Impressive. What a sweet view from the tower this is. I've traveled on HWY 84 along the line on my way east and could see tracks but not the big yard. The gentleman talking definitely knows his stuff and does a good job with the descriptions. Amazing seeing how much movement is going on at one time. Thank you for posting this.
I had little understanding of what this man was talking about; however, this is a very complex distribution process. I spent a few days in Waycross back in April of 2022.
@ACLTony That was an awsome experience, I'll never forget it. I always as a kid traveled down that highway with my parents looking out the window at the trains. Some 40 years later got to see up close what I was peering through the car window to see.
That's cool. Does he still work for CSX? We have been to this yard a couple more times, and got a good tour of the locomotive facility and the back shops. Thanks for your reply.
