Succulents need normal pots with drainage holes.

If you’re going to plant succulents in a planter without drainage, make sure to put a layer of rocks in the bottom before the soil, it’ll help them drain a little better

that doesn't work. water doesn't go through the gravel, it just sticks to the dirt. i tried it several years ago and it almost killed the succulents. if you absolutely have to use a specific planter, drill a hole in the bottom.
wtf is with this whole watering succulents w a spray bottle shit..? they've got roots like normal plants so the water has to actually reach the roots. there's probably been a wave of succy deaths from all this misinformation lolol

Succulents can absorb water through their leaves. I still agree with you that succulents need some water from the roots.

Succulents don't require a lot of water just like cactus, although yes, she should have watered it a bit more

The lack of drainage holes isn't that bad, as long as they aren't watered excessively it's not a problem. What is a problem is that none of these allow the plant enough room for their roots. They will become potbound and it it'll be extremely difficult to water them properly. Misting is not the proper way to water succulents.
It depends of how they take care of the succulent. Most succulent pots or something like a terrarium don't have any drainage whole, just don't water them too much.
@@jervygg8738 not talking about terrariums, the no- drainage-hole pots are decorative pots. Most pots have drainage holes. In fact, misting or water a little bit for succulents aren't good ideas. You should water when it's completely dry and until the water reaches the drainage hole. Overall, im not a fan of these hacks.

My concern is the concrete itself leaching into and killing the plants. At least wait a couple of weeks for the cement to properly cure, then thoroughly clean, so they say... with white vinegar + water. Recipe online

Please don’t follow any of these DIY’s they are horrible for plants of any kind including succulents! Succulents need room to grow, they don’t stay tiny forever! There are problems of overcrowding where there are too many succulents in one pot and not enough soil for the roots to grow. And there are also problems with drainage holes, succulents don’t like sitting in a lot of water, if you did a DIY from this video and it didn’t have a drainage hole you would have to adjust your watering schedule for those plants. Please do not do any of these crafts.

Okay one, how are you supposed to water half of these? It'll either leak through and get water everywhere, or it doesn't have drainage. Succulents need drainage to survive, more of these will end up having the product of dead succulents in a matter of weeks or months

2 minutes in: take an already over watered echeveria.. and only break up it’s root ball a tiny bit not enough to actually let them breathe . And don’t bother replacing that nasty nursery soil it came in. Just slap some wet moss around the sides and steal someone’s elses original kokedama idea .

Those ones with no drainage holes could actually work but not well, you can water the plant but not like how you normally should with a succulent planted in a pot with a drainage hole. Wouldn't recommend but cool creativity.
