I own a part time soft-roader, Freelander 2 and i watch a lot of off-roading channels and think "I wonder if mine could do that, it's a maybe for sure" With this video i thought... "Well i could get there, and drive straight home..."
Good Video and Commentary! My Ranger has a Pedders Lift and 32" tyres but like you said the long wheel base doesn't help the double cabs and stock side steps are more of a hinderance. Currently I'm in the market to replace them for something more functional! But on the whole for a truck that is more geared towards 'long range travel' the Ranger impressed me, first time on the lane as well so self confidence in my equipment has increased! Looking at Pig Lane though glad the boys got cranky and we had to leave early 😆
It’s simply a voluntary restraint and benefits for multiple reasons; firstly being it keeps everyone traffic flowing in the same direction as there are little to no passing places, secondly it’s because it keeps everyone safer that have never done the lane before as it’s a safer direction of travel for that lane. It doesn’t mean we can’t drive it and stop whilst a couple attempt some of the obstacles in reverse
Ironic that several of the trails shown on this video, have now been permanently closed, due to the amount of damage caused by 4WD morons...........................
The most backward off-roading I’ve ever seen! Buy one of the most unreliable land rovers ever made that your afraid to damage then load your roof rack with more crap than a camel trophy car and go off-roading for the day 🤷🏻♂️
Completely backwards I know, it’s almost embarrassing! Don’t worry, we won’t bother stepping out and doing it again until you’ve sent through your ‘how to off-road properly’ guide, we’ll remain sat behind a keyboard watching others until it’s safe!
Good to see a group with respect for your vehicles. Good vid thanks 👍🏻
Defender 90's and modded TD5 Discos are the real boys, toys !!

50 Psi? Are u sure thats right? That sounds dangerously high to me.
Agreed pal
Would you ever go back to an Amarok?
Absolutely! I think off-road they’re totally underrated and I miss the space. A V6 Manual would be my choice

*easiest lane in wales 👀👀👀👀
Definitely easiest lane maybe 10years ago it was a bit more challenging…😉👍
Too much selfie at 29:00
4:00 in, no seatbelt?? Hope that was on private land.
You have some serious m 3 n t a l problem...
