Hahaha, great reaction. In 2012 the lead singer, Su-metal, was 14, the two younger girls, Yuimetal and Moametal, were 12. "Microphone check, 1 2 1 2. Are you ready to mosh?" They are Japanese (K-pop is Korean - a very different thing) - it is a fusion of J-pop style vocals with metal (and they will throw in other genres when you least expect it). This was just their second song and they really did mix it up in this one - and it is not 'Line', the song is called 'Iine' (that is a capital i at the start - so iine or IINE, take your pick) and is pronounced ee-neh ... is means something like "so good" or "really good" - just think thumbs up emoji. Yes they are still making music - 3rd album released last month and just finished a 20 date headlining tour of the US including their first US arena show at The Forum in LA. Sadly Yuimetal left the band a year ago following a 12 month absence from the stage because of an undisclosed health issue, so BABYMETAL is now the duo of Su-metal (now 21, will be 22 in December) and Moametal (now 20) supported in live shows by any one of 3 girls (known as 'Avengers') dancing in what would have been Yui's spot. For a very recent song I think you would enjoy 'PA PA YA'. Failing that find any (pro-shot - avoid compilation videos) live performance of any song - every song they do is different - what metal do you want thrash, speed, power, black, death, prog, folk - they do them all. Do you want some ska, reggae, rap, EDM, dub step or something else thrown in - they probably have it somewhere too.

Many people are saying that, but I don't agree. While this song may be an extreme example, I'd argue they weren't randomly throwing things at the wall, they knew very well what they were doing even back then. Fusing Pop and Metal and other genres is what they always did and still do. If you listen to the new album, you'll see that it's not that different now. If anything, I'd say it would be more correct to call the second album "Metal Resistance" the odd one for being a bit more Metal and less experimental (although even as I'm writing this I'm disagreeing with myself when I think of songs like "Awadama Fever" or "YAVA!").

Billy, in live performances, they go this hard for 12 - 14 songs without a break. They are flippin' Samurai! I saw them recently in DC, and the legend is still true!
I don’t know for sure but I think the taller girl was like 13 or 14 and smaller ones were around 12 maybe. Someone with more knowledge will give u a better answer. It’s def not my style but they’re addictive when you start watching more, especially their live performances.
The band is actually really freaking good. Guitarists unfortunately passed away a few years ago(I think)...drummer and bassists rock. I love that most of the crowd from the live Karate vid had no idea who BM were. By the end of the set of songs they’ll never forget them.
Yes, one of the guitarists, Mikio Fujioka, died (on Jan 5, 2018) from injuries caused by an accidental fall from a high outdoor astronomy observation platform (from which he was doing some stargazing) a week earlier. He was still just in his 30s and had a wife and children. It was, of course, a tragic loss for them, as well as the band and fans. Other band members quickly stepped up, setting up things to make sure his family would still be provided for. The Kami Band already had 3 other active guitarists (Leda Cygnus, Takayoshi Ohmura, and Isao Fujita, two of which play for BabyMetal at any given time, and there are now also American members of the Kami Band) who are still alive, so it hasn't been necessary to replace Mikio. He certainly will not be forgotten, but as they say, the show must go on (and I believe he would want it to go on). In fact, Ohmura wasn't just a bandmate and friend, he was also a student of Mikio, so that musical legacy lives on. :)
Subscribed just so you would do more babymetal reactions. Babymetel is a fusion of J-Pop and Metal called Kawaii Metal (cute metal). Their live versions of the songs are way better for most of them, so please check those out. Road of Residence Live in Japan or Rondo of Nightmare with the Mischief of Gods Intro are probably my favorite, but I have yet to find any of their songs that I really couldn't find something to like about.
you think they go hard in this song ? .... well ... you will see your self when you continue your journey in BABYMETAL Universe. oh boy ... you entering BABYMETAL Universe from the " iine " door ? you know what ... you have guts , this song not for everybody.
