1- You should as for a replacement screen at the apple store if it is less than 1 year old
2- buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse (Logitech) so you can close the computer and have a real workstation

Nja, kan inte säga att skärmen är den bästa. Jag har en likadan, gick på 2500:- medan det finns datorskärmar för 13000+

dude you probably didn't break the screen. book genius appointment. go to apple store. get graphics card changed. charm them into changing for free (known issues especially if your MacBook is not that old to warrant hardware malfunction already. breathe again. resume kick ass vlogs! x
I couldn't help but laugh when you pulled out the duct tape. I have the same problem where my hdmi cord has a loose connection going into the port on my laptop, caused by the hdmi cord being heavy duty and about 3/8" thick. Get's really annoying lol

Technical question: how long does it take you to render/export your vlogs? I tried a 2 minute video (102MB) and it took me about 30 minutes :(

You can actually use your iphone or ipad as second screen for Macbook with an app called DUET via lightning cable. Search for that app and you will see.
if you connect a external keyboard and mouse you can close the lid on the computer while using it
Jon has the screens duplicated, you can dim the brightness to 0 and the screen goes black, or you can set it to only external monitor and it uses the resolution of the external

If you like the "tortilla de patatas" try the one with onions. I'm spanish and bread with tomatoe printed (catalan "pa amb tomaquet") and a "tortilla de patatas con cebolla" is one of the best sandwiches ever created!!

As you already have bought an external screen, I would suggest you get at least an external mouse too or mouse + keyboard. You should be more effective and save some time, when editing at home, that way :). By the way, it's impressive how you didn't give up, with only half a screen working, being on road, and those software activation problems :). An attitude we should all have I guess. Keep it up, awesome vlogs!
Nice setup and good vlog ;) Everytime I start editing on my big monitors 🖥 it's a luxury compared to the laptop and then everything feels so small when I go back. 💻🐒

I'm pretty sure, you can just turn down the lights on the screen of your MacBook so that it won't bother you when you edit :-) At least that's what I do when I connect another screen to mine. Keep up the wonderful work. So good!
What brand are your prescription glasses
Jon, Buy an apple tv and connect it to the tv, then you can airplay your macbook on the tv wireless. It is easy to take it with you where ev er you go aswell, assuming you got a tv with HDMI at the places you are travelling.
Get yourself an external keyboard and mouse as well mate, speeds up your editing process to much! Working on two screens is already a massive step up since Premiere also supports a dual-screen setup. Makes the work space so much better to utilize :D

@Jon tips för inställningar när extern skärm är inkopplad till din MBP.
1. På datorn gå till System preferences >> Displays >> Arrangement när den externa skärmen är inkopplad.
2. Klicka ur Mirror Displays (checkbox). Detta för att dator och skärm har olika upplösning, du får ut mer av din externa skärm om du inte dubblerar.
3. Mitt i inställningarna ser du nu två blå rutor. Detta illustrerar förhållandena till de två skärmarna, den mindre är din dator och den större är din externa skärm. Drar dem till det förhållande som du föredrar.
4. På samma två blå rutor ser du en vit list, den bestämmer vilken skräm som är huvudskärm, dra över listen till den stora skärmen, din externa skräm blir nu huvudskärm.
5. Gå till display fliken och se till att du har högsta upplösning för din externa skärm.
6. Om du köper till tangentbord och mus kan du fälla ihop datorn när den externa skärmen är inkopplad och du har ström kopplat till datorn.
