I can understand why it would be, I guess from a broader, more abstract perspective. But they’re also just points. They’re not planets. That’d be like saying one Ascendant or midheaven point is exalted, which isn’t a thing.
What if it is a malefic planet that conjuncts the south node? Let's say mars conjunct south node in the 7th, does that mean doomed to not be in relationship because too independent and too much of a combative nature?

What sign does your ascendant and descendant fall into? That’s super important to know to understand more of how your Mars with play out.
