Zowie S2-C vs Vaxee NP-01S - Full Shape Comparison

  • This video entirely focuses on the shape of these two mice but I have full reviews posted for both of them. You can check those if you want any more information about any other features of either mouse. If you still have any questions, please leave a comment below.
    Personally, I have been using the S2-C more than the NP-01S recently. My pure in-game mouse control is better with the NP-01S, but the S2-C has been more comfortable to use and feels very consistent.

    your reviews are so good I just watched all of them lol. you should definitely reach out to some companies for review copies, I'd be really interested in what you have to say about their upcoming products like the lethalgaminggear saturn or possibly fnatic's new mouse.
    also idk why my comment won't show in the xten video but you mention how zero has a more locked in feel for smaller movements. would you say the zero or xten is easier to microadjust/offer more precision for scenarios such as 1wall6targets small and floating heads 400%? kinda feels like an odd question for me to ask but I think it'd give me a good perspective on the pad from the type of aiming I enjoy. I have a zero soft but like min-maxing my setup so i've been eyeing it haha

    • @jjdorig9712
      @jjdorig9712 2 роки тому +1

      i got artisan zero mid and vaxee pa, not sure about others, but artisan zero is perfect for micro adjustment. but you won't get that stopping power that you want for a stable aim. and most of the time, depending on mousepad, zero is too fast or too slow. depending on mousefeet. currently i moved to vaxee pa since few weeks ago.

      It would be awesome to get review copies. I love testing out new products and talking about them is very fun so I might try to link up with companies in the future once I build a larger content catalog.
      The xten feels notably easier to micro-adjust on, especially in those scenarios, compared to the zero. I transitioned straight from maining the zero to the xten and I actually felt pretty squirrely at first because it was so much easier to make the secondary correction motions for click timing that I would overshoot when I corrected a flick. It felt strange to switch to a pad that felt slightly slower for dynamic motions but was also much easier on micro-movements at the same time. I got over this pretty quickly though, and now I feel I can be so precise on small motions, just as much as I would on a speed pad. However, if you like the sticky feeling of typical cloth pads like the gsr, the xten won't give this to you because once you get your mouse moving, it doesn't take much force and will feel quick in comparison. Its control feeling comes from larger dynamic movements. The xten feels like a min-maxers dream because of how it combines the best of multiple pad types. Its only fault is the price. Besides that, it's actually perfect.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf lethalgaminggear actually is very kind when it comes to supporting small creators that show interest in doing a thorough review. they sent me 2 pads when I only had a single written review on reddit. you should definitely try to hit them up. i'd dm them through twitter or discord. the saturn is their approach on the zero. same with odin gaming's eclipse pad apparently. also hausgaming usually says the xtrfy m42 and np-01s is interchangeable for him so might be a good mouse to look into if you haven't already!
      I'm really caving in on the xten purchase now after reading that haha

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      I'm in the process of reviewing the fk2-c right now and I think it would be a great option for you. I would describe it as a less chunky s2 in the front and especially the back. It's slightly too long for me to pure fingertip and I have to claw-ftip hybrid grip it, but with 20cm hands, I think you should be able to get a great fingertip grip that is nonrestrictive without feeling small. If you want something that will feel smaller, the viper mini will always be a good option because it's so cheap it's almost always worth giving it a shot. The Orochi v2 is a good wireless option as well, as long as you don't mind how high profile it is or the egg-shaped, convex sides. I don't like how the sides are curved personally, but if you vibe with the shape it's a great mouse. And, if price is no concern, the m2k is still the greatest mouse I have ever used. It's absolutely not worth it, but it feels so perfect for the style of aim you get with fingertip grip.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      They are completely different. The ec3-c has a completely slanted design that is meant to tilt your grip and comfortably fill out your hand but still be stubby enough to allow for maneuverability. The np-01s is flat and is meant to give a thin and low, precision grip feel while still offering hand support with the hump. Both mice are very high quality but their shapes differ widely in design style and hand feel.

    I love the s2 shape, but really want to go wireless. At the same time a LOT of ppl say try the NP01. I tried the np01s but ti was just too narrow. So my options are pwnage symm gen 2 as a wireless s2 clone or np01 as a new shape thats similar but diff. What would you recommend?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      The np-01 is an incredible shape. It's somewhat niche because of how aggressively the curves are some points, but if you like it the shape is unbeatable. Just be aware that it will feel much larger in the back hump than the s2. I have heard good things about the new pwnage versions but I cannot vouch for them personally. Their quality will almost certainly feel worse than zowie and won't be as premium but they seem to be getting better.

