    How about instead of having an American flag on each place, you have the country's flag that you are talking bout. Just a thought. Doesn't bother me, but it could trigger a few....

      You guys see the channel name, right? It’s to remind viewers which channel they’re watching since list videos are a dime a dozen.

      Spacegoat92 It's an American making a video in America. He can fly whatever flag he'd like. Just saying. If it bothers anyone then then I guess they'd like Nazi flags better

      It didn't "trigger" me, but I think it would have been a better idea and help viewers remember where these places are.

      Eye Ball I guess they can't hear. The narrator clearly tells viewers where the castles are located.

    Another cool place would have to be Borabudur in Indonesia. Saw a TV special and was blown away. Like a Buddhist Pyramid with intricate carvings.

    I think that the German castle served as inspiration for Walt Disney

    • @JMichellePhillipsRisingthunder
      @JMichellePhillipsRisingthunder 7 років тому +1

      Matter of fact the 🏰 that Walt Disney was inspired by one in Germany. I was station in Germany from 1995 to 1997. They have a boat tour that you can take that has castles all along the river and on new years eve and on 4th. of July. Every castles along the river shooting off fireworks. Amazing sight to see.

      While I was station there I was so amazed of the way they recovered from WW2 and the Berlin Wall guard towers still stand and the ground still marks the earth as a reminder. The village I live the buildings and homes had the original foundations and part of the walls and they just built up from the old showing all how much was destroyed. But to witness the march the Germans did once a year in protest Americans being there in their country made me think about home in the U.S. with the land being stolen land from the Native American Indians and the treatment they get to this day and the illegal immigrants that still fine their way to the U.S. but for Germany, they showed me that if you have at lease a little faith you can still find the beauty after the nightmare of hell ends. The World Government Leaders need to stop playing their version game of Risk with innocent lives paying the price of their Greed before they destroy everything and everyone. We need to all take a lesson from the past so we can have a future to pass on.

    Glenfinnan viaduct... Built by 'Concrete Bob' MacAlpine... the man was obsessed with the stuff. There's another six viaducts and heaven only knows how many bridges on the West Highland line, all built out of unreinforced concrete, which back in 1897 was a novel method of construction, all built by Concrete Bob. The fact that the line is still operational, running through beautiful but rugged country in what can be very tough climactic conditions, especially because much of it runs alongside sea lochs and the Atlantic coast ( where salty sea air is notorious for rotting concrete) with little maintenance needed even nowadays, is a testament to both the man and the material. Well over a century later you'll not get much better concrete than that poured by Bob.... and for what it's worth, MacAlpines are still world leaders in concrete technology.

    Ludwig the second is also called the "Märchenkönig" (Fairytale King). For he build four famous castles. Neuschwanstein is the most popular, but all of them are beautiful. Linderhof (having the famous Venusgrotte) and Herrenchiemsee (inspired by Versailles), as well as the Königshaus am Schachen (inspired by a castle near Istanbul). Plus he had plans for 3 more castles at least. He was about to start with Burg Falkenstein (which would have been a match to Neuswanstein, go google "burg falkenstein plans" it would've been so beautiful) and he wanted to build a chinese and a byzantine palace as well. But there are hell of a lot of castles and castle ruins in germany. Some places you've got the remains of a castle on every mountain or hill.

    Mount St. Michelle is one of those sites that make you gasp with the shear appreciation of how much work and knowledge went into building that castle. You can only access it at low tide since it will be an island at high tide. The stonework and masonry that went into it's construction is something that today no architect or mason could ever try and reproduce. We seriously lost so much knowledge of building, spiritual understanding and magnetic ley lines over the centuries it begs the question - Will we _ever_ be able to understand the things we as a species once may have mastered? Like the mortar used in the Great Pyramid of Egypt- Modern Scientists can not reproduce it and it's so hard its actually stronger than the stones it binds together. And people say Ancient people had no technology like we do today.... That may be true but perhaps their technology and understanding served them much better than the junk we so eagerly buy today and call it a technological marvel.... While bridges collapsed, buildings crumble, preventable disease are rampant around us all.....
    Petra - All I can think when I see Petra is...... Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and the Old Knight guarding the Holy Grail.

    😂, the one in Turkey when he first started....the long pause after announcing it, i thought it was a castle in ice that got covered over and I was missing something! Then as he changed directional view and and said cotton candy or whatever, I was thinking it was some hot springs in ice! But then he said Turkey and I was blown away until I saw the sand picture!

    The red tides associated with bioluminescent waters happen all along the California coast, from San Diego to Tomales Bay/Marine Headlands, just north of San Francisco. Tomales Bay has campgrounds nearby where you can launch a kayaks or SUP to explore the glowing waters. I believe that Tomales is best seen around September through November. Just be alert for sharks, as this area is, more or less, the upper point of the "Red Triangle." How creepy would that be? A glowing great white! Seems like something that was in an old Scooby Doo cartoon! LOL

    Why do americans seem to have a speech impediment which prevents them from pronouncing foreign names ...given their obsession with pc and how they trip over themselves to get pronunciation correct when it comes to latino names I've noticed,central and south america mainly, they do struggle or are not bothered when it comes to other european languages.
