Over a year that’s 2000 minutes - assuming my time is worth $100 an hour the surplus to me owning it is ~$1800/year It is worth it for a roomba, if it was even slightly more capable it would be a home run. If Optimus was 30k - adoption would be massive if capability was there. Great vid guys!
Actually, roombas are good and you should get one. The issue is people don't pick stuff off the floor so they don't want their roombas to run. But as long as you have your floor ready, they're very good.

Thinking about having an Optimus or similar robot in my house I would definitely want to be building a custom lockable cupboard to put the thing in overnight so I can actually sleep.
Also the Roomba equivalent of being stuck in the corner of the room for an Optimus type robot is possibly a cooking fire closely followed by a house fire 😅
My vacuum robot is amazing, saves lots of time and had it for 5 years. In USA maybe it is cheap to get hire cleaners or maybe your friends are rich, but for other people vacuum robot is a great choice.

Cathie! Get Elon to build a battery train. The weight of the batteries on the train is not a big deal. Just think how heavy those coal trains are. A train a day could roll into a city that has suffered a failure of its energy production. Could overcome the problem with line loss of the power lines.

This probably requires AGI and won't happen even in 10 years.

The egg things is nothing to do with eggs, it’s just showing fine motor control in a unstructured environment, robots will be in factories long long before they are used in homes, except the rich showing off. AGI well A.I is increasing in capability and compute at at least 10x per year .. on studies I have read it’s approx 12 x per year, look at the speed increases in Nivida processors alone, … in 24 months that’s 100x better than current systems and we are only 2026, we just don’t know how powerful it has to be to get AGI, perhaps 100 is enough perhaps as you believe it needs to be 10000000000x more capable, but that seems unlikely to me, l worked as a professional psychologist so I have some grasp of what’s needed for intelligence to emerge. I am less convinced vast number of people would spend say 20k in cash to not do small jobs around the house, especially when they are unemployed due to being replaced by said robot.
