In spite of my dissing the McLaren I really like the way it looks. I have worked hard and saved money now as these years have gone by and soon I would like to purchase the older 12c. Your channel helps me to decide if this will be money spent soundly or if I'm just pissing in the wind and getting soaked . I like very much your shop exists. Have watched several of your vids by now and am amazed at your attention to detail and excellence that you and your team from your shop provides the customer. Truthfully outstanding workmanship , detail, and master mechanic experience and knowledge. Thanks for restoring my continuing belief in American mechanics and Garages . And yes, I have subscribed.

Very impressive! This patent fell short on time for me…I was forced into a Gen 3, had no choice in early 2022. Congrats on the device and it’s well worth the cost over OEM

Nice product! You did not mention anything about having to reprogram for the standard battery? I know in my Porsche and BMWs I’ve owned the cars computer needed to be coded to see a different type of battery. Is this not the case?
Of course, he mentioned it, its an emulator ie it behaves as if it has the original battery, if you wish to go back to lithium just disconnect the emulator and use the lithium battery connection, well worthwhile having fitted then you can have any battery supplier fit a battery at the side of the road if you break down.
$4,000 for a $200,000 car is only 2%. My 2016 F150 cost $40,000. That would be like me bitching about $800 radio.
We have attempt to fit this product. But the car won’t start. So we can’t plug the IBS into your product while the engine is running like you did in the video. Can we plug it into the car before starting the engine? The only light we have on the dashboard is park brake not applied. We have fitted a lead acid battery.

Having the same issue
Sorry for confusion. You CAN plug and unplug the small one wire connector (yellow wire) with the car running or not. This will not hurt the vehicle or the module.
Where do you buy the module ??? Please help I do have same issue on my 650 spider I give a jump and now says ESC fault vehicle Limphome

What is that loud sound when the emulator connected ?
That noise is the power steering pump starting up. It and many other convivence features are turned off when the car thinks the battery is dead.

I bought it but my windows still go down on their own
After ANY battery disconnect event it is possible your window modules will loose their calibration and will require a recalibrate procedure. This is not a result of the Module, but of the McLaren itself.
Sorry but way over priced for what $100 if that of electronics inside...
Hard to beat when OEM parts are $4000 +, Not to mention these batteries are currently on national backorder.
@@SupercarGarageATL I can understand that the parts on these are not cheap but for someone else to milk it..We here in UK have Thorney Motor sport now making parts for McLaren ie shock Springs but they are not over charging for them i think about £300 a set..A Battery in the uk for McLaren is about 2K .They would sell loads more if priced right
@@jasonlewis3820 you’re paying for the R&D and the solution not the cost of parts . I have a 12c i would be happy buy this module rather than buying an OEM battery .
