If the ACS64 in the scenario has a bad pantograph, why can't they just use the other one? I know the operational preference is to use the one farther away from the direction of travel but it's not unheard of. Seems like a simpler solution than dragging it back to Sunnyside with a diesel switcher, which shouldn't really be in the tunnels or station anyway.
I think both pantographs had faults so Amtrak and NY transport authority allowed the deisel in to shift it out of penn.

This mission is unrealistic because Diesel engines are not allowed In penn station. That engine would have to be third rail compatible in order for it to enter penn. although Amtrak has made exceptions. That is very rare

@@ColonelClusterFunk I did say that amtrak offers exeptions. But that's lazy of dovetail not to add it it because it shows they took the easy way out.
@@mbapnyc Thats inaccurately incorrect. The Only Diesel they allow in Penn Station is the P32ACDM
GE P43DC Railfan and Simulation There a video of a p42 dc and are you forgetting about the lirrs DM30AC. Technically Amtrak allows anything that does not emit fumes. I was being theoretical but dovetail can’t even do that.

just know. for those who play this game. you dont have to get out to uncouple trains. (unless you know this and get out for the sake of realism.) you can use the free cam to uncouple cars.

People don't wait on the platforms at Penn Station. The platform number is displayed five minutes before departure, upstairs in the concourse, when the train is already in position to accept passengers. You will never see people standing around like that. Developers need to do better research.

@@thomasabramson100 When the platform is announced, if the train is not there yet, the platform is packed. This simulation has a couple of people standing on random platforms with no way of knowing which platform their train is arriving on because there are no signs on the Penn Station platforms that would provide that information. A main reason for this is so they don't get in the way of arriving passengers trying to get upstairs. I'm sorry but this error ruins what is otherwise a fantastic simulation.
Most people already know what platform their train is on big hint SAME ONE every day so the go downstairs and wait try riding LIRR at rush hour

No , and I don’t think Dovetails Games will add a Eurostar or TGV train because they have the GWR, Amtrak , and DB licenses but not SNCF and buy licenses is VERY expensive so I think they will just add Americans, English an and germans DLC’s

David Alexandrovitch seriously? I mean maybe that would be OK these days but when the game came out the physics and characteristics of the trains were so incredibly wrong
@@AMT4245 Physics don't matter. It's the part of learning the controls. Physics of trains is pretty simple lesson.
There are a few thing wrong with the start up and operation not going into detail but not completely accurate

It probably wont happen with current gen consoles, chance is big it will come with the next gen tho. The route is just too demanding for the current consoles.
