Nice video. One suggestion especially if there is going to be a lot of tarp overlap. Before you roll out the front tarp, climb down onto your trailer and get the back tarp adjusted to where you want it. That way you’re not dealing with a lot of friction from a longer overlap.
Man brother thank you so much for this video I just started doing flatbed and I will recommended this video to anyone who is new I really appreciate you describing how the front and back door along with the side doors need to be secured this will make my next load way easier thank you and god bless Going to watch Part 2 as well 👍🏽
Thanks for your knowledge bro. This flatbed ain’t for the weak. It’s just work like you said! But thanks again. Used to drive reefer and dry for 4 years. Now I’m an owner Opp, been flatbedding with no tarps for 4 months but looks like the best paying flatbed freight on the load board requires them. Thanks for teaching us the right way
Man thank you so much I am a owner operator but doing flatbed for the very first time tomorrow & definitely needed this video thank you so much you definitely got a sub!
THANKS FOR MAKING IT LOOK SIMPLE, OTHER VIDEOS MADE IT LOOK COMPLICATED, I WILL MOST DEFINITELY USE YOUR TECHNIQUE, THANKS AGAIN!!!!! I START FLATBED NEXT MONTH (MAY) ALSO I'M ASK THE FORKLIFT DRIVER TO PLACE MY TARP ON TOP OF THE LOAD, LOL!!! I'M NOT GOOD WITH HEIGHTS NEITHER, LOL!!!
You just need 2 tarps, there’s a 6 feet tall tarps and 8 feet tall tarps. I have 6 feet tall tarps, you can google tarps in your map area there should be some around you.

70 lbs each
What's up bruh good video question tho do all flatbed companies require you to get your own tarps
If your an owner operator then yes, if your a company driver then no the company should provide it to you.

How long does it take for experienced guy to tarp this size? Thanks
If your very new an hour or more. If you know what you doing. 45 mins

Yes 6 feet drop
very well explained.what size tarps do you recommend to buy and how many?
aim just getting started in flatbedding.
You just need 2 tarps, there’s a 6 feet tall tarps and 8 feet tall tarps. I have 6 feet tall tarps, you can google tarps in your map area there should be some around you.
Would you say 6 ft tarps cover most loads? Still trying to decide between 6 and 8 foot tarps
