THANK YOU!!! I did this today on my ML350 2010 replaced both headlight assemblies...and it worked like a charm quick and easy . I didn’t even remove all you did but came close. I really appreciate your video saved me hella money
This was really helpful. I amanaged to replace all bulbs, with ease, on my ML. I removed the light cluster, exchanged all bulbs and re-assembled in reverse order. Thanks for saving me a bunch of time (and expense)!!!
Do you have a video or pic of what your screws and clips looked like? I have this same exact problem now and my screws are rusted. Didn’t wanna break them till I get new ones but want to make sure I’m getting the correct ones for this
Where the front end connected to the fender is a pain. One bolt, push it into the wheel well and then pull to the rear of the car. I have an 06 ML500. I just replaced the radiator and the parking lamp bulbs while I had it apart.
I undid those 3 headlight bolts, 3 wheel liner plastic rivets, the bumper bolt, the 4 top grill bolts and the headlight is loose, but the bumper does not come forward and the headlight is trapped in place. How did you pull the bumper out so far, and are there any other bolts I missed that are not shown in the video?
Mine had a heavy "clamp" that was about 5" long that clamped the top of the bumper to the bottom edge of the fender. Once you remove the Torx screw (at the 1 minute mark in the video) you have to pull the "clamp" off. I used a pair of angled needle nose pliers and shoved it horizontally inward towards the engine. THEN everything else came apart. I was a LOT frustrated until I found the clamp mentioned on another video. Sorry it's 3 years too late. :)
Good Video, Question , Looks to be the exact setup on my 2010 ml-350 , So their are only the 2 top bolts holding in lamp, Are their any bolts underneath or no......Thanks John
Best way is to remove the tire and wheel wells calling and the bolts for the bumper and grill then start the process. When you take the calling off there is a screw shown in the video to remove inside the wheel well holding the bumper together. On 2007 model there is a bar that holds the bumper and quarter panel together that has to be removed also to split the bumper and quarter panel. The bolts at the top front of the quarter panel should also be removed also. Have fun
Hi guys. No need to remove bumper or something else, i change my ballast true fog lamp hole.!!! You have to remove fog lamp, and headlight wash sprayer 5 or 6 bolts in total! save yourself a lot of work and time
Dont make it look and sound easy because why dont you show the right side ? The bolt is almost 3 inchs long presses againest the bumper during removal installation the bumper had to be removed to install that one bolt . So your video was misleading to im sure then just me . Inform the viewers about those button pins how to remove those .Please no more videos .

Holy f*cking hell. That damn bracket that holds the bumper to the fender was a pain in the ass.

John, yes 2 bolts on top and at 47 seconds I show another one that's located in the back bottom of the lamp.
hey great video, thank you for sharing. so does this work on the right side, too? there seems to be much less space around the headlight..
Denis Kljunic did you end up getting it
