Please do lots of research! I made the mistake of not doing my proper research and I owned 2 leopard geckos that did not live good lives, one died from not wanting to eat, and the other died because it had a broken back. I hope you do not make the same mistake as me and give your geckos a good life, good luck!
Slim Baccit yes I have been doing lots of research. I have notes filling one of my notebooks. I watch Leopard Gecko all the time and I’ve learned to not listen to Pet Stores. Trust me, I’m doing my research lol thank you for commenting back and making sure I’m doing the right thing.

Is there any way you can talk to her parents about it and get them to get her another tank for her birthday? I mean just a 10 gallon even would be better than that and they are 15 bucks at walmart.
My friend had her leo with aqarium sand and coconut soil for 15 years and apparently shes still good and rn shes doing fine bc she had to move so I rehomed my friends gecko well she gave her to me for my b day but even on the discord server i'm on for leo geckos they all say to remove the sand immediately. but again I tell the my friend had her for 15 YEARS with sand and this soil and shes been perfectly happy...
Just curious...what are the materials that you've made the house out of? I'd love to know something non-toxic that I can mold and create something unique for my gecko as well. Any tips appreciated. Thank you.
Very likely styrofoam and grout. You can get this pinkish colored foam board at home depot for about 6 dollars for 2 2x2 foot pieces. Then you can get either sanded or non sanded grout to cover that after you have attached the pieces and shaped them to your liking, then paint it and seal it with waterbased polyurethane you can get at home depot as well. The grouting process will take a few days though because you have to wait quite a while to let it dry and then apply another layer and most people do 2-3 layers depending on how strong you want it to be. And I'd also recommend airing it out after sealing it for at least 3 days just to be safe, longer if you can.
Hello Leopard Gecko!! I have a few questions I would like to ask you. #1, Have you or will you do a video on having live plants in a Leo setup? #2, My Leo is not tamed, and I was wondering if you would do an updated video on Leo taming? #3, Is it good to take out your leopard geckos hide, only to get them out?
I had my leopard gecko Gonzo it laid eggs when it grow up and then I called it Gonzola . It lived for 26 years it passed away 2 years back & it had 2 vivs over its life time and when I first got it I kept it on brown wrapping paper from the post office 🙈 I had a cave and some plastic plants . Heat mat and a rock . Set ups have come on a lot ! Do they ingest that calci sand ? 😱
I'm 12 and I got my gecko like in March. This is gecko is my first bean. And when we were setting up my sister was going to put calci sand in her enclosure because we didnt know it was bad but god said "NO SHE IS GONNA HAVE COCO FIBER FAM" and I am so grateful that we didnt give her calci sand because I really love her
I started on reptile carpet, now she's on eco earth with more rocks and hides and I'm currently working on building her a bioactive viv like even building the outer viv
My leopard gecko only uses one hide in my setup, is there something I’m doing wrong? it’s the hide with the heatmat under it, but all the temperatures are great and she’s perfectly healthy, so is she just shy or is there something more at play?
Leopard Gecko thank you so much! It’s such a relief hearing that, but I’ll definitely think about switching to a deep heat projector (with research and watching your vids before hand obviously), I just miss seein my lil cuties face!
Neither. Reptisoil, organic top soil, Arcadia earth mix arid, Terra Sahara, or a bioactive mix of your own are all good options. It can be half textured tile if you want. Under six months paper towel and non-adhesive shelf liner are a couple of good options
PewPewCat it’s not the best option. Often times it tends to be quite dusty, which can lead to respiratory problems. It also has a very loose, even powdery consistency, and their feet often sink into it. It can be hard on their joints. It’s also not the most natural option (being coconut fibre). I know many people who’ve tried it before. I used to use it for awhile until I became aware of the downsides and the better options (reptisoil, organic top soil, bioactive mixes). It’s not the worst option for substrate and is great for humid hides, but there are better options for the main substrate that are worth considering.
