I saw a man who had this sort of condition and got multiple surgeries to correct it. It was an amazing documentary! Hope he is living an amazing life, now! You can find it on UA-cam.
and that last scene just proves the issues with a for profit healthcare system. no one wants to invest in the people's well being, only in their bank balance.
@@Altoryu right?! I can't imagine trying to put off going to ER if I was super sick because I would know it would bankrupt me. Canada's system has a LOT of flaws (no dental or meds, for example) BUT I can walk into any walk-in, any MD, any hospital, and get life saving treatment at ZERO cost to me.
@@Romzylicious I had a kidney stone when I was nineteen. Something like 1 in 10 men will have one during their lifetime. Under the American system, the cost to me for the tests and overnight stay I had would have been $20,000. And if they used an ultrasonic machine to break up the stone; another $10,000. The ultrasonic machine only costs $50,000. So after it's fifth patient, it's just gushing cash for the American hospital. I looked up the real cost of the tests I received. Blood and urine tests plus X-rays came out to around £1000, so a little less than $1300. But the American hospital would charge $20,000...
As neurotic as Dr Abrams seems. he is a very good doctor and very straight to the point. Downey in his final episode says that abrams has a good bedside manner. Ergo a no non sense approach to healthcare unlike others who make rash or too based on emotion.
As a premed neuroscience student on the spectrum, Dr. Abrams strikes me as someone similar to myself, likely with what people call “high-functioning” ASD, more similar to Asperger’s although that term is no longer used diagnostically in the current edition of the DSM. He comes off as blunt and perhaps rude to neurotypical people and perhaps doesn’t express his emotions in the same way as others, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care.
Wow im an idiot! So this….isnt the first time i see marcel in these clips. This IS the first time i realize that marcel & rhodes arent the same person or actor. I was so confused with them saying dr marcel & was like that’s just rhodes but younger. Who tf is marcel? Looked it up & finally figured it out 🤣

I think I’ve seen that. He was from china? I can’t remember correctly and he was basically folded in half. Hope he’s doing ok
That's who it's based on lol
I wouldn't be surprised if what you're referring to is the exact "multiple surgeries in China" they allude to in this episode.
there is a true story a guy that was bent over man after 28 year stands up after he has surgery amazing
He was being a good doctor telling the patient what's happening not the camera

It's why I am glad I live in a country that has universal health care

The surgery marcel mentioned in china is based on an actual case, most likely the inspiration of this case
Yes I am aware of the case. The young man was 19 as well.
this video hits pretty close to home, as someone who has a sibling with this condition it puts me at high risk to develop it too
i hope they get better soon xx
the real story is the man wanted to get better so he didn't have to burden his mother
wait this is a case of a real man's documentary
wow these inspos are actually great
Reminds me of the folded Man
I was ment to be doing my homework but sneaked on and watched this insted this was worth it
Focus more on school. Your spelling not good.
Stay in school
A good man doesn't give himself publicity for doing a good deed. An narcissist give himself all the praise and adulation possible.
There’s a guy who actually had this and through many surgeries he got to straighten.
Well done to the doctors 👏👏
I love Dr Marcel ♥️

I feel like the whole 2.0 storyline is just contorting the cast into capitalist schills and I'll be happy to see it end
Nahhh i might be playing too much Genshin cause I didn't even realise you were talking about this video ☠️ i thought it was the Inazuma update-
