That's just how being an adult works. When you're a kid, everything is new, so it gets stored in your long-term memory. As an adult, so few things are new, so everything gets stored in short-term memory. So we don't really remember it once it's happened. "Last week? I can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning!" And then what we do remember feels so recent because it's a long-term memory, but you look at the calendar and in the mirror and so much time has passed but it felt like yesterday what is this sorcery? If you want time to slow down again, you need to be constantly seeking out new experiences, and I don't mean new video games haha. Travel to new places, try new cuisines, meet new people etc. If your life consists of the same things every day, time will keep feeling like it's going too fast, because nothing new is happening to make you stop and take stock. It's why some people have kids, to live vicariously through them and not feel like their lives are just passing them by.

The game has so many secrets and hidden characters. The spellbook and special maps, some are one time plays. The game is super fun and quirky and its had some pretty nice collabs. Been well worth my money. Plus Co-op is pretty sweet.
I got the game 4 months ago and have been playing non-stop. I made the mistake of using a walkthrough for the maun campaign, but I've been raw-dogging the dlc's. So much to discover. Asmomgold is playing it the right way, not looking up the meta 😁
VS has a new DLC called "Ode to Castlevania" - that DLC wipes the floor with the other DLCs - Draculas castle is so big, with more than 30 bosses and over 20 new characters to unlock. Highly recommended !
The ball chracter Leda still exists. I think the dev may have changed the means to aquire the character so they became locked / hidden for Asmon. I still have the character myself but have played a bit during 2023 so may have unlocked Leda after this change if it was made. Can't think of why else its not in Asmon's character selection.
It just occurs to me, the evolved pentagram jingle is the Time Freeze power up from Hudson's Adventure Island III for the NES. Took me years to notice.
Vampire Survivors started a gaming trend and has dominated it. They got the Contra crossover, and it makes me very excited about a CastleVania crossover. There is even a new character you unlock that is an easter egg for sure. It is crazy to think they got the go ahead on these collabs when at the beginning it was straight up CasteVania stolen assets. Such an amazing and just keeps going.
Oh boy, there's quite a bit stuff added since then. Not just the DLC (two crossovers), but also just free updates. All of that comes with new maps, new weapons, new power ups. I'm literally a point where any new character I can instaly beef up to god status cause of zillions of money I got and I still like to fire it up for that chill game of killing everything on the map Oh yeah, there's also local multiplayer of up to four and I think the devs are working on online multiplayer too.
I thought this all looked really familiar and went back to the beginning to check if he mentioned it but no. This level is based on contra hard corps. It was a game on sega Genesis. It was a side scroller and it was really hard as a 5 year old. The floating powerups the gun the badguys. All of this is from contra. Brownie was the best little brother character (me) because he was the shortest and most of the badguy bullets when over his head.
I used to play on PC and just got it for my phone, yesterday I played for 20 hours with one short break 😅, split screened it with UA-cam watching Asmond play at the same time

Honest question: Did you ever play the original NES era Contra? I had it when I was like 6 years old so this is giving me a ton of nostalgia! The map is a clever mix of both the first stage from the NES and bits from the SNES era version. The remixed cover songs are on point too.
Vampire Survivors power creep is real, true, but remember that you very much can change what powers you have activated to customize difficulty. This is still a very well made game
this game is just jam packed with stuff. got it for like 3 dollars with the Castlevania DLC a few days ago and I haven't even gotten close to touching Castlevania yet. And theres like 5 or so other DLCs i haven't bought yet, but they're hella cheap and provide hours upon hours of dopamine hits. Also this game rewards you a lot for not going to the most OP stuff.

I always wondered if Asmon thought about moving Japan? His little girl would be happy if he did, and all fast food is quarter of the price it it in the US. For example from Mc D's in US it would cost you 18 dollars for the big mac combo and in Japan the same combo converted from 806 yen to USD = less then 6 bucks, OH and 30 yen for extra topping and that like 0.19 cents or less.
I dont understand why they still haven't included aiming into a direction you aren't facing. Holocure has this feature and it makes directional weapons SO much better to use. Just impplement it man.
Ok, I have to admit - after seeing how you defeated the normal mode of this map I am so glad that I unlocked the inverse mode. Becaue deeating this map with weapons with zero synergy, wrong arcanas and also increased curse is telling me how normal mode is for kids. And btw: guns are nowehre near the best weapoms iin the game. It all depends on powerups but probably Ophion or Infinite Corridor. Phieragi is great but with new DLCs I would not even put it into top 20.

You dont need to do the DLC map but the DLC has DLC like the upgrade boxes on the map making it way easier to unlock the new stuff.

That's likely an arcana effect you're talking about, the healing arcana sends out damaging pulses whenever your character heals.
