Hey Carson, instead of getting a new tub for your turtles I think it would be cool to fill up your current turtle pond to the top and build a plywood/turf grass basking area that would line and fill the back corner between the wall and the pond, sort of like an in ground swimming pool. That way there would be much more swimming space and and you could get a better look at the turtles while they bask. You could also have some sort of floating ramp that would allow the turtles to get from the water to the basking deck. Love the videos!
Glad to see the fish room is coming along. Can’t wait to see once everything is all set up. I know it takes time.

I have a 150 gallon stock tank with two turtles in and a couple other fish and it’s perfect! I got a turtle because of the old sheldon videos so glad to see you still have turtles

You should get some green and albino tiger barbs, they are really active around turtles, they follow them all over the enclosure.... Koi swordtails are super cool and attractive as well, and some small nano and cherry red shrimps, the turtles cannot catch them and they add colour and life to the pond...

Plz do get a painted turtle. I will say that the Midland painted turtle is bit more friendly out of the painted turtles. I own one and she is definitely a trip and is a escape artist for sure.
Damn Carson really knows how decorate a tank the fish must love him he's more of an artist in this genre of UA-cam for sure I'm impressed I see potential for the future too.

Wouldn't hurt to build a DIY skimmer for the turtle pond buddy, for when you make videos I am sure you have enough old pumps kicking around. You only have run it a few hours a day legit to skim the top.

Diamondback terrapin is my favorite 😍. I have 1 dbt turtle ,1 pink sideneck turtle 🐢, 2 map turtle and a painted turtle 🐢
a fly river or pig nosed turtle will also be really cool but they are expensive and get really big
When you get your stock tank, please say where you get it from and what filtration you use. I've been thinking about doing something like that for my turtle, I could use a little direction. Love the video's, keep up the great work.

Do you still have all those fish alive? I have a 5-1/2" red eared slider. I got a pleco and as soon as my turtle saw him, he killed him. I'd like to get more fish, but I'm scared he'll eat them. What do you think?

you should check out dantheturtle man, he breeds and sells high quality diamond back terrapins and might give you a free one considering how good you care for these guys
He will NOT if he’s cohabitating 3 turtles in 30 gallons of water.
@@SuperVeeveez keyword cohabitating. turtles are very hardy animals and will most likely do fine in there for a bit.
@@ehthra5924 turtles are solitary animals. Plus it is suggested to have 10 gallons of water per inch of shell size. Most turtle keepers know that this is waiting for one of those turtles to get hurt.
@@SuperVeeveez he raised these guys since they were a baby so it’s probably fine and it’s temporary. turtles are civil and don’t fight
@@ehthra5924 unfortunately that’s not how it works. Hopefully if you choose to have a turtle you’ll do some more research and hopefully so do this guy. For the safety of those babies

Get some of that same grass/bambo weave you have around turtle tank & cover that black plastic w it...I bet lowes has it in all different sizes. Will make it look very tiki-ish...OR...if you know any artists...get some tempura paint & paint a great underwater scene on it...of course you'd have to tighten it up 1st...make it so plastic not so loose. Just the artist in me!!!