When using a heating pad, can you put it under the tank? Like under the glass? I know I would have to adjust the thermostat to higher to reach through the layer of glass and substrate.
I’m glad I was able to get through to my father about sand. And their size. He thought they stayed tiny and wanted to get a 10 gallon pack with sand included 😳
I don’t recommend using eco earth for the main substrate, it can be dusty and cause joint problems. Reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate would be better.
PewPewCat I’ve seen dozens of people, speaking from personal experience, notice the issues that often occur with eco earth. Again, there are several other options that have all of the benefits of eco earth and none of the downsides. It wouldn’t hurt to at least give another substrate a try. www.reddit.com/r/leopardgeckos/comments/fd8f5k/leopard_geckos_an_advanced_guide/? www.google.ca/amp/s/aminoapps.com/c/reptiles/amp/blog/loose-substrates-for-leopard-geckos-the-good-the-bad-the-ugly/n57D_7zZuLuM236jl7WzKK8QxEkbJJ43poX www.google.ca/amp/s/aminoapps.com/c/reptiles/amp/blog/eco-earth-and-why-i-hate-it/QKdl_d26HXuepP4lBpbN8GYgQEEXRRQ6Gzr
Ive had my first gecko for about a week. Hes doing well and loving his set up(i used your set ups for inspiration) but im terrified of him falling off the 3d backgrounds Hes not smart. He will be chilling if i have him out then just start walking and he would literally walk right off my shoulder if i didnt stop him🤦♀️
you may have already done this but i’d love you to do a video on there diet as a baby because i am getting one and i know nothing about what so feed them when they are young
I had a dream last night that you did a UA-cam video and you were talking to the camera so we could see your face and I looked at the comments and no one even mentioned it and I was like 'wut'
My gecko has always had a naturalistic setup and shes had a deep heat projector most of her life. I only used a heat mat for the first few weeks I had her but noticed she wouldn't come out her warm hide so quickly switched to a deep heat projector. She's actually bigger than the average female gecko now but I'm not sure if that's to do with her genetics (which are unknown) or environment. She had live succulents before but they all died and I'm not sure why. I tried to make her enclosure bioactive but she ate all her woodlice lol. She doesn't stop eating and even eats things that aren't food like a chunk of moss that I watched her stalk and hunt.
oh god haha. Do you have a growth light? Chances are if you just use UV the plants will die. I'll talk about it more in my next video :) . Watch out that she doesn't eat the moss. I know someone I follow on IG, their female did, and she got bunged up because of it :'(
Hi! Love ur videos soo much 😉..I'm getting my first Super Hypo tangerine leopard gecko, she is 2 years old from a breeder this week 😅..well, do you put a ligting setup if you have a heat pad already? Thanks 😊
A strange question but, my 11 year old leo Ozzy just decided hides dont exist anymore. He spends most of the day anywhere around his enclosure which isnt a hide including on top of them. I am using repti carpet and a zoomed heat mat covering 1/3 of the enclosure which sits at 31celc with a ministat regulating the temp. I guess hes still getting tummy heat from his time inside the warm end but surely during the day the natural room light is ruining his sleep
He has three hides to decide from, a medium rock hide, one of the rock caves 'both from Exo Terra' i use as the moist hide and the half tree bark thing as a cool side. including other little area behind decorative trees and stuff he sometimes use to use to hide.
Everything sounds good, he’s probably just an odd gecko lol. I’d ditch the carpet though. Reptile carpet catches their teeth and claws and harbours bacteria no matter how much you clean it. Paper towel, non-adhesive shelf liner, or textured tile are all good solids. It’s best to offer digging enrichment with reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate. You could do full loose, half and half, or full solid with a dig box. I’d give him a ceramic heat emitter or, even better, a deep heat projector (connected to a thermostat oc). I’m sure he’d bask under one given the chance. They raise the ambient temperature and are more natural.
