Hey everyone! Really wanted to do a classic tutorial for All My Love as well, not just because it's the official single to go along with MM's release, but, more importantly, because there are significant changes between my own acoustic arrangement, which I put out earlier this month, and the actual studio version - which I obviously didn't know when I worked on my cover, before the album release :D I think it's really interesting that the acoustic guitar for this one is in standard tuning, since in the past, Chris would typically play in alternate tunings or at least use a capo whenever a song was in A-Major (think Life In Technicolor: EADGC#C# or Green Eyes: EADGBD). Since Will plays the acoustic guitar live, I'm almost inclined to believe that he actually wrote this part and played it in the studio as well - since Will loves standard tuning :D I don't think I've ever seen him play in any other tuning but standard except if the song really, really requires an alternate tuning (like God Put... which you couldn't possibly adequately play in standard). Anyways - I digress :D Hope you find this tutorial useful! Do let me know if you have any other questions about All My Love. Next Coldplay-related video of mine will actually *not* be on Moon Music stuff (no worries, I will return to that before long :P) + I also have another *Bon Iver* video queued up :) Stay tuned, folks, appreciate your support as always, and stay safe out there! Cheers Jo

Hey thank you for checking this out and supporting the channel! It means a lot :) I'm excited to get working on the next video 🙂 Have a good and take care - Jo
Thank you so much for this one, Jo. It’s nice to be able to play the accurate version without having to change tuning. I'd love a little mini-tutorial for Jonny’s funky guitar part of Good Feelings (actually Nile Rodger’s part) if you ever check it out!
Thank you so much, Tommy, appreciate it :) Good Feelings incl. all lead guitar parts will definitely happen at some point, since it's my favorite bop from the new album :D Can't wait, honestly! Have a good one and take care - Jo
@@kokakola-l1o Hey thanks for tuning in :) I'm glad you find this helpful. Would love to do Don't Let It... one day - it's my second favorite track off of MX behind Up With The Birds! Thank you for your support and have a great day - Jo
@@ChristelleFEVRE-d9n Thanks a lot, Vincent! Next video will be a short one on Good Feelings, then another one on Bon Iver and after that more Coldplay :D Maybe there'll be time for a few surprises here and there, if I have time - which I never do 😅 Take care and all the best Jo
For sure! I've been meaning to make a video for VLV (the full album) for a long time now - once that's on my desk again, I'll make sure to include sth. on "Death And All..." as well :)

@@micbernard7140 Merci beaucoup, Michel :) Je l'apprécie vraiment.
Hey there! thank you so much :) It depends, really! Ideally, there's live footage. That way, I can see what chord shapes are being used, or if there's a capo etc. Without the visual help, it gets significantly trickier, because then I only have my ears to rely on :D But if you've done this long enough, you can tell after a while which strings seem to be open strings, what are the highest and lowest notes of the chord progression, etc. etc. Since I've analyzed Coldplay music for over two decades now (jeez, I know... :D), I think I've developed a pretty good intuition for how Chris' brain works as a guitarist :D And there are a lot of recurrent patterns and tunings, so yeah... there's that! At the end of the day, it often is just educated guessing still! I'm not a psychic after all lol :P So like with this one, I just put a few pieces together (visual aid from live footage and auditory analyis) and see if it feels right at the end. Sorry for the longwinded answer! But I do hope I've cleared things up :) All the best to you and take care - Jo
