    God only knows what relics and unbelievable treasures where stolen out of these tombs,, and where it may have ended up! Just mind boggling,,, Not to mention what the Greeks and French have taken,,, I believe it was they who not only stole the highly advanced and scientific writtings,,, then brought them back to their homeland, where their scholars studied, and came to understand,,, then claimed credit Vlad,,,, I always believed this,,,, TY Sir,, 😁✌

    thank you, once again, vladimir, for this fascinating and wellmade compilation (both parts)! viewing these old pictures you can often notice the changes that were made meanwhile, on these ancient objects. sometimes even in times of antiquity, as it seems to me particulary the case with the ramesses colossus: at min11:45 it looks as if they tried to repair the broken arm with one of those (metal) clamps that you can see at countless other ancient sites - usually to hold big building blocks together (from puma punku, bolivia to tarragona, spain). can you say abit more about this special image: the source, time and/or whatever?

    • @felice9907
      @felice9907 6 років тому +3

      ok, i understand! the point is that it would be the first human-form statue on which i saw a clamp being used for repair, and now - in present time - when you see this enormous "sculpture" lying in the cairo museum there is no more trace of this repair. maybe the conservators there just put some plaster over it or whatever.

    • @vlad9vt
      @vlad9vt  6 років тому +2

      maybe - but on old original photos there is so called metal clamps ...
      i saw the same clamps on some another statues in Egypt

    Thanks for all these very interesting and (probably) rarely seen images, Vlad! :-) It would be even more interesting if the source along with the date of the images were mentioned as well, perhaps all gathered in a downloadable PDF document.

    What was the average size of those men and women?
    What did they eat and drink?
    What are those triangle shaped skirts for?
    What years where they there?
    Where did they come from? What filled those rooms up with rubble?
    How could they make, move, such large stone work?

    Every hump in the sand surely has something under it. You could go there with a few industrial leaf blowers, blow the sand away, doing no damage , and discover more wondrous things they built.

    These are beautiful photographs Vlad, works of art in their own right and deserve to be seen. Thanks to your efforts we can see in detail things that were obviously not locked away from view in the past and were openly available given the constraints of the technology of the time. How strange that modern archaeology is not so open and forthcoming with modern day discoveries despite vastly superior technology.

    It has always upset me that the excavations were made solely to rob the tombs...seriously nobody had the right to disturb the KINGS and QUEENS of Egypt

    • @vlad9vt
      @vlad9vt  6 років тому +2

      if there were no excavations, then we would not have recognized the past of the earth.
      For example, if the Sumerian cities had not been unearthed, we would never have known the Sumerian myths and legends recorded on clay tablets.
      excavations must be carried out - they are the key to the past - to that what happened here in the past?
