This is my favorite video of your series by far hopefully it will do a update as so many people are suddenly into gardening now with everything is going on. Personally I have done avocado -I remember growing up my mother always had avocado pits in glass jars of water around the kitchen sink I don't remember her ever planting them in the dirt though. We have also done the pineapple one when we lived in Hawaii and as far as I can remember it took a few years but we actually got a pineapple from it. I don't remember my mother putting the crown of the pineapple in water but she might have but I clearly remember her putting it into the dirt in front yard. I would like to also see the addition of how many years did actually takes for the things you grow to actually bear fruit or vegetables.
They grow...they're just like that...they don't even need to be moistened before planting... they're already moist enough... watermelon seeds have started by themselves in this way for like three times. And they dried up because I forgot to water them.
Hi, if you are reading this just remember that you are beautiful😍and loved!😘 Have a great day/night!❤️💜💙‼️ With love from a guy who dreams of becoming a successful UA-camr one day! 👍🏻
How long does It take for each of these to grow? 1- watermelons - 80 days 2- tomatoes - 50 to 60 days 3- cucumber -- 50 to 70 days 4- onions - 2 to 4 months 5- pineapple - about 24 months 6- strawberries - 6 months 7- oranges/nectarines - about 15 years 8- cranberries - 3 to 4 years 9- pumpkins - 90 to 120 days 10- avocado - 10 to 15 years 11- apricot - 100 to 120 days 12- red pepper - 60 to 90 days
How is that a "hack"? You're using seeds to produce a fruit...it's almost like they're meant to do this....wow....do you not know where fruit comes from????
I can only confirm the avocado pit growing. Been 3 months but since i dont have a garden they'll stay as a leafy plant. I recommend trying it. In the video they plant it right away when it sprouts but mine grew branches and leaves when it was still in water, planted them in soil recently hopefully it'll give me more leaves and branches. 💚🌱
@@Maikel-_- yea it has, they are much bigger and have much more leaves, however its normally spring time here but its been cold and rainy instead, i watered them before these happened yet they still couldnt absorb water and they are drowning because of it. If you try this and its time for you to plant it in soil, be very careful and if it starts dropping the leaves like its dying, put it in a dry hot area until the excess moisture from.the soil is gone, u can also just look around plant forums because i have seen a lot of these problems about avocado pit growth, its popular. You can find info everywhere, good luck planting!
I've done most of these except the pineapple. They can't last in Oregon zone winters. I actually am starting to sell winterized avocados that I sprouted from seed.
Thank you! I do have a productive garden. But beautiful, Idk if I would use that word to describe it lol because it isn't very neatly set up. But to me, it is incredibly beautiful. If you can, start throwing your fresh fruit and vegetable waste (skins and seeds) outside along the borders of your yard. When you mow the lawn, throw the clippings on top of where you spread the seeds/skins. By next spring, you will have a garden started. If you can afford hay, sprinkle it over it too. The easiest plants to grow are strawberries, potatos, tomatoes, cucumbers and melons. You can add more as you go. Learning along the way! You can do it, it believe in u💞
Thank you "5 Minute Crafts" for making this video. The seed-saving techniques shown in this video only work if you take seeds from non F1 hybrids, but most commercial produce are F1 hybrids. They will not produce "true" (they will not produce at all, or will produce very low yields of stunted plants that are not the parent variety). You can save seed from heirloom varieties, and they will produce "true". BTW: Seeds are cheap to purchase, and they are ready to be planted. If you don't have an heirloom variety available as a produce item in the grocer or produce market, then buy some seed, and then save the seeds you get from your own produce. :-) If you grow fruit trees from seeds, you may be disappointed. The fruits are often from a different variety than the rootstock that the fruiting tops are grafted onto. The rootstock prevents the tree from dying from disease, or producing small crops of possibly damaged fruits. If you grow the trees from the fruit seeds, then they may succumb to disease. Even if they do make it to adulthood, it takes at least 3-7 years to BEGIN getting a regular, decent sized harvest of fruit when you grow fruit trees from seed. The time it takes varies based on the type of fruit, growing conditions, etc.... If you buy saplings that are 2-4 years old, then you will begin getting a decent batch of fruit much sooner, and you can get varieties that are already proven to do well in your location. The planters made with the clothespins are too small to grow anything for long, and there are too many succulents placed in them. They will soon become root-bound and need to be replanted.
@@saarza9991 Thank you for your comment. Nope, not a botanist, although I know a few. I'm just a well-informed gardener with 30+ years' experience growing things.
