bladerunner..in all my years , is by far my favourite film of all time. A lot of that was thanks to the mighty Rutger Hauer , a childhood hero of mine. And of course , the music of vangelis, shaped how i saw the world through my early eyes and ears. The book , Do androids dream of electronic sheep by phillip k dick has a lot to answer for. Anyone that grew up in the bladerunner era will tell you, nearly every futuristic game ever made in the ninties was a homage to that film and book. It gave us a realistic vision of the future. And through this game, it clearly shows that echoes of bladerunner , 40 years on , is still present. listening to this review has put hairs on my neck, evoking rare emotions of rememberance to the influenced young me. That is rare for an old man to experience..as young is so far in the distance you can hardly visualise the memories. needless to say, this is a complete insta-purchase for me. and thank you for a very passionate review. Your ideology that quality and art cannot be compromised , is one i agree with.

Thanks to your wonderful channel I have a huge back catalogue of previously purchased games to properly work through, but this game deserves my undivided attention until it is complete. If you plan to do a games revisited video soon, do mention The Observer again.
I have wanted to play Layers of Fear for a long time but haven't yet purchased it. Now I must add this to the list and play them both! This looks like a fantastic experiential game. I really love it when atmosphere is done so well that you literally forget where you are until you finally look up from the screen. Great review!

Just finished this game on PC (got it from Twitch Prime). Loved every moment, even during tense scenes. I am quite impressed that they released a Switch version!

Im curious what other modern games have u grabbing doors like that, giving you the old school immersion factor like u mentioned with the old resident evil games. I bought all the RE games and its sad how bad the controls are in RE1 lol. My first game in this genre was "Alone in the Dark" on the 3D0. I dont know how we did it in the 90s. I like how they put a Cyber Punk coat on survival horror.
You mentioned blurriness a couple of times throughout the video. I plan on using it primarily in handheld mode, does it ever get bad enough that it breaks immersion/atmosphere? Noticed it's currently on sale so I'm seriously considering getting it, especially after this review

I just bought this game years later, it must have fallen under my radar back when it first was released. But man is it good, the ambiance and all the little tricks of the camera definitely worth playing, especially at the price it's been at recently
I finished the game 3 days ago, the game Is great on switch, once you begin and you can't stop, got scared few times lol which is hard, the game is amazing, few frames drops but very minor in the outside when is raining.
Think I'll get this one on PC, but it does look really interesting and yes, Blade Runner is Crom tier and we need more cyber punk games taking influence from it. Great review as always.
I might pick this up. I love these quality Indie games on switch. I normally wouldn’t buy them for pc or PS4 but on switch I usually like to play these games on the go. Outlast 2 was excellent. Hopefully they tweak the resolution a bit. I wouldn’t mind seeing the vanishing of Ethan Carter too. Would be a perfect game on switch

Agree. I usually hate survival horror games, but I'm such a Blade Runner fanboy, I just couldn't help but keep going. The retrofuturistic, surreal, dream-like cyberpunk aesthetics were too much to resist.

This seems to be a good horror/psychological/crime/drama. I can agree that the price is a little too much especially if it’s not a physical retail version. If this shows up during an eshop sale, I will for sure get it tho. Some of the technical issues like a few stuttering and the issue with the gamma ray is putting me off on purchasing it as well. One of the major issues I had with playing “hollow” was that I could not see anything in that game In handheld mode (which is the only mode I still use) because it’s damn dark as hell. Immediately had to delete the game because of it and sadly since the eshop has no refund policy. 😤

And koei tecmo is eating turds if they still have yet thought about porting Fatal frame maiden of black water on switch. Sad that the game is going to stay on a dead console forever if KT has no plans to port it, which I feel it should be given a second chance because it didn’t sell well on wiiu.

For anyone still hesitant to buy this on the Switch do not think twice and buy this gem! It was a huge surprise to see how good it looks and runs on the Switch. This UA-cam videos don't do it justice, holding the actual game in your OLED switch is a hellavua experience.

Yeah, this still has a touch of blurring but it's more than playable with the in game gamma up. (Mark )

I never seen the new one...but I remember reading that it didn't do to good in theaters (they certainly don't make movies like they used to 😔)
