- We found an apartment!!! It was a rollercoaster of a process but we are so thankful to have a new place to call home here in seoul!

can you share the realtor company you used? :)
do all realtors there speak english or do you have to specifically ask for someone that speaks english?
We went through Seoul Homes! Someone here had recommended them so we just. contacted them about a specific listing on their site and a realtor was assigned to it! (Fair warning, not all the listings on their site are still available, and there are listings not on their site that they have access to, so it's best to just get in contact with someone to start!)

Were you able to rent an apartment without an arc card? I know you need an address to apply for your arc.
Yes! We were able to use our passports as our ID to sign our rental contract for the apartment before we received our ARC cards! (When we applied for our ARC cards we hadn’t yet moved into our new apartment so we used our temporary Airbnb address for the cards and then had to change our address once we moved into our current apartment)
Thx. Did they let you do a foreign transfer for the deposit? Moving soon and wondering how to pay the fees since you can’t open a bank account without an arc
@@pegster619 We actually just brought enough cash with us to live until we opened a bank account to make sure that process was as simple as possible. That included our deposit! So I'm not 100% sure about international transfers unfortunately!
