- Here is my speech and the Minister's response in this historic debate...
On Tuesday 16th January 2024 I secured an historic debate in Westminster Hall to discuss the vitally important subject of Trends in Excess Deaths.
This debate highlighted many important points including the failure of the Covid Inquiry, the state of the National Health Service, the impact of lockdowns on our young people, the incredible backlogs for diagnosis of life threatening diseases and illnesses such as cancer and heart problems as well as many more subjects.
In October last year, I facilitated an Adjournment Debate in the House of Commons chamber with the same title ‘Trends in Excess Deaths’, this had a huge amount of support from the public and the public gallery of the House of Commons was full. This debate which was held in Westminster Hall this week was attended by more than 25 members and most members weren't able to make all of their points due to the 90 minute time constraints.
Therefore, I feel it is only right due to the popularity of the debate that we have a three hour Backbench Business Debate in the House of Commons.

I'd love for all the other MP's to be questioned by the public and answer the question on why they aren't representing us.
Instead they are doing what their bosses are telling them and try to sweep this under the carpet. They treat us with contempt. All those trying to cover up the excess deaths, want locking up.

The vast majority of our MPs do not deserve their places in parliament. On this issue alone, they have been shown to be liars and cowards.
I watched the whole debate. Its importance should have meant it was held in the full chamber but it was hardly surprising that it was held instead in Westminster Hall, thereby reducing its public impact. Mr. Bridgen used the phrase, "imperious arrogance", during his speech. I thought this was a most appropriate description of both the Tory Health Minister's and the Labour Shadow Health Minister's closing remarks. Full credit, however, to Mr. Bridgen for his persistence and, even more impressive, his bravery.
The Treasonous power structure will do everything and anything to stop a man like this rising in the system. Only cunning deceptive rats rise in the modern political and corporate environment.

To those who say I will be "wasting" my vote, I say that, having lived in the Leeds East constituency a long time, I have been wasting my vote for more years than I care to remember.
I have always voted Tory but am now well past caring what damage a large vote for Reform UK will do to the Tories. They can go to hell.

Thanks for editing out the Labour shadow ministers response. It was a disgraceful display from a labour MP who was totally out of her depth. She refused to take interventions and struggled to read out the pre prepared party political broadcast that someone had given her to read out.
I agree the defense was dreadful and cringeworthy! The Conservative ConMen and Labour will never get my vote.

I tried to get my local member to demand an enquiry, he will not even respond to the request, that is happening nation wide for the vast majority of Aussies who want answers and want an enquiry. Thank you Mr Bridgen. You are so brave in what you are doing. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in part because I was unable to get a GP appointment during covid.
What a honest and truthful man, a great man I have family and friends that died after having the vaccine, I have just retired I never had the vaccine, and was prepared to loose my job

He is a hero and a saint, he constantly stands up for ordinary man, woman and child. He's not only battled for this most important issue which people are so ignorant about but he also foughtva losing battle for the postmasters accused of theft.
