      I think if she was REALLY sorry she wouldn’t still have this video up on her Miranda channel making her money .... this video she calls indigenous people “PETS” and talking about sharing her Thanksgiving SCRAPS with them ! This is a GROSS video to still have up in 2020!! ua-cam.com/video/OFQL5BK7O5M/v-deo.html ..... and she has the indigenous “character “ speaking Spanish in very stupid way ! Check it out for yourself

    I’m Hispanic and I honestly don’t find it offensive. She didn’t talk negatively about the Hispanic community and honestly this was soo long ago. This was the type of humor that was used back then. I don’t think the video is funny but I’m also not offended by it. It’s making fun of a stereotype. That’s all it is a stereotype it’s not the truth, it’s what you make out of it. If you let it get to you that’s on you. I honestly didn’t even like her apology it’s so scripted. Of course the video doesn’t sit well with this environment.

    she was literally 3 when she hurt her dog people are blowing these “scandals” way out of proportion. I’m hispanic and wasn’t offended by the video, especially sense it was filmed 14 years ago and you can tell how much she has grown and matured. I don’t understand why anyone felt the need to go after someone who has been unproblematic up until now. He who shall not be named asked for the underwear, then months later asked for them again proving that she didn’t send them to him until he asked. Yes it’s wrong that she sent a minor underwear, however if you’ve been a fan of colleen or miranda you would know that this isn’t out of the ordinary for her. The fact that she can own up to everything and you can see how she has matured just shows the kind hearted person she is and always has been.

    Everyone is so hooked on cancel culture, they’re attacking Colleen even after she delivered a pretty decent apology. She didn’t blame anyone, she took full responsibility. People commenting on this video probably haven’t even watched the whole apology video. People are so offended these days. She did something wrong. I’m not saying she didn’t. But at least she owned up to it. She doesn’t deserve to be cancelled, no one does. And she certainly isn’t a creep. For fuck sake stop attacking people on the internet and bringing up old shit. The song was cringe and a little bothersome since it was just singing about tacos, but she apologized and this was 12 years ago!! stereotypes were prominent then and I can assure you almost EVERYONE would be cancelled if given the time to dig up anything from their social media. I can tell she didn’t mean any harm since she’s a COMEDIAN! And the way comedy works has changed throughout the years! (Many comedians 10+ years ago have said offensive things, but being “woke” wasn’t the culture back then, so they have to apologize now. Which we should accept!).

    psa to some people in the comments: people who were offended by her actions & comments have the right to not forgive her. you can’t just be like “well she apologized so if you don’t forgive her than you’re in the wrong” especially if you weren’t the target of her jokes in the first place as there’s nothing for you to forgive, assuming you’re not latina or any other race or ethnicity or group she made fun of. i see so many people “forgive” apologies that aren’t meant for them because as they were never the ones being targeted & it makes no sense. it’s like all the non-black people who have stated that they “forgive” jeffree star. you can support him & believe he’s changed but you can’t accept an apology that was never for you in the first place. lastly, y’all need to stop blaming cancel culture for people being called out for doing actual wrong things. your hatred for cancel culture is not an excuse for people not to be held accountable.

      People have to remember though
      That this was a long time ago
      Back when these kind of stuff were ok , and would be taken light heartedly
      Also , encouraging people that were offended by the video to not forgive her even though it was probably made back when most of them were only kids (so again , it was ok in that time to make racial jokes) is like encouraging cancel culture, which is the most toxic culture, especially when colleen was probably never meaning to offend or make anyone mad at this ,it was just supposed to be funny because that's what was considered funny back then
      So let's not cancel a women that did nothing to purposely offend anyone and stop calling her racist
      And let's focus more on actual racist people , like tekashi69 for example?

    • @doctorwho4ever5
      @doctorwho4ever5 4 роки тому +1

      jethuth cwith I don’t believe he was “encouraging” anyone, he was stating that no one who was offended has to forgive her just because other people do. Just because it was made a long time ago doesn’t mean that the people who are seeing it for the first time can’t be upset. I’m not disagreeing completely with you, people can and do change and this all happened very quickly to her when she previously had nothing problematic about her. But people can still not forgive her or still be offended no matter if it happened yesterday or 15 years ago.

I especially get upset when I see a non-Hispanic accepting her apology because it wasn’t even targeted at them. Like I said personally I accept the apology, but it’s not up to anybody else to accept the apology if they weren’t targeted and I respect someone who doesn’t forgive her. I didn’t even know who she was before all of this, and this was not a good first impression and I personally won’t be watching her videos. Thank you though for saying this because I don’t think anybody realizes this.

      @@doctorwho4ever5 my point is that it was ok back then and nobody knew that it will be offensive in the future, it's like there are a lot of other comedians that made so many racist jokes but are not called for it because they were comedians and it was normal back then to be joking about races, religious beliefs, genders
      So forgiving and letting go of a very old, not intentionally offensive situation and moving on from it, is better than having it inside your heart forever and being offended by it even though it was not intentionally offensive

    • @jethuthcwith6368
      @jethuthcwith6368 4 роки тому +1

      @@doctorwho4ever5 and he/she definitely is encouraging cancel culture
      Because that's what cancel culture is about
      Cancel culture is about digging into people's mistakes even mistakes that were not even intended and mistakes that are a very very long time ago (which is in this case back when this kind of mistake was ok and was taken as a joke and the person who made this mistake for sure didn't predict the future and knew that those jokes will be considered offensive) and bashing people for it, and not forgiving them , and basically just hating them
      Whether he encourages it directly or not , it's still making an effect
      People don't have to forgive her
      But people also need to remember that it was different back then , and that you can't get mad at someone for making something that was considered normal back then but isn't now
      That's like you being in a school where it was ok to chew gum while the teacher is explaining , fast forward 5 years it's not ok anymore and it offends teachers when students chew gum while the teachers are busting their ass off teaching , and now you will be punished for the mistake that you did 5 years ago and the mistake that you did was considered ok back then

    I will say, he was 17 when she asked him if he would be interested In an internship working towards getting a job as Miranda’s twitter admin. I know that he is a fan and that some may consider it to be suspicious for someone to hire someone who looks up to them but at 17 people are making job and college decisions. He’s old enough to at that point to know what’s up. My sister has a job and she’s 15. So why are we pretending that a child is being prayed upon when he’s about to be an “adult”? Also Colleen wouldn’t be anywhere hear him. If he worked for her It would be strictly over the Internet? So where does the whole grooming thing come in? Maybe there’s more that I’m missing? I think that as a creator she made a mistake, but I don’t think that it’s so big that she needs to be canceled.

      Majestic Kaneki There’s so much context that you completely missed. On a livestream, she was giving fans clothes she impulsively bought while online shopping. It’s just something silly that she does, but Twitter perpetuates the child predator narrative because they’re all a bunch of extremely dramatic 13 year olds looking to brew up drama..

    Complete respect for her, she handled the situation and apology really well and I admire that there was no tears, no begging for sympathy and how she completely understood she was in the wrong.

      remember when racial stereotypes were actually funny and no one was sensitive? back when i was in elementary school, (im asian) kids would slant their eyes with their fingers and go "chinese, japanese, korean," and then they would open their eyes as big as they could "white!". people have gotten so sensitive oof

      Um, we should try to change, not regress. Ive had a lot of shit from white people for being latina. Let's STOP the trend of laughing at racist shit. If someone did this to a white person they would get mad as fuck.
