The hills are alive with the sound of Catherine O'Hara. And I LOVE these hills.. let's sing a song about it !
Catherine is brilliant here.....as always.
Phil is so savage here
I'm probably very much in the minority in saying this, but I think that Melanie Hutsell, more often than not, gives good performances in her various sketch appearances, including this one. Plus, she has a cute smile! That said, great performances from Catherine, Phil, and Julia!
She was a great Jan Brady, "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!!"
@@aliensoup2420 - I like her sorority girl and how comedically worked up she would get about things.
Why is it in every SNL comments section has these messages where everyon has to make themselves out to be an outcast for liking one of the cast members?
@@kevinbissingerhuh?
this was the best SNL cast
As always Phil Hartman is incredible 😆😆😆😆
In my opinion this is their golden age. 90s
Ok this is perfect lol and Sound of Music is my fave movie of all time
5:00 Is the best bit...
Catherine O'Hara deserves an oscar (emmy done) a grammy and a tony !!
I remembered the general premise and final song of this sketch...
The house at the beginning is the Rags to Riches house. ❤️ Best TV show ever.
Ah Moira Rose! Kevin!
And who could forget Cookie Fleck?
lol... I swear: If these aren't the Von Trapps 30 years later...
iconic
If Michael O'Donaghue was still writing on SNL, the sketch would have ended with the entire family beating Nanny to death. But no risks anymore.
Yeah. There's just not enough violence in the world anymore
@@katc5051 psst--there is a big difference between pretend violence and real violence
Is this supposed to be Sound of Music?
And Mary Poppins
Rest in Peace Philly.
Also today is Sunday June 26th 2022 , this last week with the outcome of Roe vs. Wade.... Just made me feel sad about how upset she was telling her family that she is pregnant and the boyfriend who got her pregnant left her because he didn't want the child... Such a depiction of the way shit really is that and today...
Idk I have many different feelings and opinions on abortion and the f'd up politics behind it... Makes me sick to my stomach....
I didn't realise snl was so old :-)
1992 isn't that old.
Mid '70's old.
@@marie_of_the_lanes the inception was 1975-76, and I been watching it ever since.
CATIE OH. TOP 5 ALL TIME IN CARRER RBI'S AND STEALS.
Oh for God's sake the gunshot with Phil Hartman in the room I don't like this ..although it was fucking hilarious
