Only businesses under essential categories are running and all are closed. If curfew is imposed in your area then you need prior permission, if lockdown or section 144 is imposed then you can go to your office but only when ur business is under essential category otherwise no.

Section 144- primirily focused to restrict the gatherings of 5 or more people. So technically as per the law if any region, where Section 144 is imposed are not allowed to conduct the exams. But there are few exemptions available in section 144 which relaxed few things and this restriction would not apply on students taking examinations, people part of a funeral procession, or a wedding group, or religious gathering, the order stated etc.
