Tech Team 00941 Non Mortise Surface Mount Wood Bed Rail Connection Bracket Set

When a wood bed rail to headboard or foot board joint needs to be replaced there are 2 ways to do it. The more difficult method, requiring both specialized tools and the necessary talent, is to use mortise style connecting hardware where the wood needs to be routed so that when the connecting hardware is in place the surface is flush with the surface of the wood. Not a job for the average do it yourselfer. The other, and far easier method, is to use Tech Team’s #941 surface mount bed rail bracket set. These can be installed by a novice with simple hand tools and make a solid, strong joint. In addition they allow for quick assembly and disassembly of the bed frame.

thank you. now I see why I couldn't figure out how to install mine - I have a wood bedrame and a different wood headboard. They line up with no gap at the corner as you show here. What kind of bracket might work? the manufacturer of the bed frame does not recommend and currently I have the headboard pushed up against the wall but would really like to secure it directly to the bed frame. Thank you

What type of wood did you use ?

you can purchase plywood. 3/4" thick I recommend. You probably buy just small ones from project panel section.
