Olga, your positive energy and big smile will get you through anything.
Thanks ;-)
This resiliency makes sure Ukrainian as an identity carries on
Greetings from Australia. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦
I’m another Aussie totally agree glory to Ukraine
Do you feel energy prices there?
@@ant318 yes but not as high as Europe
Some great points were made by Olga and Artur. Despite the depressing reports we see on TV and social media, life goes on. Not everyone is huddled in dark basements all the time. Olga's positivity is good for her children.
i’m kazakh and uzbek living in america and everytime you talk about something like pelmeni or borsht it always makes me feel connected even if i might not be as slavic. I enjoy your content and it informs me of what is truly happening in the world. As I watch your content I feel like what’s happening in ukraine could happen to my family back in kazakhstan and Uzbekistan even Russia too so i thank you for your commitment to providing facts and information about this topic happening in the post soviet world, thank you Artur ❤
dear Artur you always start to shine being with somebody talking, i love it, i can see your joy in your eyes ... you were born to talk with people, the podcast is amazing
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 . Thank you both for your insight info to what it's like to live and survive this horrible war in Ukraine! Much respect to you both! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
ZOV, the russian intervention is just, russia fights a just war, God will help russia win, ZOV, from ireland
Thanks so much my brother I am sierra leone west Africa. May almighty Allah bless the people of ukraine
Thank you! ❤️
I've been a monthly supporter of Artur since the invasion started.
You've had so many good guests so quickly! After Ukraine wins back its territory, I hope you are able to find more people to tell their stories for Western audiences.
We ignored the warnings of Ukrainians and Balitic nations about Russia, and I fear we have made the same mistake ignoring other people, too. But one crisis at a time.
An interesting interview. After watching it, I'm betting that Olga's spirit animal is an entire flock of hummingbirds. I'm thoroughly jealous of her energy. Her positivity and drive are admirable.
Thank you so much!
I like Olga's channel, she is always pretty positive and her daughter is silly and speaks very good English.
What a wonderful guest. Olga is a longtime UA-camr (Ukrainian lessons 7 years ago). She is very amiable, and has made a lot of nice videos.
True....
Thank you so much!
There should have been a lot more English speaking Ukrainian vloggers before the war. Like Starsky said in a Johnny FD video, marketing sucked.
@@Olga_Reznikova thank you ,too, the world needs Olga R.....
The modern Day ....Artur of the Britons ....
I'm in Canada and right now we are having a major snowstorm. I have a friend who lives next door to me and he's got a generator on his balcony in case we lose power. Thank you both , Olga, you are an inspiration, and, of course you too Artu. What a wonderful podcast today! Thanks 😊
In many places in the world, snow and cold like minus -20 C is completely normal, and nothing to write home about. I grew up in a place where we often had -35 or more in winter, so it’s about attitude and experience. And preparation. I’m being a little condescending towards ‘preppers’ but it makes sense to be prepaired for a power blackout or a storm or drought.
Yea Judith, I’m also in Canuckistan and we’re getting absolutely hammered by this storm right now too (and have been for just shy of 24 hours)! This is the second big one we’ve got this year, with the first one happening a month before we even normally see any snow, and we got almost 1.5 meters (or over 4 feet) overnight with that one... Thankfully it completely melted before we started getting our normal snow accumulation around the 10th of December.
But this storm is definitely gonna be one for the record books in my region for sure! I’m not kidding when I say I have a 9 foot tall snowdrift right across my driveway, and my basement walkout going to the gazebo with our hot tub is completely filled and packed with snow, covering the tub and another 8-10 feet above it to the roof of the gazebo itself!!! The back door looks like what you’d see in commercials where when you open it, it’s basically all snow (although in our case there’s about a foot of space at the top where we can still see daylight)... lol 😂
I don’t even know where to begin to clean this mess, and it’s still a complete whiteout with the snow falling! 😂
You can buy buckwheat in the international foods section of supermarkets in the USA. My wife is Jewish and likes it. We discovered recently that her ancestors came from Ukraine to New York City 100 years ago. They lived in Galicia, which became part of Ukraine.
I thought the UK was just like the US cause we have shops and stores everywhere you look and you can actually walk there.
Not to change the subject:Yes theres definitely a lot of Jewish in new york and I literally found this out recently.ive also heard and seen videos of the Jewish community being attacked for no reason there.im here in Louisiana and we don't treat people that way no matter where they come from.Is this something your wife has to worry about there?