Fiona Shepley Thank you haha ! I’ve been looking into deep heat as she has been praising them lately in the videos ! I use carpet just because GoHerping recommended it like 4 years ago, before that I was just on paper towel. I do have a sheet of stoney tile and some tree bark stuff from the pet store in the enclosure just to add some new textures for him and his moist hide does have eco earth and moss but do you recommend a dig box just for him to dig around ?
I wish wooden vivs were more popular over here in the US. 😂 I was wondering, how do you clean and sanitize your naturalistic tanks? Or... Do you? XD I became a bit of a paper towel sterile tank person after I took out my eco earth because my geckos just kept ingesting it while hunting... I would like to move back to loose substrate again sometime and maybe add some 3d background stuff but I'm afraid of cleaning it... My crestie has an exo Terra with the styrofoam background and whenever I try to wipe it off a bit I just end up pulling off paint.... 😓
Bioactive substrates never need to be cleaned or changed. You could use reptisoil, Arcadia earth mix arid, Terra Sahara from the bio dude, or a mix of 60% organic top soil and 40% playsand.
@@fionashepley478 yes, true. But what about a background? The cuc won't climb up the wall in eat bacteria and germs. I do dream of bioactive sometimes but I'm afraid a cuc would bother my geckos... (When I type cuc it wants me to say cucumber.)
No. As long as you have the right bulb and you see the gecko exposing themselves to the UVB (even if they’re just sticking their tail out) you don’t need to use artificial d3
You don't have to throw it away if you have a combination calci/d3 though because d3 they won't overdose on. So just use it up. Calcium they can however overdose and also vitamin a. So some supplements are just excreted if there is more than needed but some deposit for example vitamin a can deposit in the liver if over supplemented and cause toxicity. Same in humans
What breeder did you use, I can’t find one at all. I’ve been interested about getting one for a while (I know my profile is a crestie but I’m looking into getting a Leo) do you have any suggestions or links, it would really help if you could inform me of a good breeder.
Check morph market, just research the breeder before buying. Avoid BHB, underground reptiles, LLL, backwater reptiles, snakes at sunset, and cb reptiles.
I got my boy from GeckosEtc. I highly recommend them. The male I got was 83 grams and the most beautiful and bright gecko I've ever seen in person. He is SO healthy too. I will probably only buy from them.
Wow I was born in 2006!!! I was going to get leopard gecko but I am really scared. I love animals (I even want to study herpetology in university when I am older) but I am scared that it will die or something 😗. Anyway I love your videos and keep up the amazing work 😆.
Dying is the most natural thing in the whole world. You have to learn how to accept death. However, if you do your best for your pet, it is not your fault. You can of course be sad, afterall, pets are family members. You just have to do your best to ensure the pet has a great quality of life and everything will be fine
Omg i feel old 😂. I think if you're worried it's best to make notes in a booklet so you can easier access them if you ever get stuck. Taking on a reptile is a big step, but if you do everything correctly, it should go well :)
Hey, so I saw your video on the ShadeDweller Pro and I want to purchase it, but my tank is glass with a mesh lid (15 gallon), and its only about 11-12 inches from the bottom of the tank to the top since I use tile. Is it still a bad idea to get the ShadeDweller since it is 7 percent UVB, or will the mesh lid filter out the excess amounts? Arcadia no longer sells the 2% mini UVB kit in the USA so I cant get that. (which is annoying since I would have ended up throwing out the kit since I would have no way to get the lights anymore once their usage was up) .
Yes, you can still use the shade dweller. Keep in mind that the bare minimum for an adult leopard gecko is a 20 gallon long, and bigger is better. I’d offer some digging enrichment with reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate. You could do half tile half soil.
@@fionashepley478 I hope to upgrade but for now I added a lot of climbable ledges and hammocks to add some more space and to make shadows. I put eco earth in the humid hide as well for at least some digging if he wants. I will give the shade dweller a try.
