- Yamaha tends to make some really cool products and while we all love their motorcycles, the push to make interesting scooters is always a good idea. At the center of it all are two hybrid scooters, the Fascino 125 and the RayZR 125. Look at the spec sheet and the numbers are astonishingly similar. What's different then? Shumi and Varun Painter are back and how!

You guys need to stop acting and get back to reviewing. Here's what all you got wrong in this one:
1) SMG does NOT stand for Starter Motor Generator. The correct term is "Smart Motor Generator".
2) Even the "non hybrid" has SMG. That's responsible for that auto start/stop function.
3) The only thing that's new is the addition of Power Assist, which is nothing but the "added" Logic that triggers the SMG to "assist" the engine for just 3 seconds upon sensing "load". For those 3 seconds it stops acting as a generator, and assists as a motor. Hence the term Smart Motor Generator.
4) It kicks in ONLY ON INCLINES. The Power Assist light comes on when it's active. It doesn't do anything on a flat surface. Therefore, it doesn't "improve" 0-60 acceleration or ingear acceleration.
4) The Ray-ZR hybrid does NOT have more torque than the Fascino Hybrid. The power and torque figures are absolutely the same for both scooters.
Again, chuck the theatrics, and get back to reviewing, even if that involves revisiting the basics of how motorcycles/scooters work 🙏

I have a rayzr (not hybrid, but rode hybrid once) both the vehicles are good and hybrid is better. I ride between 60- 90 and yet it gives me good mileage.
Actually I used to work as service incharge in Yamaha and rode all bikes below 250cc. Yamaha bikes are good handling bikes. Even aerox is good in handling.
Sir Ray zr 125 hybrid suspension is soft or stiffer please tell me for 100km ride
@@karthiauto9062stiff suspension gives good handling feedback in high speeds and cornerings and soft suspension is suitable for very low speeds and also gives back-ache if used long time. Stiff suspension is always good for all vehicles as they become soft at high speeds automatically.

Just wanted to tell you guys, the mic used for recording to review vehicle while on an open road like this and many more is not great to hear, feels like it has very less clarity, please upgrade it for a better one, also the background music while you guys are not speaking (intro video) is very loud compared to your review voice, makes us increase and decrease volume all the time, thank you🤘🏻
Ntorq and Vespa are better 125 material than any scooter in the Indian market right now

@@vroombk Vespa is also pretty good, I have done a ride from Lucknow to mussoorie with it, but NTorq is unbeatable in terms of long rides, Lucknow to Kathmandu, Lucknow to Delhi, Lucknow to Chandigarh, Lucknow to Manali, she has done it all, I love my NTorq ❤️
@@adeebchand ntorq i agree but vespa not so much. The refinement and reliability of vespa is lower than the current 125cc segment and i dont particularly like them because of their weight and handling characteristics. Thats just my opinion, vespa's retro looks cant be matched though
Nice video as always... A quick note to the editor team.. Varun's voice, in this video, was a bit louder.. I was watching it in my home.. so I ended up decreasing my volume when he was speaking and then increasing again when shumi was speaking...
Other than that.. you guys have clearly mastered the art of providing information in the most creative ways.. ❤️

Im not PD but ill throw in my experience. The jupiter is more of a mainstream scooter, in the sense that it is more practical, more head over heart decision. It is a very good scooter but nothing that stands out that much. The fascino is more stylish and more fun to ride while sacrificing a bit on practicality so it depends on what you require from a scooter

Before EV revolution we need to pioneer the hybrid vehicles. This way of transition period will help later on in EV innovations.

Why is it none of these automotive youtube channels ever talk about stuff that is not in the brochure? The suspensions on these are typical old fashioned monoshocks with hydraulic oil that get really hard over a period of time in comparison to Nitrox suspension setups like the ones made by Gabriel on Jupiter 125. None of these expert auto Youtoobers even talk about stuff like this or other internals. It seems like you guys just go over the brochure, put on your riding gear, do one test ride, do a braking test, and that's it. Just saying "stiff suspension" or "set to the firmer side" just won't cut it. Even I can say that with a test ride. I appreciate your reviews, but it is high time you guys went deeper than just make shallow videos like these. Please take this as constructive feedback from someone who has been watching you guys since you started on YT.

On paper these scooter should appeal more to the indian buyer but yamaha's sales and service is letting them down , at least in my city which has seen 3 dealership changes in the past 10 years.

I see a few Yamaha scooters here and there in Pune. But then I see lot more Duet's that them too. The older fascino was much better looking from all angles, new one's tail section looks atrocious to me. Anyway I'm still rocking our Duet.