@@jayp8130 We live 70 miles north of NYC, but my wife grew up in Brookly and Massapequa Long Island. She never had an issue. There are probably 2 million Jewish people in the New York area, so if you hear of a few being beaten up, it is a small minority. Also, the ones who get beat up probably are Hasidic, which means they wear black clothing, unusual black hats, and have sidburn curls. My wife is not religious. Neither am I. She dresses like every other woman in this country. By the way, Hasidic women do not look any different either. By the way. I was raised Catholic, thought Hasidic Jews were weird, and never knew anything about them until I watched this video. ua-cam.com/video/4YTmrCLeidc/v-deo.html A Christian UA-camr is taken around to various places and events by an Hasidic guy. I can say now without reservation that they are as cool as you or me. Some traditions are their own, but we all have traditions. They are as American as you or I and I have ancestors on the Mayflower, fought in the Revolution and Civil War, and one that even founded Concord, Mass.
Thank you, Artur, for yet another enlightening discussion, and thank you very much, Olga, for taking time out of your incredibly hectic schedule to speak to all of us about your experiences as an Ukrainian expatriate during this very difficult time. Your resilience and optimism is inspiring. I wish you the very best, Olga, and-of course-you as well, Artur. Slava Ukraini!
Thank you for watching!
@@Olga_Reznikova The pleasure was truly mine. You have an unique voice and an invaluable perspective. I look forward to hearing more on your own channel.
Walking up 25 flights of stairs is a real pain, but you adjust. The thing that struck me is a lady, from I think it was Mikoliv, sorry I am from the United States and all of those names sound the same to me, was collecting water with a gallon jug from a tap. She looked in her 70s to me. She said "I will do this every day for the rest of my life as long as those bastards don't reach Mikoliv". She sounded like she meant it. Humans have a remarkable ability to adjust to the situation. You adjust to what is really important to you. If you have to walk up 25 flights of stairs, you do it. If you don't have heat you wear a lot of cloths. If the stove is unreliable you get food you don't have to cook.
I read something from the German occupation of Paris that made me laugh. The residents were forced to use bicycles. By the time they were liberated, many were fit, while the occupiers were not.
Great to watch two of my favorite people on UA-cam. Fantastic perspective on the war and life in Ukraine.
Excellent pod cast. I really learned a lot from it. Thank you both!
Very bright and cheereful woman.
I really love your podcasts, and Olga - wow - so much positivity!
This podcast keeps getting better and better. thank you for doing this, Cant wait for you and Denny to talk
To add to what it’s like living in Kiev, where I lived two years in 2016-17, much of it on or very near Kreschatyk Street (first building next to Maidan and Kiev Arch on other side), and this is a very fun, vibrant active place with great food and a cafe culture. Modern and still reverent of its past. Fantastic place.
Best way to fight terrorists, continue you're lives and show no fear.
Such positivity. I really need to work on my positivity. Awesome interview.
Olga’s a great gal. I’ve watched her videos occasionally long before the war (at times where they’d appear in the recommended and touched subjects I had a curiosity with) and she’s demonstrated time and time again that she’s got a good head on her shoulders, and is really in tune with what’s going on in the world. And for being a mom of 2 plus having her hands in a whole bunch of pies (avenues of work and relationships), it’s pretty amazing that she has time to sleep, let alone be so bright spirited and positive - even under such dire circumstances...
Great podcast Artur! It’s nice that you’ve conducted this interview with a regular citizen, and not someone navigating the inner workings of the war.. 👍
Thank you so much for your nice words!
@@Olga_Reznikova No thanks needed Olga. I’m just saying what I think...😊 And now when I ‘think’ of it, I can remember as far back to when you still had black hair!! 😂 That’s how long it’s been since I first saw you and watched one of your videos!
Anyways, I was going to do it on your channel, but since I’m writing to you now - I’d like to wish you and your family a happy and safe Christmas, whether you celebrate it tomorrow (today), on January 7th, or BOTH!!! 😊 I know that Ukraine and many Ukrainians have switched calendars now (to Gregorian - leaving I believe ruSSia as the only country left using the Julian format)... I hope Santa is good to you and your kids this year! 🎅 Take care.