I've had my leopard gecko for a long time now and I used to feed him exclusively mealworms, but after hearing how they really aren't very good for them, I switched to dubia roaches, although I have heard mixed things about them. Any thoughts? Also I wanted to say how much I love your videos, I've learnt so much since I started watching them!
Hi, I’m new to your channel. I really want a leopard gecko. They’re so cute and funky. I was wondering what your opinion was on fish tanks. I was thinking on using of 15 gallon normal aquarium for a gecko. I already am saving up for a heat mat, coconut fiber bedding, a thermostat, a cricket breeding thingamajig, two hides, a thermometer/humidity gauge, and two bowls. Am I missing anything? I was thinking of buying a less expensive morph and I also wondered if there are any cheaper ones.
The bare minimum for an adult leopard gecko is a 20 gallon long, and bigger is better. Make sure the thermometer/hygrometer is digital (not analog). Coconut fibre isn’t the best substrate. Quarantine on paper towel for the first six weeks. Paper towel, non-adhesive shelf liner, or textured tile are all good solids. It’s best to offer digging enrichment over six months with reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate. You could do full loose, half and half, or full solid with a dig box. Get at least three hides: warm, cool, and humid. You need supplements as well. Either Repashy Calcium Plus or separate calcium and multivitamin powders.
Give her a humid hide, help with stuck shed if you see it (especially on their toes). If you’re not seeing her shed at all that’s fairly normal. They often shed at night and eat it before you notice.
thinking about getting a leopard gecko, one qestion, what supplements and when should i use them.also do u ever not give your leopard gecko supplements.
Dust with calcium every other feeding and vitamins every three feedings. One needs d3 unless you use UVB. Or use Repashy Calcium Plus every feeding (or every 2-3 feedings for geckos under six months)
Hello all! Question for whoever has an answer, I just got a reptile heat pad for my Giz. Does he need BOTH a basking lamp and a heat pad or just heat pad?
All you need is the heat mat, he doesn’t need a lamp. Although a ceramic heat emitter or deep heat projector (best option) would be beneficial as they raise the ambient temperature, let them bask, and are more natural. Any heat source must be connected to a thermostat, and the temperature should be measured by a digital thermometer.
What is your recommendation for a crested gecko tank? I am looking into upgrading mine into a 24x18x24 inch animal plastics cage, which from what I can tell seems to be a similar type of cage to the one you are getting for your leopard gecko... Has anyone used the animal plastics cages for crested geckos?
@@puddsmax863 Yes I'm familiar with the space vs gecko size requirements 😊 I'm asking more for input on the particular cage because the wait time is so long for it 😋 once you order it takes months so if I'm going to wait that long I'd like it to be worth it haha
I need some help my leopard gecko has some stuck shed on a few toes and he won’t let me get it off since he doesn’t like his toes being touched but I can take him out but it stresses him a bit any tips on how to get it off was going to try a bath but idk if it would stress him out
I have a job called 'giving a gecko a bath', and it shows how to remove stuck toe skin properly. Some people will do a bath with deep water - don't do this, just a little over the toes. But yeah that video should help :)
I’m surprised my gecko lasted 3 years with calci sand, I was young so I didn’t know I could see better advice on UA-cam and I thought pet stores were 100% trustable
I usually pop them in a terrarium. If it's a big build then i'll do a proper little setup for them in the terrarium :) If it's just a quick change around, i'll pop them in there with a hide or two :)
My leopard gecko is great she got sick a couple months ago but we have a really good vet and he gave him fluids and antibiotics and in a week he was all better my geckos my baby her cage is huge but don’t worry use larger heat mat and uvb /uva lamps and thermostat and repticarpet and hides water dish a separate powder for vitamins and another for calcium she eats hornworms Dubai roaches crickets and mealworms and waxworms I’m so glad she recovered she’s my baby I don’t use Mario worms cuz they bite gecko
Reptile carpet catches their teeth and claws and harbours bacteria. Paper towel, non-adhesive shelf liner, or textured tile are all good solids. It’s best to offer digging enrichment with reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate. You could do full loose, half and half, or full solid with a dig box. Is the UVB a linear/tube bulb or compact?
