. I've seen some videos on UA-cam where people drop in a 15T or 13T while keeping the stock gearing and electronics. Would like to know your thoughts on that. Thanks again! Subscribed
The electronics that come with the Voltage are junk IMO. One run and reverse was gone and it drained one of the li-on batteries to 0.77 volts. Truck is dead in the water.
do you think that the stock esc will last with a 15T motor.? also if not and I Got the esc you are using would it still be able to use the stock 18560 cells.?

Yeah I found out lol I had a Cheap brushed goolrc esc and 2 of their motors 13t and 17t Modified motors cheep up grade was like the old days of rc lol brushes wore out fast. now I Just got a Cheap sensor less Brushless system.. and finally they got the Out drives back in stock :)
I put a small strap around the battery so u can pull it out 😊 , Vegas Paul here.

I put a zip tie on my batteries allows you to pull it out 😊

Hobby wing max 10 combo 25 t pinion alternative USA racing servo 22 bucks dumbo rc controller and receiver keep a stock of drive cups they strip easy

I think stock is a 20t brushed motor. try a 15t one

Put a ribbon so you don't have to use a flat screwdriver just put the ribbon around the battery

What pinion should I use on the 15t 540 motor or keep it stock?
I have a problem with my stock setup my wheels will turn but i can't go forward and backwards. Plz help
I just put 3S battery 11.1 and it won't run I put it on the lipo setting and the light just turns blue? need help
Are you still using the included remote? Or did you need a new rx/tx. If all you did was change motor/esc + lipo I'm beyond interested!

I am worried about going brushless on my Granite 4x4. I have seen too many complaints about the gearbox shredding.
2011 SHO Kona mine has been fun and fine on 2s. I would not do 3s although I run 3s here and there and it has been fine
