Curious if TCO calculations for electric vs ICE vehicles factor in present value of money? The high upfront cost of electric means that you can't invest those $ in the market, so the opportunity cost is significant and I think the reason that a lot of people aren't comfortable making the change yet. If I have to take money out of my investments to put it in my vehicle, are the lost returns for the next 5-10 years included in the cost comparison?

They make Jet Airplanes weigh less than conventional methods... They give Inductive and Capacitive Devices more favorable characteristics NOT POSSIBLE from Conventional Discrete Devices. Do those statements mean anything to you? How about Mahle and Porsche making improved Piston Heads with A.I. and 3D Printing? An Additional 30 horsepower and 2,000 more rpm with no additional changes or tuning. Trust, had they touched the Software they probably would have got 20 more horsepower.

Needs serious revision and reconsideration of the splintering of the sports and local media landscape and the value equation. Not there yet. Not correct on your current assumptions.

I noticed that you completely ignored quantum computing.
That is very unfortunate.
Although you might be able to ignore it this year, you can't ignore it forever.
Quantum computing is coming, and maybe sooner than you think.
It will affect several other technologies that you've mentioned.
It will tie in with artificial intelligence. Both for training and for real time evaluation.
It will tie in with advanced battery technology. IONQ now working with Hyundai on that.
It will have impacts in chemistry and all pharmaceutical science.
It will have impacts in material science, theoretical physics, applied physics, logistics.
And many other areas.
Don't ignore it.
My financial losses in ARK have far exceeded all my other investments combined. Why should I continue with ARK?
Volatility works both ways. Buy it when interest rates have peaked and then watch ARK climb when interest rates come down. You can watch this whether you buy in or not but it's more fun if you get back what you've lost.

It couldnt put words in alphabetical order. Cant put dates in order.
Our current other business search engines right now in use are plus or minus 5 years, Thats being used for medical health care searches.

The super computer, Ai, quantum pc, are still closer to a kids toy than a adult business use tool.
I vetted over 56 business sites, some with user numbers in the millions, vetted the main search engines. Even putting words in alphabetical order is faulty.
In business we must be 100% correct or be closed down if we make just 1 single error.
Close downs are very stressful to.
Yet the current systems are as discribed.
There are tons of gamblers and fools… very few informed dispassionate disciplined long term investors. If you don’t know who this man is, or the other superstar staff at this unique investment house, then you shouldn’t have your money with them.

They did announce a new car, they just didn't show it. They said it will be much cheaper to build, they said it would be built in Mexico, and that the factory would be beginning production in q3-q4 2024.

I really wish ARK would replace bitcoin mining with useful compute in general. We don't need more bitcoin miners. Once the network hits a certain level of decentralization, the vast majority of new mining energy is wasted. Hashing blocks is not very useful past a point. The compute required to actually add a block ({new_block: hash(old_block)}) is trivial by comparison. There are so many amazing uses for extra energy - including decentralized server infrastructure for next generation public/private private cloud environments. This, I think, is old thinking on their part. Love ARK though. Long time holder.

@Ark Invest There are substantial flaws in this “convergence” model since real core areas of development are based on decentralized processes and federation of manufacturing and services. Without a clear understanding of these underlying enablers, it’s just a WORD SALAD of buzz words and whizz bangs.
Decentralized coherence has sociological, political and the ability to rapidly adapt and change. This model does not recognize core fundamental structural and sociological changes already occurring.
The focus is on “companies” rather than amorphous associations of diverse talent and development pools which create product service and improvements in life purpose through creative and constructive association.
While self sovereignty is briefly mentioned, there is no understanding of what that really means. The understanding of the “Converged Network is our fabric of life improvement.” This fundament change brings on deconstruction of traditional corporate structure. Deconstruction of the Administrative State and the deconstruction of authoritarian models to free association which is based on the ability to interact without intermediaries.
