@@OskarJohansson1 I feel like it was so hard because you are on the 899. I am a relative notice foiler with the FD+ and im able to get up easily using the 1150/1310 on a 40L, without paddling. The 1300 is considerably harder to get up as you need more speed. The 899 would need insane speed to get up in comparison
@@apricotscrub Oh you are totally right! I knew I could get up straight away and without a paddle with a bigger wing, but that wouldn't show how much more power the assist plus would have over the standard version ;)
Body weight must make a huge difference. My 4'8" Camet 80 Lt with Lift HA 120 or 90 gets on foil with 70 % max throttle thrust or less lake or Ocean swell. No paddle or paddling.I'm onlyt 55 kg. That paddle up looks brutal. Good on you though
I haven't yet, but also don't have a foil drive anymore to try it with 😢. I also didn't have a long enough cable to try this with. It sounds like a lot of fun with the prone board though!
It's a board I made myself, 4'2" x 22" x 5 1/4" (maybe 75L). It is honestly like a bar of soap, very square rails and outline. It works, but it is pretty hard to get up on foil even for winging. It just doesn't have much planning surface. I have since gone down to a 4'8" Armstrong board at 50L and it is significantly easier to get up even though it is lower in volume.
@@OskarJohansson1 We've just released new pod for Axis Power Carbon range, we have one pod for higher positions and a separate pod for flatwater foil driving due to the tapered mast shape!
hi oscar. awesome video. dw looks awesome. do you know how thick the ha1325 and ha925 are? i have made 2 wings based on those, but I'm not sure if they are too thick or too thin compared to the real ones. and one more question, I'm planning on making my own dw board, what do you think are the most important aspects for a good board(bottom, outline, etc)? thanks and sorry for making so many questions.

have you tried it on your axis power carbon mast? does the motor not go up high enough?
I haven’t actually… I don’t have a pod for that setup. Would be interested to try it though.