    Hey, I currently own the Roccat Burst Core and feel like trying a new mouse. I'm a relaxed 19x10 claw grip, and I also own the Razer Viper Mini and its way too small for me. I also had tried the ZA12-B, which I loved but I felt like I just couldn't aim it just as 'good' as the Roccat one, which also showed in kovaaks and consistency. Now I'm inbetween getting the NP-01 (S?) or the S1/S2-C... I'm afraid the S2-C is too small because RVM is definitely too small, and I saw somebody compare it...

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      Try out the xm1r. The shape is really close to the burst but the sides and hump are shaped a little more aggressively and it feels just slightly smaller. It is much higher quality than the burst line too and feels great in hand. The s2-c should still be a good option as well and it will feel noticeably larger than the viper mini so size shouldn't be an issue. The width and height are similar on the s2 and burst, but the s2's hump feels much thinner and doesn't fill out your hand as much. The np-01 and burst feel similar, but the np-01 hump fills out your hand more and it places your fingers in specific positions on the sides instead of letting you do whatever like with the totally flat sides on the burst. The np-01s will feel bad to you if don't like how thin and low the viper mini is. If the length is your only issue with the viper mini, the np-01s should feel great. Everything you mentioned is a good option, but the xm1r will feel really natural if you enjoy the burst.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      The np-01 and s2 feel very different in hand so I don't think its a very good comparison to make. The front ends of the mice are perfectly identical, minus the lack of grooves on the np-01's buttons, but the np-01 flares out so much in the back and the hump is so curvy that it forces itself into filling out your palm, completely changing the hand feel. I can get very similar grips on the np-01s and the s2 which makes them very easy to compare, but the np-01 is a different beast entirely that just has its way with my hand, unlike the s2. I think comparing the np-01 to the burst pro, xm1, or kpa would be much better. The np-01s feels closer to the s2 than the np-01, and the np-01 feels closer to the burst pro than the np-01s.

      Yeah I think so. It wont support your hand through the bottom of your fingers because of how flat it is at the top but the hump will make almost complete contact with your palm. The side curves also work very well for a relaxed finger position.

    Any thoughts on the Outset AX compared the S2C and NP01S?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      I like the Outset AX it's just not my usual preference. The shape feels really good for my tilted claw grip because it has a nice bulbous back to support my hand and a slanted design to help me tilt my wrist. I really like the cutoff back as well. I can still have a high range of motion and use my fingers a lot to aim despite its size. The issue I have is that it feels quite tall and I like the feeling of control I get from lower button height, so I tend to prefer the EC3-C which is noticeably shorter. Plus I aim differently on slanted ergo shapes because of how comfortably I grip them. I'm more relaxed than I am on or other shapes, but I usually prefer a less relaxed, more aggressive style so I tend to shy away from using them as much as mice like the S2 or np01s. I think the outset is a fantastic mouse, just not quite my go-to over flat-buttoned, rear-humped mice like the S2, np-01s, or xm1r. I have gotten a few different questions about the Outset AX so I'll make a video on it soon. I may get an EC2-C first to see which I like more, then make the video, or just focus on the Outset, but, regardless, I'll make content about it specifically.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf Hey Krafty thanks for the reply. Super helpful and I appreciate your reviews a ton because of how in depth you go into explaining the shape and how it effects how you aim which other reviewers don’t explain very well. Just subbed! I asked this question because I was maining an XM1R but my friend let me borrow his Finalmouse Ultra Light 2 and I was blown away by its weight and ease of micro adjustments but I missed the stability of the XM1R so I was looking for a mouse that had great stability like XM1R along with great ease of micro adjustment and micro flicks like Ultra Light 2 for my claw grip. I saw your review on S2C since you mentioned it has a great balance of stability and movement so just ordered one but also was considering the Outset and NP01S as well for good stability and inner hand circle balance and was unsure if I should get the Outset or NP01S as well to compare to the S2C.

      Thanks, I love nerding out about shapes so it's always great to see that people enjoy listening.
      The S2-C still feels like the perfect claw shape because it does a little bit of everything and executes its design so well, but I do think there other good options that are worth trying. The np-01s in particular seems like it might be good for you. The front end is similar to the UL2 in its width and button height, so it will have a similar precise, pencil-like feel but you still retain some stability due to its length and rear hump. The Outset AX as well is actually surprisingly good for micro-adjustments. Its stubbiness allows you to use your fingers a lot for mouse control and the sensor is towards the back so you can be very precise. It will just feel very different from the other mice which will make or break it for you.
      The np-01s will feel like a different take on what you're used to and should be solid.
      The Outset AX could work well as long as you are willing to try something with a different feel.
