@matt Lol okay, no need to rain on people's parades. Sure, have your opinion but music isn't meant to be so constricted to the present... We literally live an in age where you can look up super old songs that's the parents of the kids these days weren't even alive for... You're narrow-minded. Music is to be all-consumed. Enjoy this era.
29 (30 in May) and I agree! I wasn't really cognizant around this time but 90's music has a way of being like a time machine and taking me back to simpler times (I'm also recently experiencing this with 00's music too).
@matt You sound like your past was incredibly rubbish or you never lived through the 90s for you to know how good it was. A lot of people here had the best of memories in the 90s (me included) and most times we’d love to relive those moments through music, movies, games and other mediums. I was exercising to a playlist with that song when my 4 year old wandered in and heard it and thought it was a very funny song. So funny that he would randomly yell SHAKE THAT HEALTHY BUTT every so often in public until he forgot about it.
For some reason when my little sister was about 5-6 years old she was obsessed with 'No Rain'- she was way too young to understand it was a more sad/somber song but she just thought it was catchy so she'd get all excited whenever it came on. When I've asked her if she remembers how much she loved it now she has no clue what I'm talking about but the song has a spot in my heart having such a funny memory from when she was little 😂

I love the fact that Chumbawumba’s Tubthumping is a song that teaches people not to give up no matter what happens. The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t gonna ruin any of my dreams!

Oh man you got me to comment twice in one video. The Macarena was taught to us in elementary school. We even performed it for out families. It was one of my safest moments of life till recently when my sister and my oldest niece realized it worked for where song in 4/4 time.
Whoomp! There It Is was a great hype song of 90s. Don't get me started on the duo's brief cameo in that Geico ad. It's just that good. And, let's not forget "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals. Totally rad song to embrace your independence in your teens and ponder life in many ways.

@Dominick Ruocco From a musical standpoint, I completely agree with your view. However, when you look at other things, such as TV shows, movies, games, etc., a debate can be certainly sparked.
I love love love this!! I graduated high school and got married in the 90s. I still know all of these songs by heart. You can add "Rebirth of Slick (Cool like Dat)," by Diggable Planets to the next one. I can't leave that out of any 90s playlist.
...can I add "Who let the dogs out", the Bow Wow boys. Blur, Song 2. I think the lead singer from OMC died from kidney failure, and the rest of the group disbanded. The Verve and Macy Playground bring back memories ❤️
I miss the 90's. The music - all of the genre's had real generational artists emerge in the 90's. The cars. The styles. The movies/TV shows. It really was a great decade to grow up in and look back on in so many ways.

Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” is still one of the best hip hop and also the funniest songs ever made.
Then I got high, is a close second.(funny wise)
And when others use his song I'm sure he is still getting paid 💰
