Tropical depression likely to become hurricane

- Fox 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says a tropical depression working its way across the Atlantic is likely to become a hurricane. Weber says that over the next few days, the depression will continue to move towards the east and strengthen. A few modules have the storm moving south, while others have the storm staying farther to the north. Weber says there are still many question marks surrounding this storm. However, he adds that at this point, none of the modules indicate that there would be any effects over the U.S.

Here we go. Hope everyone in hurricane zones are prepared and have plans in place!
Same thing every year so we are always ready
yep! Every time hurricane season rolls around, we buy an extra case of water just in case and sometimes stock up on canned foods. I know they said because of El Nino, it's not going to be a crazy active hurricane season, but it's better to be safe than sorry. And thankfully we finally moved into a house with shutters and it's a one floor so no more putting boards on the window!
captain obvious has spoken
fear tactics. dont believe any of it. climate change right!!!!?????? 😁😁
@@ACommenterOnUA-cam lol
That's a lot of dust north of it. That usually kills storm formation
For those saying it's early, you're right but look at what its name will be "Brett." As in *B*, the second letter= second tropical storm. There was a tropical storm already this year- in January. It was so early that no one was even paying attention and they had to post name it because it was already over before anyone noticed it.
The people who lived in u.s. and part of u.s. yall need to be prepared for hurricanes. Cuz hurricanes change dirrection. BE READY
Incredible! Already got a budding tropical cyclone. It is brutally hot this month down south.
Just the beginning, we've lost a lot of reflectivity.
If it doesn't warm up I'm heading South. Lol
@@cactassdupree7285me too. We’ve hit 80 degrees exactly 3 times this year. We’re sitting at 58 right now and expecting a 4th day of rain and low 60’s.
As a florida boy it don't bother me anymore
Same
I'm Always Ready 😊
Already man, this is early AF, were in for a real season bring it on!
Texas already had a hurricane Bret lol. Thankfully, it was not bad at all. Yes, this is so weird.
Real
These disturbances have got to be one of the earliest Cape Verde tropical cyclones on record.
Not really
@@doomguy584 Yes really
House insurance just went up in Florida. When will desantis outlaw hurricanes in florida ?
it makes you happy doesn't it!!!
We usually get more effected in August though, I never knew it would be this early.
It is now Tuesday, June 20th, and the National Hurricane Center has already downgraded Tropical Storm Bret to be a tropical storm for its entire duration.
I think the wind shear might weaken when it gets into the Caribbean which can cause it to rapidly intensify and move west into the gulf
Or head north from some models..
it might be sunny with partial cloudy. it might rain with partial sunny. it may snow with partial heat wave. what a joke
@@bryanpinto4051 Why don't you try being nice?
It’s a busy season. Since such a bad storm hit Florida last year, I am hoping that this year is easier for my state. Insurance companies will not be able to afford to pay everyone for another devastating storm. People will lose their shirts and have to leave the state.
I own a second home in Bonita Springs, FL. Hurricane Ian just missed us but pounded the coast from Naples to Fort Myers. I was down there in Feb/March and there's still sand all over the place. The beaches are in bad shape. Will take a very long time to get them back to looking normal. I've heard insurance companies slow to pay out.
@@MrPolymers The rebuild is very strange, there is literally nothing go on as far as rebuilds in Fort Myers Beach
@@MB-rr1fb Unfortunately the bathwater in the Gulf of Mexico is rocket fuel for these big storms. I wouldn't rebuild on that island either.
I'm up in the northern Florida Panhandle and insurance around here has gone up 3 and 4 times the price per year as 2 years ago
@@stevenrogers9643 It's the 51% rule. If your property has 51 or more percent damage you have to rebuild it ALL using current hurricane code. Many people can't afford to do that. Say you have place worth 500K, insurance might be giving you 300...........the new rebuild will cost 750K.............Vultures with $$ are trying to get the property cheap............it will ALL be rebuilt in time
Thank you for keeping us informed. The best news channel
He essentially said “we have no idea” if this will affect anybody other than fish. More great “reporting” from Fox News. Another scare tactic headline with no story to back it up. SMH
Ain't no way it is a tropical depression. They just told me it isn't even a recession yet.
Get ready weather warriors 🌀 🌀 🌀 🌀!!
Please come to Florida, need another day off lol
Already??!!! It’s only June!!! Smh 🤦🏾♀️ get ready y’all , get ready……. And be safe
Texas just had a heat index of 121. The waters are heating up.
N the wildfires started early in Canada
Already looks like a hurricane!
When will the hurricane hit Florida dead on? Will Orlando be the target? Lets pray for more moisture for FLA. NO FEMA FOR FLA!!
I'm Always Ready For Hurricane 🌀 Here In Miami 🌴😎
*Great report!!* 👍👍
everyone in Florida better start stocking up on water and prepare for power outages
I love these storms I hope there's bunches of them this year! Not much action last year....global warming hurry and catch up!
and also doolwoading lots of offline games cuz of power outage
Thanks a lot Jim!
The waters are ripe for anything to brew, hold on it's just June 🌀‼️
Well, there's the stinky seaweed that breeds flesh-eating bacteria, it _that's_ what you mean...
And enough large reptiles🐊 to make Gator-Ade...😎
What happened to Arlene? I never hear of it developing?
We are not suppose to see this so early.... really incredible to see
Endtimes🤔
Nothing abnormal about hurricanes in june.
Especially with a dawning El Nino. Usually, we see these storms late August or September.
@@mikegutierrez6227 they are also saying that this could be a cooler than normal summer in most places