Hey! I have a question. So I’ve been using a heat day lamp from zilla as my heating for my gecko. I was wondering since the lamp is a heat lamp if I needed a heat mat too? Is so, what mat do you suggest?
You don’t necessarily need a heat mat but lamps aren’t the best option. I’d replace the lamp with a heat mat, ceramic heat emitter, or deep heat projector. Or both a heat mat and overhead heating. Overhead heating is more beneficial but only when setup properly. If you get a heat mat, a few good brands are zoo med, Flukers, and seedling heat mats. Any heat source must be connected to a thermostat and measured by a digital thermometer.
carousel rebecca a heat mat by itself will work fine, and you don’t necessarily need any other heat sources. But overhead heating from a ceramic heat emitter or deep heat projector (best option by far) would be beneficial when setup properly. Especially with some slate underneath. They raise the ambient/air temperature, which a heat mat cannot do. They allow leopard geckos to bask under them (which many enjoy doing) and are more natural overall. Any heat source must be connected to a thermostat, and the temperature measured by a digital thermometer.
I have a leopard gecko and I’ve worked with several beardies. Bearded dragons are much more expensive and require a much larger tank (75 gallon minimum for an adult). Their diet is more complicated as they eat both greens and insects (and need a lot more insects than leopard geckos). They also require special lighting. Leopard geckos are a lot easier overall. Both are usually very docile and handleable but bearded dragons tend to be more chill. It’s your choice, get whichever one you’re more interested in and can properly care for. I personally prefer leopard geckos
I am a first time owner of a leopard gecko I don’t have any lamps but I have a heating pad she has two hides one that’s over the mat and a cool one that I put a moist paper towel in she is still a baby I don’t think she has shed yet when I got her she was the size of my palm and now she’s a little bigger but I get so overwhelmed with what I need for her I was hoping u could help me step by step rather than me watching a video on everything I need if u can I would greatly appreciate it
I have no clue tbh, I've heard they're hard to find. As I said in a previous video, your best bet would be to google it and she if any US online stores sell them.

Wasn't happy when I corrected him haha god bless your vids or I dread to think how much ours would have suffered without you and through research!
Awww. Haha oh god, don't they have to do a bunch of exams or something before they can work there? and they still recommend calci sand 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ glad you corrected him haha
You have the best narrating voice. Like ever!
I got a gecko that was two weeks old and she died the day I got her ☹️ I totally agree with your statements
Great video!
Good luck with your geckos!
Thank you :)
3 week Ziggy is precious
Ikr 😍 she was so tiny!
It's crazy how much their colors/patterns change. I wish she would make a video on that. That would be so interesting to see in a time lapse
@@leopardgeckotalk don't know if you'll get this notification but a pattern/color change video would be very neat
That tangled house was so cute 😂
haha thank you :)
Aw you hearted it, pardon me while I go tell my geckos the news. :)
Watching with my Leo mr.light
aww :)
where did you get the 3d background? love your terrariums
I’m supposed to get a leopard gecko for Christmas too!!!!

FoxyDesDes hey, did you get it ?
Jojo Zamora yea actually and I have an Instagram for him. Zigster2020
Hi I just got a mack snow leopard gecko and you inspired me to get one
9:28 that is cool!
HELP!
There’s a girl in my class who keeps two Leo’s in a ten gallon 🤦♂️. She is CRAZY stubborn and won’t listen to my pleading. She says they’re too lazy to fight and just sleep so they are not aggressive.😟 I’m concerned for the gecko’s health! What should I do?
Toby Creates “too lazy” SIS WHAT?!
I know it sucks
Thank you.
I am also curious what materials were used. The Tangled house is so cute.
I am trying to convince my dad to get me a gecko. I’m watching all your videos to educate myself! They have been very helpful.

