- The one year anniversary of opening my record store here in Portland, OR was one of the best days of my life. There's no way to accurately sum up how it made me feel, but I tried my best.

I follow channels like yours (same with Noble records) since a few years back when i started collecting vinyl. You gave me some great advices as well as great references. It’s annoying that the two record stores I wanna visit the most are all across the map from each other. Too Many Records and Noble Records always have awesome stuff and I’m very jealous that I am in the middle of them (Kansas) so it’s not even like I’m close to one of them

What's bad about a 10/10 album?

Grew up with records and used to buy them when things were hard to obtain. Lost interest in them. Even way back when I never understood the colored vinyl craze. Black seemed fine. I also don't like how consumeristic records have become and every day it's "vinyl! vinyl! vinyl!". When you're a kid you would buy them because you really loved music and it seemed important. Now it's just another product. Records are also the worst format and no one wants to admit that. They scratch and get messed up easily. Rather not spend my money or buy something like a book or nice meal instead once in awhile and learn or have a nice memory of going out with friends/family. Sometimes I'll visit record stores here in Portland Oregon thinking my interest may perk up and I'll flip through stuff, but have no interest. It just seems so boring. I do like going and seeing live bands though.
I’m considering opening a record store in my hometown. What advice could you give?
What's with the No Doubt guy? They were the biggest band in the world at one time. Remember a sibling have their Tragic Kingdom record in 1996. Got free tickets to see them in the early 2000's when they played Portland Meadows w/ Lit. Gwen Stefani shaved a girls head onstage and the drummer got naked (probably wouldn't happen today w/ the world being so PC). I personally think Gwen Stefani is a phony who rips off others to get ahead, but I guess the deluded public think she's great. Ugh.