Hello Olga and Artur, good to see you are both alive and well. Thanks for your video. Merry Christmas )))
Anna from Ukraine is another good channel
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Olga. As to heating, a cousin in Quebec Province lived in a home that was built in the 1800s. It had a large stove in the middle, next to a wall that was on hinges. When it was severely cold, you swung the wall to a position that made the heated living space smaller. The house was all modernized, but they kept the quirky historic things.
Greetings, Artur! Welcome, Olga!
Olga is very bright with great energy. Have followed her for years and done business with her company
Greetings from Los Angeles, California, USA, Artur!!
Greetings from Yorktown Virginia USA. Olga, I hope you will be able to go home to a non Russin Ukraine soon. Thanks for sharing. I like your podcasts Mr. Artur.
Greetings from Mclean Virginia. I really like Artur's podcasts and his other youtube channel also.
Looking forward to the Battle of Yorktown, Ukrainian style.
God bless you my brother you are the best
Great interview! ❤🎉
Good grief. My Czech father was born in 1914. When I was a kid he told me how people in Prague and other cities could survive during war time was because they had family and friends in villages in the country side. With that they had some chance of getting heat and food. It's scary that 100 years later we have grown to live in such fragile infrastructure, like apartment blocks that are cold and unliveable when the electric goes off and the lifts don't work.
🙏🕊🌻🔱🎄🎅 Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄🔱🌻🕊🙏
Super interesting podcast. I loved every moment of it. Keep up the good work!
Artur great interview. Elevators are a big disaster? At least you have stairs to walk up.
Love to see Olga here.
Thank you Olga and Artur … great interview with Olga … I been following her channel for 6 years and she has great information for travel and investments in property Thank you … Slava Ukraine
It is often forgotten how English has become such an international language. Neither, Artur or Olga are native English speakers, but they are communicating very effectively in a foreign language for them. English speaking has such a global reach today.
I remember when UK left the EU, and only Ireland and Malta were left as English speaking countries there was a movement, mainly by France, to deemphasize English in the official communications. However French was not a language used by other countries so English was retained.
I enjoy both Artur and Olga's attitudes during this time. Olga is especially positive given the war and friends and family that are suffering.
Waiting for this podcast to dropped for I have something to listen too while shovelling 17cm of snow. Respect artur rom canada
Same! We only got 10-12cm of snow here in Chicago, but lots of blowing snow and cold.
Artur you are wrong about Germany they have done the absolute minimum to help Ukraine they have also not been living up to their nato obligations thier not truly trust worthy and Olga has a beautiful smile I couldn't look away great vibe she put off
Hello Artur and Olga..I have been following Olga for many years and occasionally chime in to say hello on her UA-cam or Instagram.
I'm now a big admirer of You too Artur..Olga is very excitingly animated but that's what I love about her...I was honestly a little worried if you could get a few questions in but your podcast went well..👍I enjoyed seeing both of you together chatting about news events and life stories

I love Olga, I've learned alot about beautiful ukraine, her blog is missed, stay safe , Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
Olga, Nice Christmas tree, thank you for sharing your world, from your beliefs down to the simple Christmas tree. Thank you.
Ukraine has Puzata Hata, they actually do not need crappy food chains while their "fast food" chains are the most awesome ever.
Floor Heating!!! Something most Americans do not have. We have forced air heating, but thinking floor heating would be more efficient and comfortable!!
In Poland we even have heating pumps that use enegry from ground to heat during winter and cool down during summer. It's installed in 85% of new houses.
Artur thank Olga that was a good video you are spot on when it comes to the positive energy Olga puts off its Saturday morning this is first video for the day and I feel so chipper thanks Olga Slava Ukraini
Love watching Olga's channel. She is always so upbeat and has interesting and thought-provoking things to talk about.
Arthur and Olga are two great youtubers, and I would say also two of the best youtubers when it comes to Russian and Ukrainian circumstances and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I think also the chemistry between these two people in this podcast was great,it was very interesting to see their views and the questions, the 50 minutes went very fast here. I admire both of your energies and all the effort and the quality in your channels and podcast. Keep the great work up..
Happy Christmas and Happy New year to you both..the Russians belong to the Internet research agency in St Petersburg Russia also called the Russian troll factory
Seconded
Thanks Artur for your interesting guest. Glory to Ukraine 🙏 🇺🇦 💛 💙
Artur, another great interview. You really do a good job. Olga is a breath of free air and watching her video's from the past she is quite intelligent and very accomplished. And you brought out great stories from her. It is funny to hear about McDonalds and the way they are worshipped in yours and other eastern countries. We have so many different fast food companies that have an equal menu to McDonalds so not so unique for us.
