I'm soo mad at Netflix for canceling Carmen Sandiego. It should have had at least one more season or a few more episodes. That and Covid disrupted the production of season 4. I feel that if Netflix had given season 4 more episodes, or the show one more season. Then the last season would not have felt so crammed, and the final episode could have been stretched out more. Honestly the last 2 episodes of the series could have been more episodes or an entire season.
I completely understand your thoughts, I too am upset that Carmen Sandiego has ended, but I'm also satisfied that the show wasn't stretched out to its limits like Voltron or She-Ra, and maybe the ending could have worked a bit better if we had at least an episode or 2 before having *spoilers* a bit more developed, but like I mentioned before, I am glad that the production staff and crew ended things their way instead of making more episodes because they had to. Sometimes the spark of a show fizzles out when the head honchos demand more seasons when the team wants it to end, kind of like Gravity Falls, they could have gone with 3 seasons, but Alex was fine with only 2.

I literally binged the entire series over 2 consecutive weekends. You know a show is good when I binged the entire show without skipping a single episode or scene!!!
As one of the old men of UA-cam I've been with Carmen Sandiego since the beginning. The number of references to the various series and games of the past could fill it's own video. This show was a prime example of how to do a good reboot.

I wish they didn't rush the final season. They did a good enough job with Season 4 that it didn't ruin the series, however every time I watch it, the end feels very rushed.
The Seasons ranked IMO:
4th: Season 4, it has no real overarching storyline, making the episodes much less cohesive. Instead, it has 4 separate stories (Carmen finding her mother, Robo-spies, History of VILE and Evil Carmen) stuffed into the second shortest season making it all feel rushed. My BIGGEST gripe with the season is how easily Carmen was captured.
3rd: Season 3, it's a big step up from 4, and I love the mask theme. Even if it's the shortest, they used their time effectively giving us 5 unique capers. My only disappointment is how dirty they played my guy Roundabout. He honestly could have been a serious force to counter Carmen, but was taken out in a single episode despite how powerful we've seen him be.
2nd: Season 1, it's a great start to a show, and probably my favourite first season of any animated show I've seen. It gives us an iconic story with fun and relatable characters. If ever you say Carmen Sandiego, I'll think of a scene from this season. The only reason it isn't first is because the next is better.
1st: Season 2, it was an amazing next step for the show, introducing interesting new characters with each caper, like Lady Dokuso, Neal the Eel, and Roundabout, among others. I love how each caper is orchestrated by different VILE members (it gives the season more variety) trying to take Shadowsan's old faculty seat. The addition of Roundabout to the faculty was very promising for the final seasons, unfortunately he only shined in this season because the writers for seasons 3 and 4 clearly don't know how to write a main antagonist, and wrote him out as quickly as he was written in. However, the season on its own is amazing, it's in my top 5 seasons of animated shows for a reason.
I could go on a whole tangent about how badly they handled Roundabout. It looked like they wanted to go down a single main antagonist route, but chickened out, however they already wrote him into the main story, so hastily wrote him out, hoping no one would notice, but forgetting the whole reason he was added to begin with was to fill Shadowsan's seat, however after Roundabout is kicked out, this empty seat never seems to cause any issues, despite a major plot point in Season 2 is that they can't operate properly with only 4 faculty members.
“Used to know” I have never heard of this show minus a few weeks ago.
I had never even heard the name “Carmen Sandiego” until a month and a half ago and now I hear and see it everywhere lol
I wish there was more of the Netflix series

There’s already countless games. But if you’re talking about this version, I doubt it unless you count the special where you had to choose what Carmen would do.

Remember, this video came out prior to the final season, I went by the fantasy that was shown to us in the show where they reference the OG Carmen Sandiego’s design :)
I wish they did show us her face in the end, tho. But I’m happy with what we have.
i know it doesn't matter, (and know that i don't mean any offense by this) but the fact that there is no shading and stuff on your carmen sandiego oc BUGS ME 😭
I know 🤣 it kind of bothers me too, but I went with the static color for time, I was rather busy while making the video and that meant sacrificing the shading 😭

annoying? no wonder.. you only watched 1 episode.. if you're basing your opinion of Zack and Ivy on that, you're aiming low.. try 3-5 episodes.. that gives you a better idea on them.. on any character, for that matter
I could have watched 3-5 episodes, but it was already getting on my nerves and I wasn’t going to waste approx. 2 hours on something that would be bothering me.
@@Gutslove who's to say you wouldn't have seen it in a better light? to limit yourself like that deprives you of an improved view of the show and characters.. seeing at least 3 would earn a better judgment.. i don't see how that would bother you
@@TahishaArvo I have very little free time on my hands, and I prefer to put my energy into something I enjoy rather than get irked by 90’s dialogue that I can’t tolerate anymore compared to when I was much younger.
If it bothers you that much, you can commission a review on the original show if you want and hopefully my opinion might change, but for the time being, it will remain as such.

and while i wish i had the money to commission, it doesn't bother me.. i just like people giving shows a fair shake instead of cheating themselves out of something they might like better than they remember
that being said, i like both shows.. the new one, in a way, feels like a prequel.. it has an interesting flavor to it
