Repurposed Pantry Makeover! Dark and moody vibes | REISSUED

- When my old plaster pantry walls crumbled, the new beadboard walls inspired a whole new look! This time, we repurposed my old kitchen cabinet wood to build new shelving and installed thrifted cabinets for a more functional layout. Dark, moody library vibes give the room a rich, classic feel. Check out the process!

I love your theme! You really show things as they were and as they can be given a reasonable budget. So often we see UA-camrs doing things with what seems like an unlimited budget. I can tell that you are working with an actual budget, maybe your budget is bigger than mine but I appreciate you showing us what it's like to work within a budget because that is what we are all doing.
Great job, and I enjoy watching projects where recycling is used with ingenuity, and not using a whole suite of high-end tools.
Your parents are terrific.
You can really enjoy your pantry because you know the quality of the construction, it's not just a paint job over icky conditions.
You have great parents! I think you must be a great son!
Kudos to good parents. Family first 🙂
Shout out to Habitat for Humanity Restores❤
Yes! I’ve gotten SO much stuff from them. Can’t beat it!
I love a bargain. 👍🏽
The habitat stores in the Tampa area are outrageously expensive, I have gone 3 or 4 times and I was the only customer, but didn't buy anything. Salvation Army, and St. Vincent DePaul are the 2 good ones.
Wow, hope you appreciate your parents, mine are gone. Not only did they give you tremendous skill sets, but they are there for you. Going dark was the best idea, besides, that is close to being my favorite color by far. Also like that you didn't completely remove the paint from the floor, and then just stained over that. You knew that a perfect floor would have looked weird in context.
Nice pantry! Keep up the good work.
Your mum and dad are just incredible! You're really lucky to have them.
Wow that house is just gorgeous and you have the best ideas!
Aw thanks Kelly!
Great color, love how it turned out.
I absolutely love your parents! This whole thing looks equal parts incredibly fun and immeasurably frustrating. Excited to see how it all comes together! 💙
I love them too! They are amazing! Yeah there were definitely some super frustrating moments haha. But with some problem solving, it was totally worth it! Thanks for watching!
I love how your parents are always helping you with home projects ❤️
To help paint stick, instead of sanding, you could have also used Liquid sander which would have also worked for the cabinets that you painted.

Color was scary at first but do love it … fantastic ideas and progress. Just moved from Seattle to a small town in WI fixing up a 1908 7 bedroom house in town.
Thanks so much! Yeah I think the color is stunning, but it was intimidating at first! And wow your project sounds amazing. Keep me posted on how that goes!
I freaking love that color u used for both the kitchen cabinets and pantry cabinets (storage) & walls. It looks awesome with the stained wood shelves and countertop. Nicely Done, Andrew, 😊.
Thank you so much! 🙌🏻
@@REISSUED, Ure welcome, 😊.
Andrew, saving old kitchen cabinets was just great. So much big box wood is expensive and full of chemicals 😮love the color you selected.
Absolutely. I went with some basic Home Depot cabinets for my kitchen (since i needed very specific sizes) and the prices were high, quality was fair, and I has such a hard time finding things in stock. I’m so happy I lucked out with these ones for the pantry and the living room 🙌🏻
My daughter in law is trashing her vintage oak cabinets for particle board tsk tsk, too embarrassed to walk into Restore in our area. Question did you take courses in tailoring and pattern making?
Beautiful!
So good!
That is one sexy pantry!
Nice
That's so nice! I wasn't sure, how that work will turn out, but it is really nice!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Absolutely stunning!! Definitely love that paint colour.
Thank you! I love it too!
Far out, this looks great! You always do such an awesome job!
Thanks Jo! Always appreciate you watching and leaving such kind words ❤️
❤
Great work there. x
Thanks!
Nice what you did to the pantry, but I would of used that space for the fridge.
love it
Looks great!
Thanks so much!
What paint/color did you use? I love it & I'm looking for this exact color to do my own. Thanks! Yours looks beautiful!
This may be an odd question to ask, but what brand drill is your dad using? It doesn't look familiar but I'm in the market for a new one and your dad looks like he knows what he's doing and would buy a good one. Thanks in advance. (P.S. I just discovered your channel and am loving it!)
So glad you found me! He has a Worx drill that has two heads that flip around so that he can bounce quickly between drilling and screwing. I have a Ryobi. We tend to use both together depending on the project!
Hey what is the color name please thanks
I pity Americans in appliances. In America they are so ugly. And way too big. They dominate the room . We have built in appliances behind doors...that match the unit doors... more co hesive as you Americans say. We also don't use cookers much but rather 2 built in ovens.. and hobs... and built in microwave but not above a hob... or cooker as yo call it... How unsafe is that
I agree about the size! Appliances with the matching doors are a big thing in custom kitchens here, but I’m not sure I love that look to be honest. It just depends on the style I guess. And yeah, I’m not a fan of the microwave over the cooktop that is so common here!
@@REISSUED Putting a microwave above the stove was a builder's idea, and proved to be a bad one. And not even vented? Most are removing them, and new builds stopped doing this.
The climate in Florida is very different than England. I will not turn my oven on for any reason most of the year. We cannot imagine putting filthy clothes in our kitchens either.
