@@BaseballifyAgreed 💯..I just moved from Oakland about a week ago and to go from a pro sports major league city to a minor league city is pathetic and sad.. @@silverado2004As sad as it is to lose an MLB team, Oakland did the math and decided that investing in a new stadium will not pay off. And I mean, it's not like Oakland had the MLB team they deserved, A's ownership drove the team into the ground.
There should be an ESPN 30 for 30 on what happened in Oakland. In a very short period of time we lost all three teams. All three. That’s amazing. If it were just one you can easily attack the owner. Two? Makes it difficult. All three teams???? Clearly the common denominator is Oakland. Not the patch of dirt or the citizens. The politicians. Larry Reid said over a decade ago what the Oakland politicians were striving for. A sports free city. They wanted a different vision. Didn’t want the blue collar there either. They wanted to be like SF, silicon valley. Well, it backfired. All it is is high crime, high violent crime. Extremely filthy. Ugly. Bums. Unemployment rate highest in the country, to go along with the murder rate. Criminals now run things. The DA, holy shit she refuses to hold criminal accountable! Sickening. It’s a horrible mess in Oakland. I sure hope we get to see that 30 for 30 show on ESPN.
My non-blood brother passed away this weekend and was the one who introduced me to the Oakland Ballers franchise. I'll be sure to catch a game this season.
Although, this is not an MLB team, I'm still stoaked. Baseball belongs in Oakland. There's a rich baseball history there. We are sad that the A's are leaving, but what can we the fans do? The ballers are coming and I'm optimistic they will show love to Oakland.
Same here. I'm rooting for the Ballers to do well, and get the rings the A's couldn't bring them...oh,and I hope the Yankees LIGHT THE A'S THE F**K UP every time they go to Vegas. Those fans are gonna wish they never got a team
So pumped seeing this news today! It's been a rough year for A's fans from all around and the city of Oakland. This is EXACTLY what we needed to boost morale and give us something to look forward to! Hats off to Paul, Bryan, and anyone else that has played a role in making this happen!
Very happy to see another team in Oakland. Although I'm from Southern California, I have absolutely loved Oakland every time I've visited, so I'm so excited to hopefully see the B's at some point if I'm up there again.
I am a Seattle native. I have tickets to the mariners final game which is against the athletics. Rest assured knowing that my tickets are eight behind home plate and I will have a Kelly green “sell the team” sign. Really sorry Oakland. Go ballers!
Makes sense why you’re done with baseball. Because Oakland is not a baseball town never has been. Fairweather fans who don’t even show up when the team was winning
We've had our Pioneer League team out here in Grand Junction, Colorado since 2012". We love it. The Pioneer League is totally legit for those that are newcomers to the league. Get ready! It's a great league and super exciting to watch. Highly competitive!!
H-Town native here, I have been highly intrigued by the A's and their rich history in Oakland, and seeing them ripped out of their city has been something that's really upset me. I'm excited to see the resiliency of the Oakland people continue, and I will be keeping an eye on the Ballers. GO BALLERS!
Is there an age limit to trying out for the Ballers? I’m 43 but can still play, field and hit at a high level! Hope someone can give me some information on this.
I'm a mets can. I can't imagine what it would feel like if my team suddenly moved to another city and I couldn't go to games anymore. im sorry for the people of Oakland. you guys deserve better

I’m sold! We need something in Oakland Oakland is like the modern day Jerusalem *no not todays era* by no means but the roots from Oakland going back to the early 60s and 70s what im talking about Great men and women to either come out of Oakland or be influenced by Oakland
New fan here all the way from England! I love this way of ownership, teams belong to the fans, period. I’ve read comments about people complaining that’s it’s just a small team starting out etc. The Green Bay packers were a small team once 🤔
Im just saying. If possible itd be awesome to bring back the old Oakland Oaks name of the Pacific Coast League to really tie into the spirit of East Bay Baseball
Now I'm British so I'm not a big fan of baseball but seeing the A's move from oakland to vegas is tragic I'm so glad the local community is going to be bringing back baseball to this amazing city
Fellow Brit here. I have been gradually getting into baseball. Totally lost interest with football (soccer) always loved what the Green Bay packers are about, so this is just perfect for me. Any sports club should always be fan owned in my view.
The owner sucks. But the Giants and MLB owners are also at fault for not letting the team move to San Jose. I hope this indy team makes a dent into MLB's coffers.
It goes way before John Fisher and the Giants vetoing the San Jose proposal. Blame the A's ownership after Walter A. Haas died in 1995 for not creating a baseball-only facility not just in Oakland like Jack London Square or at the border between Oakland and Emeryville, but also in other East Bay cities like Fremont or Dublin. I also blame the City of Oakland for giving in to Al Davis's demands of building Mount Davis.
As a philly fan i always respected oakland in sports they had great diehard fans more than other cali teams and to me it was such a slap in the face moving the raiders and now A's to vegas. Hope this goes well for the fans.
As an Oakland native, I love that Oaklanders are taking baseball into their own hands, but I say this with love: the branding makes me cringe. "Ballers" makes me think of basketball, not baseball, and the "B's" makes the team sound like the A's from Wish. If I'm going to watch baseball in Oakland, if I'm not watching the Fisher-less Oakland A's, I want the home team to give me ZERO reminders of the A's: not the letters, not the colors, NOTHING. The divorce needs to be clean, and the way the Ballers are branding, this only reminds me of what we lost, not what we're building.
I don’t know. I like the B’s. It’s like a F you to fisher and the A’s. It’s also like a way to identify a real Oakland fan and not just an A’s fan. You see someone in the A’s hat it’s like “oh they’re fans of the athletics” you see someone in the B and know they’re fans of the city. I think it’s cool but that’s just my opinion.
I’m a Cincinnati Reds fan and I’ve never been to Oakland, but I 100% support this. What MLB and the A’s ownership just did to your city and your fans was a new level of disgrace. I hope this works out for you.
