I vaguely remember when Kingsisle first released Pirate101 it was theorized that skull island was created after Azteca was hit by the asteroid Xibalba. It was explained later on that Skull island was just another island in the spiral that was colonized by Aztecan refugees that fled Azteca when Morganthe first invaded the world. That early quest expansion was such a fun bit of lore exploration.
I love that you have to start a war between two world powers so you can break into a prison that holds a dangerous war criminal, and you have to bring said war criminal to a different world power so their side can win the civil war that broke out because of you
I love pirate 101, but I eventually stopped playing because of the lack of updates. Pirates 101 was like Wizard 101, cooler, but less famous brother. So it’s a shame this game got the short end of the stick when it comes to updates. However, I should note that if they ever decide to add in more worlds or continue the story I will gladly log back on.
Agree. As of last week there was a small update which is a continuation of the Sinbad storyline which has now been promoted to main story instead for side quests.
Watching this has reminded me how dark of a storyline this game has, it's probably why I enjoy it so much! The gameplay, the characters, everything about this game is fantastic! Thank you for making this video!!

I started playing Pirate101 again recently. I never pay attention to the story line as I always skip the text each character has as I find it boring but this video helped so much.
I wish more people would play more pirate because it is true that it's fun besides it seems way more free and wild then wizard plus wizard is getting worse plus I always liked pirate but people kept stopping let's hope it becomes more popular again
I haven't played in years and I still can't get over how a third of the game is set in Cool Ranch. You spend so long there you start to forget you aren't playing a game about cowboys but a game about pirates. And I feel like Kingsisle kind of knew this, because they send you back to skull island halfway through to casually help start a war and do pirate things. Not to say it was bad or anything because the wild west aesthetic was amazing. But in watching it back, yeah they really could have toned down the goose chase nature and cut back on some of the quests

@@TheCraftBox I have played Pirate101 at the launch of it but I haven't fully played it due to the paywall (I have unlocked so far up to the end of Mooshu with crowns and now only play when there's a time of both Wiz and Pirate being fully free (either a free weekend or whenever it is actually free) it's also shocking that Kane doesn't much want to rebuilt the spiral but to just meet his mind true maker... Avery is I guess wrong on rebuilding and make sure pirates can't be around... if there's an Arc 2 it's be on Queen then
Valencia part 2 was a very untidy wrap up of the story the original game was written for about 100 levels of content. Kingsisle at the time of Valencia part 2 wanted to wrap up the story which has left a few plot holes. But in regards to Avery you could amount that to a calculated guess as to what kane wanted. Ussually you don’t know exactly what someone wants unless they tell you directly, but Kane’s actions in the game (destroying the spiral like seen in Granchia, and rebuilding islands, like seen in Valencia city. Plus is distaste towards pirates, such as Steed and Hooktail, lead Avery to that conclusion and if that’s all you knew that is an accurate assessment of the situation.
@Trevon Harris what do you mean if enough fans had downloaded the data of the game wouldn't that make it easier to bring it back? for example the ToonTown fan games
I loved Pirate101 more than Wizard101 because I could actually play the game solo and progress really far as a kid. I was sad when I thought they abandoned it, but I'm glad to see it come back to life
I believe a world won't come until 4+ years. The 2 for understanding the game and 2 for rehiring people, cast members, voice lines, animations for new mobs, world building, etc.

The 3 plot lines that I vaguely remember from the early game are 1) getting somebody ship parts, 2) going behind a waterfall to get something (I forget what), and 3) the red claw bit, where you fight them before the person gets boiled. There wasn’t a floating Dutchman plotline yet.
To give credit to the developers they have had regular updates this year. Plus they have continued the main storyline past what was shown in the video.

I do beleive that the dinosaurs were first at skull island centuries before, they did leave but when Morganthe showed up they went back

I was surprised while writing the script how dark some part are especially if you remove all the boring defeat and collect 10 objectives.

The one thing I've wondered with kingsisle games is why have a pay wall for the game with membership or crowns.