This is from their first album. If you want to see one song from EACH album, and reat to them, here are my suggestions for the "seminal" BABYMETAL song from each album- (the official music videos for each of these songs is on their YT channel) First album- Gimme Chocolate - this song is the one that launched them internationally in 2014. (VERY CLOSE SECOND- Road of Resistance, live in Japan. This one is a GREAT live performance, and really shows what a show in Japan is like) Second album- Karate- This was the lead song for that album, and to this day remains my favorite BABYMETAL song. Latest album- PaPaYa ft. F.Hero Or- do all four! also, If you are REALLY interested in BANYMETAL, I suggest "Metrock 2015". it's one of their best live performances to this day
Holy smokes I loved this reaction, I'm in stitches watching this lol. This is one of the best "wtf" videos from babymetal to start watching. He kept saying that they "go hard" but he hasn't seen anything yet!
Not line It's iine. Your reaction was interesting. I don't think I'll be disappointed to react to any of their songs. But, Japanese are furious when they are mistaken for Koreans.
And you think you are crazy? ^^ Interesting choice for your first reaction to BM :D . Hope you will watch more of them. I'm sure they will surprise you more then once. But be aware of the fox hole you just stumbled upon.
You picked a really crazy one to start with. Honestly, not my favorite Babymetal song. Try Catch Me if You Can Live from Budakon. Watch the live shows not the videos. The crowds at Babymetal shows are bananas.

Yeah, they're still rocking and on a world tour right now. Saw them last weekend on Nov 16. They pioneered the Kawaii Metal genre. It's three Years later, the Year 2023, Momoko Okazaki joined the Group and they are on a Worldtour again. The Album came in Spring and they went on Tour with Sabaton and Lordi. Now it's Fall and they are still touring this Time with Dethklok.
To answer your questions: Yes, they do still make music!! They just released their third album back on October 11th called Metal Galaxy. You ain't seen nothing yet!! My favorite songs are Megitsune, Line, GJ!, Distortion, BabyMetal Death, Headbanger, Oh! Majinai, Shanti Shanti Shanti, Pa Pa Ya and honestly just about every song by them I love! BabyMetal is j-pop metal fusion band that essentially created a subgenre of metal called Kawaii Metal. They aren't the first band to do this style of music, but they are the first band to be internationally successful and make kawaii metal more noticed around the world. They've toured/played shows with very well known artist and bands such as Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Judas Preist and so many more. I've seen them live twice and their live shows are absolutely INSANE!! I highly recommend you see them live too or at least react to their live shows on UA-cam!

Headbanger, Road To Resistance, Distortion, Gimmie Chocolate. Warning, Line was not their typical song. There is an emphasis on the Metal in BabyMetal.
Can’t remember the live version (I wanna day download) but they pulled a slipknot / Trivium and had everyone get down and then jump up in unison during bridge!
Oh they're still going today, and hugely popular internationally! Check out this live performance earlier this year of them doing a song called Pa Pa Ya!! in England (also, they are Japanese, whereas K-Pop is Korean) ua-cam.com/video/HaJUWRziDQc/v-deo.html
No one is ever ready for this song when first discovering Babymetal. Also Bill, YES. They are definitely still making music! They just released their 3rd album last month. They've been doing this for almost 10 years. You won't believe how popular they are around the world and amongst artists of various music genres.

Longtime fan of these young ladies and their amazing Kami Band and I cannot believe I had not seen your reaction before. Kudos to you on this because very few people would have watched this song/performance and “get it” as you did. I would never recommend this for a first timer reaction. Watching all of your reactions and have not seen any new BabyMetal reactions. Hope to see you again in the near future.
They just made number one on the Billboard Rock Album charts .. First Asian band to manage that. They went through a period when the were mixing genres more than they do now like with Onedari Daikusan..
They are still very wide ranges like the sea shanteys and rap etc.. Iine or operation begging or song for four had some pretty cool changes. Tales of the destinies.. Little moments. The writers and arrangers know what they are doing and the choreographers and everyone concerned. It is a great project.
Since you loved "Iine!" so much, you should do "Uki Uki Midnight" ... Some say Babymetal is Kawaii-Metal but yeah, a big mix of many things. I love them.

that was a great show
nick waraksa looked awesome
0okamino that sucks
gudluck for another reaction it will not make you disappointed . and i really pretty sure you will like it soon how the perform another song ..
Babymetal: give me chocolate
Please! Please do this!
Headbang and Karate too please!
Also try the sonisphere live version of Ijime, Dame, Zettai. That's an awesome song and performance.
watching people react to babymetal is the greatest thing on youtube right now
This is your best reaction yet! Please check out Gimme Chocolate, Karate and Pa Pa Ya by Babymetal
Thank you great reaction. Welcome to the Babymetal world.
