Y'all if you don't already love theo, hear me out. I had three spine surgeries this year. I called theos podcast after my second one. Dude no fkn shit I get a call one night and he just talked to me and listened for like a half hr, then sent me the green smiley face hoodie that says "be good to yourself"... dude will always have my support and then a few months later is talking to presidents. But still cared to call a guy from a small town in idaho. Much love bruh
Yep. That’s Theo. I saw him in Phoenix and I happened to be sitting at the same table as his mom and we talked between sets. He’s everyone’s friend that made it.
I love it how he advocates for those in recovery.

Only Theo can interview Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump in a week, and then turn around and interview a lunch lady and a mall cop. Truly incredible.

Such a good episode
I am 56 year old lady that grew up in Louisiana. I am a retired elementary school teacher. Never heard of Theo Von. He did a great job with this interview. I LOVED that he gave a call out to his former teacher. ❤
My favorite part of this interview is that Theo does not treat Trump like a celebrity. He’s not trying to impress him, he’s just himself. So refreshing.
Aside from “dressing up” for him lol
When he kept calling him Donald (instead of Mr. Trump) I was like 😬, thinking Trump could get offended. Then slipped in a casual 'dude' too 😂 I think I was a wild ride for Trump 🤣
@@cupoftea2957 he called him dude , homie , brother 😂 I was shook 😂
Tbh of all the Presidents I dont think Trump cares
Theo is so underrated, it is astounding how accessible President Trump is. If that doesn't say something about who he is, and the fact Dana White is a friend and honest to Theo, tells me something about Theo as well. If you didn't watch Theo/Dana episode you are missing out. Theo told Dana he would love to have President Trump on his show, and Dana said I'll make that happen, and here it is. Dana is a man of his word without question!
It's a wild time when we laugh at journalists and get news from comedians. It's refreshing to hear such a candid conversation.
What a fantastic comment! Times, as they say, are a-changin'.
Underrated comment right here
I get your point but do you really consider this news? Theo likes both Bernie Sanders and Trump because he can't tell their politics apart 😆🤣

Barron has been Trumps best advisor…Doing all of these podcasts was a brilliant strategy
Of course he's a good advisor, he's a time traveler 😂
But for real, Barron might be the MVP of this presidential run.
What's funny is Barron was the name that trump used when he called Forbes richest list back in the 80's or 90's!
He'd pretend he was a "spokesperson" for trump, named John Barron...and it was actually trump, talking himself up.

Listening to Trump talk about his brother's alcoholism and Theo's perspectives on recovery was really humbling. Trump even says "I don't drink, but I could see myself being the kind of guy who might have a problem with it if I did" That's some pure honesty. Respect.

Trump is objectively a very empathetic guy. It's a key character trait that MSM really underestimated. The guy had no business winning the 2016 or 2024 primaries, never mind the general elections. But he held massive rallies, found first-time voters that had never participated in politics, and convinced the GOP base which was skeptical of him initially. You need a lot of empathy to connect with voters from very different backgrounds and build a coalition. It's an incredible political achievement.
I always like to make a comparison: Michael Bloomberg, another billionaire from NYC, spent $600 million on the 2020 Dem primaries and only won American Samoa (with 175 votes). Bloomberg is good on paper, he's just incredibly out of touch when people actually saw him talk about issues. He has his firm view of how the world should be run, and wants to lecture to you about it. In contrast, Trump actually strove to be a representative of the popular masses and he adapted his views as he listened.
He was so genuinely interested in Theo's struggles.
Theo made Trump accessible for us and showed his down to earth side. Thank you Baron for helping your dad get involved in podcasts. You are a smart man too Baron. This is truthful media.

It ruined my parents marriage and they got divorced, she got even worse.. she started acting awful to us kids so we had no choice but to cut contact. So much begging and pleading with her to get help and she’d get offended. It was a tragedy. Gone at 56. It shouldn’t have ended that way. I hope if anyone’s struggling and sees this, get help. Theo amd Trump having a candid conversation about addiction and recovery isn't what I expected but exactly what I needed.
The one genuinely sane and decent thing I've ever heard Trump aay was about the dangers of alcohol abuse. He's a sad ratf*ck excuse of a human being besides, but I gotta be fair, y'know.

I love the innocence of Theo asking why people are doing evil things around the healthcare topic and the answer is simply money. Crazy how true it is.
What's so interesting is that he talked about the drug/pharma problem, and the illegal immigrant problem.........and the irony is that once you fix the drug problem, the cartel problem goes away.
All evil comes from money. Some will say religion but the reason religion becomes evil is also money.
@@mrgreen2258ideology, power, and money are the evils. I'd say ideology is more powerful than money. There's a reason why religions and other "woke" ideologies want to get access to the children lol. That was one of the best moments of this episode. I appreciate how Trump didn't hesitate to give a frank answer about it as well. It's what we all know deep down, and it's conversations like these that get the problem out front to deal with. If Trump gets elected, I hope there can be a bridge of communication between podcasters like Theo and the Trump administration regarding issues like this one.

Theo is single handedly creating a bipartisan friendly comedic space. Absolutely love to see it! Let Theo talk to EVERYONE
It's not easy to be truthful about drugs, alcohol & addiction. Props to Theo for being open about it & props to Trump for asking questions instead of being judgmental
Agreed- Theo should educate himself about what Trump was getting at about alcohol being harder to get off of than drugs though. Theo interpreted that as situational temptation to drink, but it is the physiological part that makes it worse. Should be more well-known due to the prevalence/normalization of alcohol and dangers of alcohol addiction.

After watching this and his golf game with Bryson I’m more convinced than ever DT should have never gone anywhere near politics. He seems so much more at ease outside of that realm, and he was objectively bad at President. That ok though, he did a lot of stuff through the years he was good at time to just be old, rich, and go golfing my guy, you’ll be so much happier.
@@KevinSmithakaMelvinSmif Bad take. "Objectively bad" but no objective measurements, just your simple (wrong) assertion. The fact that you can recognize how much easier his life would have been had he not gotten involved in politics should show you that this is a (relatively) selfless act on his part. He didn't do it because he wanted to. He did it because he felt compelled to. He was the best president our country has seen in my lifetime, or yours, and you would rather him just have fun being old and rich? Pathetic.

Theo is turning into a real journalist, I loved his openness about addiction, and asking about Donald's brother, and pressing real questions about lobbyists and big pharma.
Why didn't he ask him about why all his advisors/cabinet say he lied to us about voter fraud for years? Why didn't he ask him about the 850 page investigation with 17 central findings with a unanimous decision to recommend 4 indictments and how Trump was the first president to need a supreme court ruling to get immunity for fucking INLAND crimes unrelated to his duty.
Donald Trump did not give a fuck about his brother who died from alcoholism.
Yeah I wish Trump would have answered more clearly on those questions but I think it kind of caught him off guard and I wonder if he even realized that was an issue.

But it’s too bad that there was no fact checking and that Trump just got to spew lies. Trump is sitting across from the Theo bold face lying about Healthcare. Trump plans to dismantle healthcare as soon as he is re-elected . He plans on throwing millions of Americans off of the affordable care act , Millions of Americans to get their healthcare through the healthcare marketplace will lose their coverage under Trump.