But thanks for the video, you do a really good job doing it. Which is really something because you don't look that smart. I mean that in a good way.
Thank you again.
Olga, you are lovely, and your upbeat nature is infectious. You are a great credit and representative for your country. Left me smiling, and frankly, that's rare when you are someone trying to gain insight into what's happening in Ukraine, and keep up with what is going on there. Slava Ukraine, and may her citizens thrive through this awful war.
Johnny FD is in Kyiv and shows us what life is like there now.
outstanding pod
Oh Olga. All those things you miss from Ukraine, like little shops, vegetable markets, local pharmacies, a life you can live without a car, etc we used to have in England. Thirty or forty years ago. A distant memory from my childhood. Sadly the onslaught of big business, basically capitalism, globalisation, destroyed all of that. Leaving the wasteland you see in England today. Save the precious Polish and other ethnic stores that survive. The same happened to America a couple of decades before. I am very worried that this is the future for Ukraine when it is "rebuilt" after the war. A culture gone forever. I do hope you and others can return and ensure this does not happen.
Merry Christmas Brother!
I would be speechless too, with that eye candy 💙💛
5:00 exactly is something not planned so is more complicated :'((.... Olga God bless you, your family and all Ukrainians! 😊🤗😘😚❤💚💚 thanks Arthur for bringing these stories!!!
fabulous!
Happy new year. Where did the old Arthur go? All good but some of the old stuff was priceless.
Instantly subed, so nice woman to listen to!
Thank you!
Interesting stuff...best wishes from the wirral peninsula, bounded by the mersey and the Dee and the Irish sea...geography and rhyme...E...
I didn’t see the recommendation for your show Artur .. better late than never I guess .. Slava Ukraini: )
Artur, do you maybe want a podcast with Denys Davidov?
Dude!!! Good podcast. Like you say, positive/uplifting. No wonder Ukraine is holding on so well. Merry Christmas!!
As I said earlier, IMHO Ukraine would be holding up even better with the people able to maintain a positive attitude staying and helping resist the invader.
Really enjoying the content so far Artur. Might I suggest @philipittner for one of these podcasts? He is an American former foreign journalist/producer with a long history covering Russia and Ukraine. He has been living in Ukraine since March, living amonst the Ukrainians and trying to enlighten people on the less covered portions of the war. The sentiments of people on the ground, the resiliency of the civilian population to what amounts to terrorist actions. He's wonderful. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Artur I'm very late with this reply but I wanted to point out a few things.
1. Beer with Barley is more of a Midwest USA thing. California is too concerned about fitness and doesn't want the extra calories. 😂 If you ever get a chance to travel to Wisconsin let me know and I'll show you so many really good beer options it'll spin your head. Wisconsin does beer right. Look us up, we're known for beer and cheese. 😎
2. As a Westerner the only oddity I found in Kyiv was the bathrooms in the train station. They are old school Russian and I didn't know what the heck to do. 🤔 Otherwise I absolutely loved the feel of it.
3. McDonald's is not looked at as the worst in the US as a whole, places like California look down on it, but other places in the US they are very popular for being a cheap meal that kids love. It just depends on where you are in the US.
Happy New Year to you. 🍻
I love Olga...🙏
Thanks Artur, that was a very nice stream. Olga speaks quickly and efficiently, so you were able to cover a lot of topics. Incidentally, if you want to see some of that Kyiv lifestyle that Olga talks about, then the JohnnyFD channel will give you a good taste, at least from a westerner's point of view.
Artur, I must make you a burger. You would never go back to McDonalds.
Hey Artur, maybe reach out to Artem, aka The Russian Dude(recently renamed The Canadian Dude) for a podcast. Would be a good follow up to Natasha and Vlad as he's also a Russian who's very critical of the war.
The perspective of many Americans is lacking understanding of how expensive it is to wage a war. Younger Americans do not visualize the teamwork and sacrifices that older Americans remember from WW-II, where during 1943 copper pennies were not minted, but instead tin was used because copper was too valuable for use in war materials. Cars were not manufactured because the plants were converted to make military weaponry.