And my all time fave. BabyMetal - Megitsune.
Billy's mind just went bye bye!
you think they go hard in this song ? .... well ... you will see your self when you continue your journey in BABYMETAL Universe.
oh boy ... you entering BABYMETAL Universe from the " iine " door ? you know what ... you have guts , this song not for everybody.
LmFAO :))
Baby metal- karate
XD OMG that was FUN! I gotta check out more of them!
This is from their first album.
If you want to see one song from EACH album, and reat to them, here are my suggestions for the "seminal" BABYMETAL song from each album-
(the official music videos for each of these songs is on their YT channel)
First album- Gimme Chocolate - this song is the one that launched them internationally in 2014.
(VERY CLOSE SECOND- Road of Resistance, live in Japan. This one is a GREAT live performance, and really shows what a show in Japan is like)
Second album- Karate- This was the lead song for that album, and to this day remains my favorite BABYMETAL song.
Latest album- PaPaYa ft. F.Hero
Or- do all four!
also, If you are REALLY interested in BANYMETAL, I suggest "Metrock 2015". it's one of their best live performances to this day
Holy smokes I loved this reaction, I'm in stitches watching this lol. This is one of the best "wtf" videos from babymetal to start watching. He kept saying that they "go hard" but he hasn't seen anything yet!
Yes they do still make music! Love this band lol they kill it
Not line It's iine.
Your reaction was interesting.
I don't think I'll be disappointed to react to any of their songs.
But,
Japanese are furious when they are mistaken for Koreans.
I think someone threw the weirdest Babymetal song at him just to see how he'd react to it haha
Yeah I did 😆
I wanna smack whoever suggested this first. I've been begging for BabyMetal for months, and I would have picked Iine LAST.
@@mariomariolemieux982 Honestly Ill take any song that isn't gimme chocolate
@@stonywings5888 At least Gimmie Chocolate sounds like BabyMetal. Iine is way off in left field. I like the song, I just would never pick it 1st, or 2nd, or even 5th...
Awesome reaction! Welcome to the fan club!
Welcome to the world of "WTAF" that is BABYMETAL. We have all learnt just to go ... no idea how or why but damn it works :)
They will unite all genres
of music. The ONE.
Please do Babymetal - Gimme Me Chocolate!! The videos only has 109+ million views.
Yeah, they're still rocking and on a world tour right now. Saw them last weekend on Nov 16. They pioneered the Kawaii Metal genre.
Some good ones:
BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)
BABYMETAL - MEGITSUNE (Live Budokan Black Night) 2014
BABYMETAL - Rondo Of Nightmare (With Mischiefs of God Intro) Live Budokan Black Night 2014
BABYMETAL DEATH Legend 1997 (Complete)
BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL)
It's three Years later, the Year 2023, Momoko Okazaki joined the Group and they are on a Worldtour again. The Album came in Spring and they went on Tour with Sabaton and Lordi. Now it's Fall and they are still touring this Time with Dethklok.
I think this song should be everyone’s first song by Babymetal they hear. Very diverse and gives you a taste of what’s to come next from them.
Give " Ijime Dame Zettai", "Megitsune" or "Headbanger" a go. And then for something slower "No Rain, No Rainbow"
As a new subscriber...long live the fox...i still have no idea why i like this...they are 17 to 19 now
They are 21 (nearly 22) and 20 now
Su was born in Dec of 1997, Moa and Yui in smmer of 1999.
Yep ! This is the song that hooked me . I was sold ! Then the trip down the Fox Hole just got deeper and deeper.
Bro I'm fucking crying right now this is amazing 😂
You can react to their song Headbanger, but the live version at Makuhari Messe . :)
you got yourself a sub btw
I highly recommend you see them live too or at least react to their live shows on UA-cam!
pa pa ya is awsome, and omg wait till you see a live vid they are crazy good live.
o and if you wanna see ther back up band the kami band show off check out rondo of nightmare with the mischiefs of god intro live. the band is really really good
Do babymetals doki doki morning
They're about 20-22 today.