I just want you to know how much I love you😄
aw thanks 😊😊
I got my daughter a 10 gal tank and a baby gecko. Not even a month later we upgraded to a 3ft vivarium with the 3 hides, gradient temp, etc. 😅
I started on reptile carpet, now she's on eco earth with more rocks and hides and I'm currently working on building her a bioactive viv like even building the outer viv
Building bioactive tanks is so much fun! (So expensive though)
I've spent well over 300 dollars so far and still have to get the actual gecko 😰
@@pewpewcat7679 ikr! But to me building it was cheaper than buying one and then getting all the bioactive needs too
wow im not ready for a leopard gecko yet i have 5 months till my b-day when i get one i need to study more
7:08 omggg i remember that😭
My leopard gecko only uses one hide in my setup, is there something I’m doing wrong? it’s the hide with the heatmat under it, but all the temperatures are great and she’s perfectly healthy, so is she just shy or is there something more at play?
That’s normal.
it's normal when using a heat mat, though that's why i switched to the deep heat projector as ziggy would spend most of her time in one hide.
Leopard Gecko thank you so much! It’s such a relief hearing that, but I’ll definitely think about switching to a deep heat projector (with research and watching your vids before hand obviously), I just miss seein my lil cuties face!
I had my Crested gecko in a 12-12-18 then this year I switched her into a 24-18-24 and it is bioactive and she loves it.
Plss awnser is it ok to have carpet or do u recommend eco earth
Neither. Reptisoil, organic top soil, Arcadia earth mix arid, Terra Sahara, or a bioactive mix of your own are all good options. It can be half textured tile if you want. Under six months paper towel and non-adhesive shelf liner are a couple of good options
@@fionashepley478 eco earth is totally fine.
You need more views love your vids
haha thanks :)
Love your viddddssss!!!!
Thank you :D
Baby Gizmo looks just like my baby gecko named Awesome
This is a great video! 👍👍👍
Thank you :D
When using a heating pad, can you put it under the tank? Like under the glass? I know I would have to adjust the thermostat to higher to reach through the layer of glass and substrate.
I’m glad I was able to get through to my father about sand. And their size. He thought they stayed tiny and wanted to get a 10 gallon pack with sand included 😳
I’m 13 and my crestie that’s coming from joshes frogs will be my first gecko!
Damn I've been subscribed before you even had shown ur face
@Salsagames no idea
Where can I find a cage with A like sliding door to open!? I looked every where
Thanks for your tips I learned alot from your setups and my leopard gecko loves the eco earth and humid hide
I don’t recommend using eco earth for the main substrate, it can be dusty and cause joint problems. Reptisoil, organic top soil, or a bioactive substrate would be better.
@@fionashepley478 I would really like to see a source for that because I have never heard nor read about eco earth causing joint problems.
PewPewCat
I’ve seen dozens of people, speaking from personal experience, notice the issues that often occur with eco earth. Again, there are several other options that have all of the benefits of eco earth and none of the downsides. It wouldn’t hurt to at least give another substrate a try.

Ive had my first gecko for about a week. Hes doing well and loving his set up(i used your set ups for inspiration) but im terrified of him falling off the 3d backgrounds
Hes not smart. He will be chilling if i have him out then just start walking and he would literally walk right off my shoulder if i didnt stop him🤦♀️
Aw right, are you able to build up the area a little so if he got up there, there's a gradual way that he can walk down?
@@leopardgeckotalk i have that done. He can walk up the "stairs" all the way up. But he like to just walk off the edges🤦♀️🤦♀️
you may have already done this but i’d love you to do a video on there diet as a baby because i am getting one and i know nothing about what so feed them when they are young
Hi. I got a leopard gecko thanks to you! Thx for the inspiration!💜💜💜💜
aw thank you :D
I really need to think about upgrading mine. I’ve got a 20 gallon for now
20 gal isn't bad, definitely better than 10 :)
I was thinking about using a coconut fiber substrate, is that what you are using in some of the bioactive setups?
