He definitely likes jazzy horn samples. Finding a vintage record shop that let's you listen before purchasing helps a lot too

Do you make the basslines by yourself or sample? Ir you do, what vsti do you use?
All of it, use the bass vst from the Mpc sometimes. Sometimes I use just one bass sample and use 16 levels, other times I use a bunch of bass samples and try to figure out what fits.

Quick question: what screen are you in that lets you tune the sample with the Q-Links?
Pad Scene or the Program, both work. Or you can also use the Screen Control if you are on the screen page inside program edit.
@@mpchead Thanks, dude! I always do that stuff in Sample Edit, but I have all of these Q-Links I’d rather be using!
@@wrkrparasite this is prob the best thing about the X workflow, sometimes I don't go to the program edit because I have straight from the Qlinks.
When chopping samples, do you make sure you have a loop first and then chop?
hello how do you find the "sound" of this new mpc compared to 2000xl?
Big difference, no preference. The XL has less low end than the X. The X sounds cleaner. maybe a comparison vid would be nice.
