I have an older Bounty Hunter metal detector similar to the Tracker IV called “Prospector”. I’m looking to upgrade finally to something more advanced. I haven’t seen any videos by you on the Bounty Hunter “Land Ranger Pro”. I don’t know if you’ve tried it before. I’m thinking of getting one but I’m curious what you think. Let me know.
Tracker 4 is a can't miss, 71 bucks on amazon, i found a 650 dollar ring with it....Only problem i have is i'm 6'1" and its a little short when swinging.
I've had a tracker IV for years, given to me as a gift but had rarely used it until last night and am still learning the ropes. I went to the local park, and didn't find much, but buried about 4 inches underground was a Budweiser can that celebrated the 1996 olympics in Atlanta. Its no gold ring but i think its still kinda cool
Problem that I have against the Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 is the dial is backwards. I had a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101 that it's dial was on the right way unlike the Bounty Hunter tracker 4, that's the only con that I have against the tracker 4, other than that it was an excellent machine, both of those machines I had for well over 5 years.
Absolutely love your videos Russ. You are the best! Love Bounty Hunter metal detectors. They're what I started out with back in the 70s. I would sell every metal detector I own before I would sell my bounty hunters. They are what got me interested in what would become my greatest hobby of all time. Then perhaps photography.
Hello Danny- I agree Bounty Hunter is an excellent brand. I too started on a Bounty Hunter metal detector, more than 20 years ago. I appreciate your kind words. Keep on digging my friend!
I just ordered the quick draw 2. Amazon. But I don’t see it on bounty hunter detector list. Hope that’s what I get. The land star was the only detector Ever in my 20 years I was disappointed with
Hello- Since there is no ground balance on the Lone Star you will have to reduce your sensitivity. Perhaps try slowing your swing speed down too. I hope this helps.
What headphones do you recommend for time ranger pro and also do I really need gold bug 5 coil for jewelry like small earrings or the regular double d that came with the pro should work
Hello - it is $197 and can be purchased on amazon www.amazon.com/Bounty-Hunter-12COILDD-BH-Black/dp/B09SM4ZWWP/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1IREB1R042X0Q&keywords=12coildd-bh&qid=1673816525&sprefix=12coildd-bh%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-1
Bounty Hunter doesnt make those anymore. They were replaced by the Discovery 1100, 2200, and 3300 units. But it was a good machine and should serve you well.

DetectorPro makes great phones (Grey Ghost/Rattler).
If you want sensitivity for smaller targets then the Gold Bug coil is ideal.
Are you in northern California. I'm taking my TR pro with gold bug coil up to a claim this wee
I am not, but I do travel there to gold prospect. Good luck!
Three great detectors Russ!
Hear, hear!
What is the price and where can I buy the big DD coil for the Tracker IV?