Anguilla will not get any hurricanes this year ,nope never
Island time/paradise?! 12 years down there, glad I moved. I'll take the Rockies any day . Good luck all!
We Floridians are going to die this year of catastrophic hurricanes.
I agree. We can’t afford another one. Because, insurers won’t be able to pay and we will all lose our shirts. I am praying for a better year for all of Florida. Not just my little spot. Because, everyone were affected by severe increases in Insurance premiums to cover for Ian. My monthly fees went up 150%. I have heard that other complexes are having the same issues.
Believers keep praying and fasting for America !
May the LORD give us understanding.
Much Love to you.
With a 50% of thunderstorms, and rain. We haven’t even had any tornados. We only we had a lil bit of hail, but it wasn’t big.
We are in Michigan, and we are going up into the 90s on Sunday. Really hot in Michigan.
Come hit Florida plz 🙏
My name is Rena and I’ve always wondered if they’d ever have a Hurricane Rena. I guess Hurricane Rina will be close enough!

Does El Niño make hurricanes come sooner? I feel like we are getting the party stared early this year
it shouldn't make them come any sooner but it should make less of them develop into severe storms.
El Nino is just the opposite. La Nina is usually the system that causes monster hurricanes. It appears that the models that we have relied upon for decades are being upended.
@@DadBodDrumminggotcha thanks
Not usually. During El Nino, temperatures are relatively cooler and lots more wind shear and rain. Colder winter. La Nina it’s counterpart is more typical of high hurricane activity. We were super fortunate that last year was fairly tame. Remember, when the Atlantic had up to 25 storms? That was part of La Nina.
HAARP has been ACTIVATED
My depression sometimes turns into a hurricane too…. But, I’m bipolar.
Let another Ian like storm hit and Florida will be uninsurable
Good thing my $35K newly remodeled park model is in The Old Pueblo. No storm surge, tornado, or hurricane issues but I am 300' from the Heated Pool at the clubhouse...All that and a View of Mt. Lemon.
Ive been surfing all my life and i stayed glued to the weather channel as well as other forcasts and i dont recall hearing the term invest in the past. Is this a new term for tropical storms. Somehow the word has escaped me for 50 years. Low pressure, tropical depression, tropical storm, Hurricane are what ive always called them. 🤔🤔
Dear God, keep them all away from Florida!😮😢

@@nunyabidnez5857 I was in Florida when that happened. I've been through some bad storms. Not much to be proud of, other than I'm still alive. We've held hurricane parties. Everyone can't party when the lights go out & the water rises or trees uproot & plant into the roof. Have friends that used boats & long poles to locate their homes. I don't want any of this coming my way but it wouldn't be the 1st time. Some suffer more than others.
😇✌️
Florida deserve it
I always follow the European model. It always seem to be the most accurate. Well time to get the video equipment out and ready. Time also to make sure the generator is ready as well.
Weather people love big storms.
I'm Canadian and also live in WestPalmBeach FL.......Strategictly in West Palm Beach.....protected by the Bahamas......Palm Beach Island ans also Mar-a-Lago Trump mansion.......when hurricane show up in my door step.....just a gentle breeze.....
It's always good to be protected by billionaire mansion....they will be the first to go
Test your generators now and clean those carbs...sucks to do it in the moment.
Why do these hurricane/weather people not tell you the time and DATE of their broadcast. It may be a week old...or right now! There is NO WAY of telling!
Very informative!👍
No storm early in the year will ever turn north. Unless colder conditions are to the South of the storm
So it begins.

we can't successfully predict these things 7 days out, so let's try 9 days out now.
Tis the Hurricane Season
It was an insult to classify Arlene as a tropical storm. It never amounted to a tropical depression. And look folks this tropical storm Bret's predicted hurricane sate is going to peter our before it reaches the Lesser Antilles.
And now into Wednesday, it shows that all of his guesses were wrong with no likelihood of Bret becoming a hurricane any time soon.
Yeah I am so glad I don't live down there. I am fine with being in canada
Oh boy property insurance rates are going to skyrocket 😬