If I remember correctly, they were 11 and 13 when they started
Love these videos new subscriber here fellow military been in navy 9 years still going ... would love to see you react to “Christmas shoes” and “hallelujah veterans version”
Great Reaction!! I love this song and this band. They perform it live. Other great Babymetal songs: PaPaYa MV, Shanti Shanti Shanti MV, Karate MV, Yava! PV Compilation, Tales of the Destinies PV Compilation (sold out Tokyo Dome show 55,000 fans). 🙂
This is my favorite reaction to baby metal EVER. 🤘🏼
"You would never expect this from the Power Puff Girls"
OMG i lost it when said this...
Babymetal Doki Doki Morning was there first song
The look on your face at the hip hop part alone deserves a like
This is one of your best reactions ever!!
And Billy you so crazy was never the same again 😂😂 😂😂 😂
The typical Babymetal reaction:
1. WTF?!?!
2. What the hell am I listening to?!?
3. Umm, This is kind of legit.
4. Holy crap, this ROCKS!
5. Is there more?
¨This first time i saw a babymetal metal video (gimme Choclate) i imedeatly started showing them to my friends just to see their reactions. When they started the Girls were 13and 15 years old.
Duuudeee more BABYMETAL, they are VERY Unique..Kawaii/Cute Metal and the music MIX BLEND VERY WELL..danggg it you got the vibe broo..nice :D
Next react to Road of Resistence live at Japan Legend 1997
He was so happy before the music starts. After music usual face as every reactor. 😂😂
try with BxMxC by Babymetal 😂
No live video or MV yet though.
This is their older stuff. Their sound has evolved quite a bit from this. Try Rondo of Nightmare, Road of Resistance or Headbanger instead.
nice reaction. I really love how people react to iine song. It's so funny 🤣
hey did start at 12/13 their now in their early to mid 20s and still going strong. . just recently wrapped up an american tour and now hitting europe again
I've watched quite a few of your reactions from other artists but, you can thank Babymetal for the subscription. Has anyone mentioned Band-Maid yet? Another great band from Japan. They're the best " hard rock " I've heard in 30yrs.
You should react to BxMxC. Its a badass japanese only track they released on their new album a few weeks ago.
He aint ready for that yet... let him enjoy the older song first...
Best reaction video I have ever seen. You made my day.
Headbanger, Road To Resistance, Distortion, Gimmie Chocolate. Warning, Line was not their typical song. There is an emphasis on the Metal in BabyMetal.
As a heavy metal fan, my favorite is Megitsune. It's also the one song that the video is better then the live version.
Can’t remember the live version (I wanna day download) but they pulled a slipknot / Trivium and had everyone get down and then jump up in unison during bridge!
@@cre8tive320 That was Metrock 2016
Nice reaction more babymetal
Youre reaction is priceless xD. You won a sub
Oh they're still going today, and hugely popular internationally! Check out this live performance earlier this year of them doing a song called Pa Pa Ya!! in England (also, they are Japanese, whereas K-Pop is Korean)
ua-cam.com/video/HaJUWRziDQc/v-deo.html
No one is ever ready for this song when first discovering Babymetal. Also Bill, YES. They are definitely still making music! They just released their 3rd album last month. They've been doing this for almost 10 years. You won't believe how popular they are around the world and amongst artists of various music genres.
2010 was the Year when independent from each other Suzuka Nakamoto and Kevin Ratayczak discovered that Metal was their Future. For Suzuka it was not the first Project.
Welcome to the One. Imagine that your 1st reaction and youre already being dragged to the FOXHOLE. KITSUNE UP!!! 🦊🤘
They just made number one on the Billboard Rock Album charts .. First Asian band to manage that. They went through a period when the were mixing genres more than they do now like with Onedari Daikusan..
They are still pretty heavily mixing genres on the new album.
Wait until my dude here hears BxMxC, that song is pure fire
First off....GREAT REACTION!!! Loved your facial expressions each time the feel changed up.
Just a suggestion.....check out these Babymetal songs in this order.....for maximum mind-blowage. (You might want to wear a helmet, so it doesn't make a mess....when they blow your mind)
1. Gimmie Chocolate
2. Megitsune
3. Karate
4. Catch Me If You Can (Live)
5. Road Of Resistance (Live)
6. Rondo Of Nightmare (with Mischiefs Of God intro) (Live)
Save the live stuff for later, trust me you'll thank me.
This is a introduction video they all are from different gens one is from a pop band two are from a little rap group... All put together to make Baby Metal. Hence all the different types of music... It's showing you where they came from to where they are.
