Loveshack started in 2014 with video game reviews, before shifting content focus to Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic the Gathering, and Pokemon pack openings! I really like the red flare for commander beeing able to pick up some big spell even for the cost of your commander can be worth it.
Wight of the reliquiry ... Seems super strong to me and is at least in germany quite cheap atm ... And ripples of undeath aswell for commander is dirt cheap atm... For selfmilling reanimator it seems like a better sylvan library to me... and i am very excited to play. ..
Last 2... The new ajanis 0 ability is busted and i love the prolifewale... That one aswell mostly for commander. Dirt cheap 7/5 for 3 manas that gets counters to the moon😅

I say do not get Nadu.
1. it's boringly strong in EDH and will you REALLY have fun playing it, when everyone will roll their eyes?
2. there's a good chance it will get banned *in modern (edit) and the price will tank.
There's a ton of cards that are super cheap now. Because there are so many other expensive cards now, they soak up a lot of the value, even if MH3 displays are expensive. Like, get a ruby and sapphire medallion for your spellslinger and/or artifact decks right now. They're like a buck or two. They will go back up eventually, even if you didn't quite catch the low. Same with fetchlands. You can get some of them for 10 bucks (in europe that is). They'll never be much cheaper.
I fully expect most of the eldrazi to drop in price. They aren't modern viable and even if one of them is, than it will be that one eldrazi, but not all of them. You only ever need one in your commander deck and MAYBE there's enough eldrazi variety now that you could theoretically play up to three different eldrazi decks that all play differently but you could say the same about goblin, zombie or elf-decks. All these Eldrazi won't stay above 20 or even 10 bucks. Not with all the other gas in the set.
Instead a couple of overlooked rares and even mythics might seriously spike in price if there's suddenly a deck around it in modern or EDH players realize that this or that card is a staple.
Cards like "Arena of Glory" are like buck now. Yes, it MIGHT go down to 50 cents, but it could also easily become a 10 buck card, if people start realizing how good a land is that gives up to two creatures haste without having to spend mana on it. Decks like the casual favourite Krenko Mob Boss will auto include this card. Or Rakdos, Lord of Riots. Every single deck with red in it that wants haste on it's commander will want to run this card. I will also run it in Ur-Dragons because dragons need haste. I bought like 4 copies of this. Hall of the Bandit Lord is still a 5-buck card, comes into play tapped, produces only colorless (good for eldarzi though...), can only give up to one creature haste and deals 3 damage to you for using it, even if you're not casting a creature spell with it. And people look at Arena of Glory and are like "meh".
A lot of the energy cards are very cheap now because modern doesn't have an energy deck. But not only can that can change but also some energy cards are really good by themselves, making it even more likely that an energy deck will emerge. Static Prison the white uncommon O-Ring that costs a SINGLE white mana to remove any non-land permanent until it leaves play. You don't need to play energy for this be a really good "answer everything" removal spell for 2-3 turns. There may now be a critical mass of really good energy spells that any given energy card that is now like a buck will suddenly spike.
Also Volatile Stormdrake. It's a blue spell with energy-text on it. You could completely ignore the energy text on it and it would say "2 mana, steal a guy and sacrifice it. your opponent get's a 3/3 flyer" That's a 2 mana pongify that gets around indestructible and also you (not the owner) get any benefits if there are any good death triggers. But you actually don't ignore the energy text because it gives you 4 energy so you actually DO steal and get to keep everything with mana value 4 or less if you feel like it.
There's so many cards. I can't talk about all of them. 😭

I ment in EDH it's boringly strong (sure, have fun with it in cEDH - most cEDH-commanders aren't very pricey though) and it might get banned in MOERN because some people are already very excited about it (shuko and stuff). But I did say "MIGHT" , not "it will be."
I just think a bunch of cards are a bit overvalued now. Not underrated, but just overvalued in terms of money. So even if Nadu ends up doing nothing in modern and is only "kind of really busted" in EDH -> do you think it will hold the current value?
I guess, if it's just generically good in the 99, it might keep the value or even climb. But it does feel more of a "built around me" card.
The headliner cards always steal the spotlight before they get into the hands of players then the real value emerges. Here is some free alpha for you singles degenerates out there - Buried Alive, Priest of Titania, Cephalid Coliseum, medallion cycle; don't forget to look at MH3 commander as reprints have put cards like Apex Devastator into the $3 range down from $20.

I think there’s some that are worth waiting on, too. But some of them are at a solid price for what I think the long term potential of them is,if that makes sense.

I’m not saying all of it is perfect, for sure, but I think the Fetches, the Medallions, all that stuff is down pretty significantly from where it was.
@@LoveshackYT As a very budget player, I disagree with the title. Cheap in my mind (which is subjective) is something below $3 or so. A couple on the video fell under that but the majority are cards $10+ which I wouldn’t consider cheap. Just my opinion though
That’s fair - I appreciate the response! I certainly wasn’t intending to be misleading, I guess what I meant by “cheap” was in relation to where they were - I didn’t want to drop $40 on a bloodstained mire but I’m much more happy to drop $12 on one, if that makes sense. Not “budget” but certainly cheaper.

That being said, I saw Ulamog and knew this video was clickbait. I do not understand how you can list some of the most expensive cards in the set and call that cheap. Budget or not, that is messed up.
So, I think it depends. I was looking at it versus long term playability & usage.
Historically speaking, the Titans (previous versions) all had a bottom out point before going back up. It’s very realistic to think that the Ulamog right now which is around $45-50, could see an increase over the next year if it performs as well as people are projecting.
In the video however, I did say specifically on a few of the cards that it’s better to hold off on a few for a bit, but we’ve been seeing this trend where things are cheapest the first week or two before people start to scoop things up and prices steadily rise on desired cards.
Expensive or not, if they’re cheap right now and likely won’t go much lower, there’s an argument to be made that this could be the time to buy.
