Thanks for sharing Steven! I didn't know you could install those "power flush" toilets in a residential home. I only saw them at our outside commercial properties. Might work for me in the future going through 12 rolls of toilet paper a week between the wife and kids!
Brad1237202 there very noisy for a house .i have installed them in problem areas .but i am not a big fan of them . i will take a regular toilet in my house any day.
The best part of the gerber viper is that you can dry lock the tank, but you don't use the extra nuts. Why? I get calls every couple of weeks from customers, cuz the tank bolts are loose and leaking. I could see not using them if they were brass for future reasons.
Jason i never use the nuts under the tank because if you ever have to cut the tank bolts off its a lot more work ,,there not needed just tighen up the tank bolts properly and you will not have leaks ...... and believe me i cut tank bolts off all the time . who ever installes back up nuts on tanks never repairs toilets ....... i have no problem with the plastic nuts i install tons of these toilets i never have a call back for leaks ??? you must be doing something wrong.
I cut tank bolts all the time and its is a pain when they are brass nuts. The plastic however are a joke to take off or cut off. I never get calls back from water closets leaking that I install thats why I only install gerber vipers. I like the vipers cuz I never get callbacks and customers seem happy.
Most of the time those low flush jobs need flushed two or three times depending on the load it receives. Thus, more water is used with new toilets vs. old ones.
nate the supply house i deal with sells gerber toilets .i also like mansfield there a bit cheaper the amenican standard and flush well both of them ....american standard and more money .i tend to go with a good flushing toilet thats resonable priced why pay more ??
Steve, Have you ever put in a Gerber Avalanche? Any different (better/worse/same) from a Viper? The specs look almost the same, so I figure I'd ask you since you would see it from a install/serviceability point of view.
+Dwight Bennett all the gerber toilet seem to flush well . buy what people can afford ,is my advice .viper is good and the cheaper one also them are the 2 i install most
hllywd964 is that from the wall or base board??????it will be tight , tank will be slammed against the wall . .it might go with a 12 its a shot i would probley take . 12 " rouf is from the studs .. so 1/2 sheetrock brings you to 11 1/2 .. you might have to pull the toilet to the from of the flange . i would bolt the toilet all together before,,,, fastening down to floor last
yes 12 inch rouf . from stud wall .thats what i was always tought . my self i like to go like 12 1/2 from stud wall to allow for sheet rock and some room behind tank .. but 12" rouf is from stud .
dklucas1 i get that question asked me from time to time from the young guys .... why do you wear gloves ,i can not figure it out why someone would wear gloves ..
My house used to have one of these shitters got rid of it girlfriend complained it made too much noise at night "you scare me every time you use the toilet really you do" that's what she used to say
I understand using gloves…I actually just replaced one of the wax rings on my toilet and wasn’t about to do it without them. Great video.

Gerber seems to be higher quality that the big name brands out there...K is one of them.

Great install Steve came out looking nice
Harry Dickson thanks for the comment harry
lol another all in 1 toilet. I'm surprised it wasn't stuck to floor like that green one
DAHARDEND6IX one piece toilet .this one was a power flush .. rear breed for sure
Nice replacement Steve , I hate one piece toilets with a passion.
justin henning i am not a fan of one piece toilets my self .. a 2 piece is so much easyer to work on/install ,remove est .. in so many ways
that was a clean installation there Steve. you prefr the gerbers over the american standard or just 6 one way half a dozen the other
nate the supply house i deal with sells gerber toilets .i also like mansfield there a bit cheaper the amenican standard and flush well both of them ....american standard and more money .i tend to go with a good flushing toilet thats resonable priced why pay more ??
yeah I agree with the economics,, they are both comparably priced here..
Nice work. Do you like the Gerbers? They seem to be high quality,
bg147 they flush well and will not break the bank ..
That was really interesting! I enjoyed it a lot!
i like ur hand pump at 3:41. it looks homemade but u said it was not.
***** i buy them from wolverine brass .they sell to plumbers for the most part .. its made to pump out toilets it works well ..

some of those power flush toilets have been known to explode! That will get your attention.
newanatolia would not be a pretty site . i am not a big fan of power flush toilets
Steve, if you have 11 inches to the center of the drain, would you just go with a 12" rough toilet?

Babaji Fahim thanks for watching
I noticed you use wax seals on all your jobs have you ever used products like Sani seal in stead?
George Harris sani seal is not for me .. a lot of times there is not much room under toilets and the saniseal will not let the toilet sit on floor
Thanks steven
Thanks for sharing this...
wink hvac thanks for the comment
I like your videos 🤗😁
US toilets output vertically, UK toilets output horizontally - how weird is that?
Actually, some toilets in the US output into the wall (with a pipe behind it, duh). They just are not generally used in residential settings
Great Video Steven
LOL why do we wear gloves,i don't understand that was funny
dklucas1 i get that question asked me from time to time from the young guys .... why do you wear gloves ,i can not figure it out why someone would wear gloves ..

Timothy Cote looks a bit dangerous besides not something i would do in someones house .
My house used to have one of these shitters got rid of it girlfriend complained it made too much noise at night "you scare me every time you use the toilet really you do" that's what she used to say
Sean Rebelo lol best to flush the girl friend down the power flush toilet lol

Is that a R22 or 410A toilet? It's got a damn scroll compressor in it...haahaa
Nicholas CeeA space age toilet
That blade couldn't cut hot manure
Give me a shit at flush testing. I can plug any shitter! Much better than that pos 1 piece.
Truckguy900 Truckguy900 i have never been a fan of one piece toilets when they break the parts are very pricey
good job steve the toilet you replaced is a over engineered piece of crap. I use to buy toilets at grossmans bargain outlet for 40.00 dollars.
lynda wilson i remember grossmans . good deals there
Love the viper