She uses Arcadia earth mix arid with her leopard geckos, eco earth won’t support plant growth. If your not going bioactive coco fibre will work.

I had a dream last night that you did a UA-cam video and you were talking to the camera so we could see your face and I looked at the comments and no one even mentioned it and I was like 'wut'
I'm getting a leopard gecko next week!!!
I know someone I follow on IG, their female did, and she got bunged up because of it :'(
I’m here early yay I’ll finish watching vid later

A C1999 yes, I highly recommend a dig box! If he seems to like digging in it using part loose substrate would be even better
How do I send you my enclosures for you to review?
I will do a post on IG when I am looking

Diego looks just like my baby gecko I just got.
Do I still feed d3 with a uvb
Tangled medival inspired house gave me giggles!
😂 I love that film so much
Do wood bibs come with the rocks and plants?
Nope, some sets/kits may, but I had to buy mine separately
Elizabeth Woods thank you!
Yeah I see what you mean. Thanks allot 😆

Fiona Shepley thank you so much! I’ll be sure to get a twenty gallon then. Thank you for the substrate advice as well.
Perfect:::
Why isn’t my leopard gecko shedding? i don’t know what to do to help her shed
Give her a humid hide, help with stuck shed if you see it (especially on their toes). If you’re not seeing her shed at all that’s fairly normal. They often shed at night and eat it before you notice.
My brothers gecko is about 3 years old and still lives in a 20 gallon should he upgrade the tank to a bigger size?
A 20 gallon long is only the bare minimum, bigger would definitely be much better.
thinking about getting a leopard gecko, one qestion, what supplements and when should i use them.also do u ever not give your leopard gecko supplements.
As long as it's taller than it is wide, and your gecko is at least 4 inches or so.
@@puddsmax863 Yes I'm familiar with the space vs gecko size requirements 😊 I'm asking more for input on the particular cage because the wait time is so long for it 😋 once you order it takes months so if I'm going to wait that long I'd like it to be worth it haha

Hey weird quetsion but donleopard geckos brumate/hibernate?
They often go into semi-brumation in the colder months, eating less and becoming less active.

I was young so I didn’t know I could see better advice on UA-cam and I thought pet stores were 100% trustable
When you change a geckos tank where do you put your gecko
I usually pop them in a terrarium. If it's a big build then i'll do a proper little setup for them in the terrarium :) If it's just a quick change around, i'll pop them in there with a hide or two :)

Fiona Shepley oh alright thanks! So do I get a heat mat by itself or do you recommend something with it?
carousel rebecca a heat mat by itself will work fine, and you don’t necessarily need any other heat sources.
I cant double the cold hide as a moist hide because the cold hide is were my gecko decided to go to the bathroom 😐
leopard gecko vs bearded dragon- which one should I choose?
I have a leopard gecko and I’ve worked with several beardies. Bearded dragons are much more expensive and require a much larger tank (75 gallon minimum for an adult). Their diet is more complicated as they eat both greens and insects (and need a lot more insects than leopard geckos). They also require special lighting. Leopard geckos are a lot easier overall. Both are usually very docile and handleable but bearded dragons tend to be more chill. It’s your choice, get whichever one you’re more interested in and can properly care for. I personally prefer leopard geckos
I am a first time owner of a leopard gecko I don’t have any lamps but I have a heating pad she has two hides one that’s over the mat and a cool one that I put a moist paper towel in she is still a baby I don’t think she has shed yet when I got her she was the size of my palm and now she’s a little bigger but I get so overwhelmed with what I need for her I was hoping u could help me step by step rather than me watching a video on everything I need if u can I would greatly appreciate it
Where in the United states can you get vivariums? I can only find them in the UK.
I have no clue tbh, I've heard they're hard to find. As I said in a previous video, your best bet would be to google it and she if any US online stores sell them.