I didn't think I needed to watch this, as I've already seen a lot of Olga's videos. But I clicked on it anyway, and it was interesting to the end. For me, I suppose the most impactful video Olga has done was the one on, "Russia stole Ukraine's history." I had never heard that before. Assuming it was an oversimplified, patriotic version of history taught in schools these days, I started reading books (and watching a few videos) to learn what was really behind the story as she told it. Some of the books are by Serhii Plokhy, who has written on the Cuban missile crisis, Chernobyl, American flyers behind Soviet lines during WWII, and Ukrainian and other Slavic history, always providing me with new information I had not known before. Yes, even the book on the Cuban missile crisis contains new information. And I've become convinced that Olga's video summary was right. Russia really has stolen Ukraine's history.
It is good to know I provided something new. In fact. I Am learning by myself, while preparing video, because I am not always in life focusing so much in such things, while for video I must do researches and read some trusted sources ;-)
I appreciate your interview with everyday people to ambassadors. I’m interested to hear how people on the fringes of society such as prostitutes and drug addicts cope in a war zone
Welcome to the uk 🇬🇧
Great vid again Artur. And what a positive energy again, loving it.
About the trolls, don't mind them too much. Mostly it are a couple of idiots with plural accounts, with one purpose and one purpose only. To disrupt, to devide, to spread fake stuff only to create a bit of fog. People with a healthy brain and some common sense know they are just trolling. And where a troll will post 100 toxic messages across social media, a normal sain person will post just a few. So know they are not the majority even though it might seem like a lot.
Keep up the great work, we love it.
Good interview. 👍🎅... via Ukraine 💙💛🌲
That’s me Olga’s friend Don
Loved the interview with Olga but the constant commercial breaks unfortunately sacrifices continuity.
After seeing Olga's Christmas Tree, I wonder where is your Christmas Tree, Artur? 🌲
If there is enough room you could set up a board on a pully system to help get groceries to the top floors. Don't think it would hold a grandma though :(
Arthur is like uhhh pretty woman! come to Estonia! whaat whaaat we are all thinking it.
Artur, you are moving around bumping your desk. In 5.1 it sounds like a car door is closing outside, or someone is downstairs bumping around.
OMG she is gorgeous!
People must understand that a lot of the money and equipment provided is on a Lend Lease agreement!
I was several times in Kyiv the last 6 month, but there are no night clubs. People go home about 9 p.m. and at 10 nobody is on the street beside soldiers at their check points. Yes life is normal at day time but there is no night life.
I actually corrected myself, that there is a curfew, but during the day time people celebrating birthdays, weddings, having parties in restaurants..
I have 2 close friends who are working in entertainment, and every day they just posting stories how they have new celebration in their restaurants))
@@Olga_Reznikova I agree, in September there were many parties and people ordered in Restaurants food like there is no tomorrow. But at my next visit end of October people were more quiet and did not show such behaviour in public, because there was much critics. It is not apropriate to celebrate loud parties in Kyiv while at the same time soldiers die in the trenches.
Thanks Artur for your videos .. I'm from Italy and also here we have a lot of Russian propaganda .. for me it's one of the most disgusting things I have to cope .. I'm 100% for Ukraine and I have developed a sense of humanity and freedom from my childhood growing into the countryside and loving literature .. but .. different past experience can influence people in different ways .. in Italy we have also a tv show on national tv channel where an idiot university professor describe in favour prorussian points of views
I guarantee you would like beer in the UK, there's a huge selection of available. You're saying the US is bad, I've struggled to find good ale in many European countries too.
Here you can get; ale, bitter, lager, stout, porter and even mead. I wouldn't like to guess how many independent brewers there are.
25:28 what does "don, don" mean after a sentence in russian? I noticed Kadyrov says this too.
I have a friend with a small 3 bed house in Ireland. I can help a woman or couple with kids. The government helps landlords her for next moths at least. It's always disgusted me that economic migrants steal resources and force women and kids to live in a tent. Not to mention they put rescue teams in danger.
Ps. Running up 25 floors will keep you warm for a while and increase your circulation
What, Floors with heating? Never heard of that. Sounds cool. (Is an American)
Gasoline is $2.75/gallon in New Jersey.
The Canadian/ Russian Dude is called Artem.
I think In-N- Out should open a restaurant in Kiev.
Wow, I would kiss and hug this girl forever. But she probably would hit me really bad 😂😂🤣🤣❤❤
Artur I sensed a lot of blushing and politeness from you in this upload.... is it maybe because you were talking to a really pretty Ukrainian lady?
