Personally, I think he’s a better host this time around than back in 06/07. First time around, it always seemed like he was biased in favor of the ladies. He’s a lot more relaxed and neutral this time around, though, and seems genuinely happy when a team wins, whichever team that may be.

They made the right choice for Dylan to return. He definitely improved. Mike Catherwood's version I could just forget quite easily.

Dylan was great and interesting. You know who would be great to have on? Rutledge Wood. Last year he hosted two shows for Netflix, Floor is Lava and The American Barbecue Showdown. And the year before that he co-hosted Hyperdrive on there too.
Love Floor is Lava! That's definitely one to add to the list!
The new season’s fantastic! Getting Dylan again was a great idea & they *finally* got the bonus round just right! 😆 (And speaking of “finally”... I can’t wait for Marc next week!!)

I agree that he lets the contestants have the attention; he doesn't try to be the star. Nice guy! If I remember correctly, he's originally from Lancaster, PA, or somewhere around that area. I'm in suburban Philadelphia.

I have to admit, while I thought he did a good job hosting the first incarnation, I found Dylan pretty "plastic" on the first run of the show, which seemed to be the GSN "model" of hosting back then, but he seems to be looser on the current run and able/allowed to show more of his personality nowadays, which is good. He definitely showed that personality in this interview. Excellent stuff! Thank you! And Dylan's reaction upon realizing that was you on the old clip was fantastic!!!
I have always wondered: Were the contestant teams on when you were on the show randomly put together, or did you three come on as a group?

Haha thank you! The producers the first time around were talking in Dylan's ear the whole time. Now, they've given him more freedom. Sometimes it's not that the host is plastic, it's that the producers are! The best hosts are off the cuff, and he's able to do that more now!
Contestants always came together. Phil, Adam and I are good friends. If you watch the intro's of each episode they say how each team knows each other.

Do an episode with Kevin Shinick. He used to host Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego. That was one of my favorite pbs game shows.

There was a season in the between the 2006, 2007, and 2021 seasons of Chain Reaction, airing circa late 2015 with Mike Catherwood as host.
We know this information but Dylan did not host that season.
